that comment ain’t help but you good man the brain is a muscle work it out at the beginning it’s hell then it gets dope when you learning things u get tested on school subjects start learning
I didn’t have a good education at all and In my experience with the ASVAB “ASVAB For dummies” use this book to educate yourself on the second half of the test that’s the Mechanical, Science, Astronomy, Biology, electronics ect for Job Placement. And for the first half of the test (The most important for your Score) “ Dummies series Basic Math and Algebra” and other Basic math/Algebra math Books. Focus on Fractions - mathematical Word Problems - Geometry- And English Definition for words- (Focus on the first three here, as the dictionary has millions of words and it’s impossible to remember all their definitions compared to a hand full of math formulas) use TH-cam as a virtual teacher. college is a pice of paper that gives you chance at a job. The military on a resume locks your chance for a interview. Not to mention you can presume school while In and get out with the best of both worlds.
Maybe not terrible to you, but those negatives can be terrible for other people. Also me popping hot was not a negative. It was just a part of my PERSONAL experience. It does not apply to the majority of people who are in/looking to join the military.
@@saidimbackinaction College doesn't guarantee you will get a job in the degree you went for. Around 60% of people who have college degrees do not work in the field they went to college for. Plus you may incur student debt. There are some degrees not worth getting and some you need to be prepared to finish or else you will have a mound of debt to pay off like if you went to be a doctor. That's around 10 years minimum of college with an almost guaranteed debt of 250k plus once finished.
@@AllforOne_OneforAll1689 military pays for my debt, my job specifically requires no employer and in fact i can work for myself online 40 hours a week.
Hey bro Navy vet here. I agree with you wholeheartedly but you do have to take the ASVAB to see what jobs you may qualify for so they can send you to school to learn the basics of that job. I served a long time ago but if i had to do it again i wouldn't. Im way too old now anyway😊
Thank you for sharing. I, myself did not enlist, but instead graduated from college. I have been exploring the idea of the military (the Air Force) for my 9yo son for later his life. Most in college these days are just going through the routine and graduating with a 6 figure debt which will be stuck with them for a decade or more. Having to make a decision of what to major at the age of 18-19 is such a life altering decision at such a young age. Whereas in the military, a person can gain insight with life experiences and independence before deciding where they like to head. Please correct me if I’m wrong here. Thank you.
The most important for any prospect is...do your research before you join. Walking into the recruitment office blind is the worst mistake allot of young men have made, the recruiter is not your friends, treat them like the sleaziest cars salesmen you ever met, like theyre trying to get you to sign a $10,000 carnote with 30% interest and biweekly payments for a 1995 honda. research all the branches and careers paths, talk to vets online and hear their experience. Ive seen the military turn dregs of society into great men with massive prospective careers, but ive seen many people come out broken and bitter. It all depends on you play the game.
I am probably one of the few women who watch your videos. So I wanted to ask, What do you think about joining the military as a woman? I have thought about joining. Did you work with any women while being in the military? Super helpful video, Thank you
Of course. Thank you for watching. To answer your question, I believe the military offers great opportunities for women too. I know plenty of military women who have/had successful military careers. However as a woman, I think it’s important to consider extra (potential) negatives: 1. Some jobs can be VERY physically demanding, making it much harder for some women to perform as well as their male coworkers. (However, there are plenty of jobs that aren’t physically demanding too.) 2. Certain jobs can be mostly male dominated. (In my job there were 250 men and 4 women). A lot of dudes in the military are weirdos, sexist, and misogynistic, and will treat you differently because you’re a woman. (I’ve actually witnessed this as a man.) So if you wouldn’t feel comfortable being in a mostly male environment, make sure to research the job description of whatever you’re assigned before you sign the contract to join. These kinds of male dominated jobs tend to be the physically demanding jobs that I mentioned earlier. Again thank you for watching and commenting. And I hope this response was helpful.
@jaidynslaughter1714 Go medical. Not dental. Anything Medical. Preferably, try to get optometry/Public Health. Wait for those and any other medical job. Don’t accept anything else. Thank me later. (I actually care about you and don’t wanna see you depressed).
I appreciate it bro I’m shipping out August 20th for ammo, I appreciate the advice. Another quick question, how did you grow your hair out so long while in (I’m also African American)
Of course bro. Glad I could help! I grew my hair out long while in the military because the Air Force has very relaxed policies. There are certain hairstyle specifications that you must maintain while in uniform and if you read the uniform policy, there are certain loopholes you can use that will allow you to have long hair. But a lot of older people in the military don’t like people having longer hair while in uniform, so I was challenged almost on a daily basis. So I carried around the uniform policy to ensure that if a higher ranking individual ordered me to cut my hair, I could read the policy to them and refuse to follow that order because I wasn’t breaking any hair regulations. A lot of people don’t know what they’re talking about and they always think they’re right. So when you prove them wrong you might earn a reputation and people might start to dislike you for being a “rebel”. That’s a personal decision you have to make. Personally I didn’t give a fuck so I kept doing it anyway. Hope that answered your question bro.

Did 6 years infantry national guard . Whether it’s worth it depends on your viewpoint of life . If you just want to travel and make money it’s good , but you won’t spend much time with family. unless you’re married then you can relocate them with you but y’all will constantly move and you still won’t spend much time home . If you don’t retire with them/deploy or utilize the education benefits to establish a career for when you ets , then it is all for not . Though civilian jobs look at military experience as a plus , it doesn’t open the door to high paying jobs . Deploying gives you a monthly stipend after ets .

Focus on Fractions -
mathematical Word Problems -
Geometry-
And English Definition for words-
(Focus on the first three here, as the dictionary has millions of words and it’s impossible to remember all their definitions compared to a hand full of math formulas) use TH-cam as a virtual teacher.
college is a pice of paper that gives you chance at a job. The military on a resume locks your chance for a interview. Not to mention you can presume school while In and get out with the best of both worlds.
Very informative video ‼️‼️ thank you sir 💯

Can you do a video on the day in the life of a Air Craft Mechanic .
That’s crazy the negative was self inflicted for popping hot. The negatives aren’t terrible
Maybe not terrible to you, but those negatives can be terrible for other people. Also me popping hot was not a negative. It was just a part of my PERSONAL experience. It does not apply to the majority of people who are in/looking to join the military.
Great analysis, and THANK YOU for your service!!
Thanks Man🙏🏾✝️🤲🏾
Join a skilled trade union instead. You get paid for the 4-5 years of apprenticeship and then come out making 90k plus!
what about college? what if i want to be a phyctriast and get payed 600k in the future rather than make 90k right now
@@saidimbackinaction
College doesn't guarantee you will get a job in the degree you went for.

Hey bro Navy vet here. I agree with you wholeheartedly but you do have to take the ASVAB to see what jobs you may qualify for so they can send you to school to learn the basics of that job. I served a long time ago but if i had to do it again i wouldn't. Im way too old now anyway😊
Great video and great review. This is good information.
Thank you.
Appreciate this video 👏🏾thinking bout joining and this was real informative
The most important for any prospect is...do your research before you join. Walking into the recruitment office blind is the worst mistake allot of young men have made, the recruiter is not your friends, treat them like the sleaziest cars salesmen you ever met, like theyre trying to get you to sign a $10,000 carnote with 30% interest and biweekly payments for a 1995 honda. research all the branches and careers paths, talk to vets online and hear their experience. Ive seen the military turn dregs of society into great men with massive prospective careers, but ive seen many people come out broken and bitter. It all depends on you play the game.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Your video is very educational and informative for me. Im trying to convince my sons aged 19 and 21 to join.
However as a woman, I think it’s important to consider extra (potential) negatives:
1. Some jobs can be VERY physically demanding, making it much harder for some women to perform as well as their male coworkers. (However, there are plenty of jobs that aren’t physically demanding too.)
@thecoyaknow_2004 why no dental? Dental laboratory is #2 on my list & dental assistant is #4
I appreciate it bro I’m shipping out August 20th for ammo, I appreciate the advice.
@@KongoSpeaks it did, thank you I appreciate it. I’ll make sure to remember this once im in

That was a fair and honest assessment. Well done, sir!
I myself am about to join the military, specifically starting out with the Air National Guard here in Oregon. It's my dream to fly the F-35 someday, but I'll start small with fixing up aircraft because I love flying machines and I like fixing things! 😁
#6 on your Pros list is why Im doing OCS. Being out here in the corporate world, fuck I'd rather go into the military.
Yeah bro. The military makes life a whole lot simpler in that regard. Best of luck to you when you finally get in.

Very good video with outstanding advice. I really think if you had been able to talk to your commander like you did in this video, things might have turned out differently. Commanders can go to bat for troops that are worth saving. I am sorry that you story in the AF ended that way. Go get an Airframe and Powerplant license. I’m here to educate myself more about the military, cuz my son will join after he graduates from college in may 2025 .

I have a question how long is the contract?
I believe other branches have different length contracts. I was in the Air Force. They only offer 4 or 6 year contracts.
So when your contract is over do you still have free college
Yes
Yes you do. Once you’ve served you retain all benefits of serving. Free college for you, spouse, or kids. Free and good health insurance. Some qualify for paying less taxes, an option not available to civilians.
Is it possible to sustain a relationship while in the Air Force
Be single like really single and focus on personal growth till you get done
