@@KongoSpeaks Firstly, thanks for your service. They are probably referring to HS diploma or GED, medical, passing ASVAB/OAR, passing PFTs, getting through basic. To be fair, most people can pass all of those with no problem, so I get why you said 0 qualifications/requirements, but some folks might not be capable. Either way, the point that you're making is that it's not that difficult to enlist and they're not looking at Phd-level qualifications.

I spent 4 years in. Fuck the military but I miss my boys…. It fucking sucks but the bonds you make are crazy. I’d recommend to most young men to join for 4 years and get out. It just gives you such amazing life skills. Basically guaranteed to get out and be a better person than before

    • @flightrue5794

@@Wrathofreason I say F the military just because it can be extremely hard mentally. It makes relationships extremely difficult whether it be familial, romantic or platonic. And for some people in my experience it can drastically change your world view. Some people it’s for the better and some people it’s for worse. But I recommend it because it teaches such amazing lessons and just builds you into a proper man if you really go into it head first. And like my original comment said, the bonds you create with the brothers & sisters by your side are some of the best you can ever make and tend to be life long. I live on the other side of the country from my two best friends I had when I was in and any of us would drop any and everything if one needed help.

I did 8 years in the US Army and it literally changed the direction of my life. Unlike many people, I used everything that it had to offer to my benefit: I got an undergrad and Masters degree, I used my VA loan to buy a few homes that contributed to me becoming a millionaire, I traveled the world and smashed so many chicks that I can't count, I have friends from there that I keep in touch with till this day.

Military ain’t that bad. I’m in the army with a support job. Overall the government is gonna take from you whatever they please. You need to find that motivation and take them benefits you get do something with it and have a plan for when you get out. Go to school, get them certifications, utilize the resources. Use it up every chance you get.
I joined for school, because I don’t want to be in debt. A misconception is that you can’t go to school while you are in. You can especially depending on job, so choose a good job. But at the end of day, if you are motivated and determined then you can do it regardless of how hard. Get a degree or certification to use for when you leave even if it’s a job you don’t plan to do when you leave.

And for the first half of the test (The most important for your Score) “ Dummies series Basic Math and Algebra” and other Basic math/Algebra math Books. Focus on Fractions -
      mathematical Word Problems -
      Geometry-
      And English Definition for words-
(Focus on the first three here, as the dictionary has millions of words and it’s impossible to remember all their definitions compared to a hand full of math formulas) use TH-cam as a virtual teacher.
college is a pice of paper that gives you chance at a job. The military on a resume locks your chance for a interview. Not to mention you can presume school while In and get out with the best of both worlds.

Most in college these days are just going through the routine and graduating with a 6 figure debt which will be stuck with them for a decade or more. Having to make a decision of what to major at the age of 18-19 is such a life altering decision at such a young age. Whereas in the military, a person can gain insight with life experiences and independence before deciding where they like to head. Please correct me if I’m wrong here. Thank you.

The most important for any prospect is...do your research before you join. Walking into the recruitment office blind is the worst mistake allot of young men have made, the recruiter is not your friends, treat them like the sleaziest cars salesmen you ever met, like theyre trying to get you to sign a $10,000 carnote with 30% interest and biweekly payments for a 1995 honda. research all the branches and careers paths, talk to vets online and hear their experience. Ive seen the military turn dregs of society into great men with massive prospective careers, but ive seen many people come out broken and bitter. It all depends on you play the game.

Of course. Thank you for watching.
To answer your question, I believe the military offers great opportunities for women too. I know plenty of military women who have/had successful military careers. However as a woman, I think it’s important to consider extra (potential) negatives:
      1. Some jobs can be VERY physically demanding, making it much harder for some women to perform as well as their male coworkers. (However, there are plenty of jobs that aren’t physically demanding too.)
      2. Certain jobs can be mostly male dominated. (In my job there were 250 men and 4 women). A lot of dudes in the military are weirdos, sexist, and misogynistic, and will treat you differently because you’re a woman. (I’ve actually witnessed this as a man.) So if you wouldn’t feel comfortable being in a mostly male environment, make sure to research the job description of whatever you’re assigned before you sign the contract to join. These kinds of male dominated jobs tend to be the physically demanding jobs that I mentioned earlier.
Again thank you for watching and commenting. And I hope this response was helpful.

I appreciate it bro I’m shipping out August 20th for ammo, I appreciate the advice.
Another quick question, how did you grow your hair out so long while in (I’m also African American)

    • @KongoSpeaks
      @KongoSpeaks  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

Of course bro. Glad I could help!
I grew my hair out long while in the military because the Air Force has very relaxed policies. There are certain hairstyle specifications that you must maintain while in uniform and if you read the uniform policy, there are certain loopholes you can use that will allow you to have long hair.
But a lot of older people in the military don’t like people having longer hair while in uniform, so I was challenged almost on a daily basis. So I carried around the uniform policy to ensure that if a higher ranking individual ordered me to cut my hair, I could read the policy to them and refuse to follow that order because I wasn’t breaking any hair regulations.
A lot of people don’t know what they’re talking about and they always think they’re right. So when you prove them wrong you might earn a reputation and people might start to dislike you for being a “rebel”. That’s a personal decision you have to make. Personally I didn’t give a fuck so I kept doing it anyway.
Hope that answered your question bro.

Commanders can go to bat for troops that are worth saving. I am sorry that you story in the AF ended that way. Go get an Airframe and Powerplant license. Did 6 years infantry national guard . Whether it’s worth it depends on your viewpoint of life . If you just want to travel and make money it’s good , but you won’t spend much time with family. unless you’re married then you can relocate them with you but y’all will constantly move and you still won’t spend much time home . If you don’t retire with them/deploy or utilize the education benefits to establish a career for when you ets , then it is all for not . Though civilian jobs look at military experience as a plus , it doesn’t open the door to high paying jobs . Deploying gives you a monthly stipend after ets .
