You inspire me man I am a 17 year old and want to join the army after I graduate. I am the oldest of 5 and my mom try her best to take care of all of us and I just want to be able to provide.
I’ll tell anyone i am PRO ARMY all day did 20 years retired . The hardest part was the people who didn’t understand people and power tripping folks. But the army has paid for everything i have. I pray you have a successful career
I retired/SFC US Army in 1997 after 20yrs of service, this is a very good video and it's a great message to young people that are still searching for a start in life. I don't regret it at all, I'm From the Bronx, NYC with very few options in the 1970's for a young black man. I joined at 20yrs old and I will be 68yrs in October of 2024 and I can say that the US Army was one of the best things I ever did!
Army changed my life too man im out now but everything I have from my house to my scatpack to my financial security and the man I am today is all due to the army and Im grateful despite the bad times
dang I'm glad because I'm truly deciding to go for bettering myself to the most potential but having a place in the end of all , not worrying about what work you have to do for stability .. i will be very grateful
I joined the Marine Corps fresh out of high school. Turned 18 in bootcamp, worst birthday ever! Fast forward to now, I'm retired, I own my own home, my MBA was paid for via Post 9/11 G.I. Bill, so I can't complain much. Great video, great car, good luck on the rest of your career!
Hey staff sergeant. I have an army story of my own. So ever since I joined I knew I was getting out after my first contract in active duty and everyone knew that eventually at my duty station. Some many people wanted me to re-enlist when I had a few months left. Like it was practically harrassment. My retention nco was all over my ass. He tried everything. He even told me two year contract for bonus for $14,000. He tried so hard he even said I could renelist when I only had 3 days left. I said respectfully no. Then in my last night I was in my bed thinking about it for FOUR hours. Then I thought to myself what the hell I mean it is Germany after all, way better than America. America sucks ass anyways. So I walked downstairs to my retention nco office and tried to walk in but the door was locked. He wasn’t there so I was like well………. I guess I’m getten out. Then I walked to my friends room and knocked on his door. He answered and I said I’m tryen to re-enlist but sergeant moon isn’t here. He then laughed. Ahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha. He said you’re not bro. You’ve been telling me you’re getten out for two years now. Then I said well it is Germany. America sucks ass and there’s nothing really worthwhile in Ohio. Ohio sucks ass. Then he said well run to his house in housing then. Then I jogged to housing knocking on people doors asking if they knew sergeant moons place. Couldn’t find him. Mind you it was like around 6 pm. So I walked back to my barracks and thought to myself well I guess I’ll be ok. So then I left the next day. I’m doing real good now though.

Roger that!! I did the college thing, and it didn't work out. I joined the Army, served 22 years, deployed to two combat zones, and traveled the world. Now, I own a house in my hometown and a condo in Vegas...life is good.

Now listen up young people he is In during peace time there are not active war going on right now like it was after 9/11 but if a war pops off you are left with the affects of war not only physical pain but mental and trust me if I could do it all over I would have got out after the first time I went to Iraq three deployment trust me it’s not worth it when you rise your right hand you belong to uncle sam
