    Please make a video on adjusting struts where bags sits separate from the struts. Like that on the rear s550 mustang platform.

    I've got a 99 eclipse I just installed the air strut on along with the 3p management system. The issue I'm having #1 my presets achieve different ride heights depending if I'm coming from an air out position or an all up position. I thought I could be the adjust on the strut. Issue with them is there is not very much adjustment down to achieve the "half your tire diameter" instructions... half my tire is 12" when aired up my measurements from center of wheel to wheel liner is 17" in the front which is where I'm having the biggest issues with

      We find a lot of people will bottom out the shock body to get as low as possible. Not realizing they are sacrificing lift and ride quality. Simply adjusting them properly for their tire size will keep the same drop and improve all other aspects.

    Would this procedure be the same for air suspension for example airlift that the bag and strut comes assembled together?

    • @UniversalAir
      @UniversalAir  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but different collapsed height of the bag

    Is there a reason I can’t get my lower locking collar to come loose? My airlift struts are brand new, fully installed, but I can seem to get the collar loose with the spanner wrench… do I need to take the strut out or?

    actually by doing this and driving low, you'll bottom out your strut and blow them faster. The way the owner had it was perfect. Owner probably drives low on a certain PSI while getting most stroke out of the coilover. Yes you get more lift out of them by doing this but idk most of the people on bags I know drive very low.

    Hello Mr. Ratclif,
    Do you happen to know if this is the same method for adjusting air lift suspension?

    • @UniversalAir
      @UniversalAir  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you will adjust the same way, just different bag collapsed lengths.

    • @grffx
      @grffx 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup! EXACTLY however Universal Air “ Bags “ are Way better!

    Wuts up guys... I have the universal air aero sport bags and im putting them on megan coilovers I was wondering when mounting the bags when they are empty should there be play or a gap from the top of the bag to the bushing or should it all be tight... I was concerned with airing up and the strut wouldn’t have any more space to travel if it was all the way up to the bushing with no air in the bag... hopefully that makes sense

    • @UniversalAir
      @UniversalAir  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please check out our instructions we did on it. www.universalair.com/v/instructions/nonmacadjustingcoilovers.pdf We want to have the bag compressed just before the shock is compressed. That way it won't limit the travel

    Is this procedure the same for the rears?

    • @grffx
      @grffx 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you’re running the same “type” of bag over strut style suspension on the rear that you’re running on the front then i dont see why not HOWEVER most rear setups VERY and lets say you would be adjusting the actual height through separated rear suspension components where the bags are separate from your actual rear strut but ethaway if you have a reliable brand of Air Suspension like Universal Air, Most definitely you would get 100% support on how to go about it you wanna measure that bag but the process would be slightly different on the rear depending your set up but the overall point is to measure from the hub to the actual vendor so that you’re not rubbing and everything is fitting properly.

    you mean shocks? these aint no coilovers

    • @UniversalAir
      @UniversalAir  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would prefer to call them threaded body dampers, but, most people like to call them coilovers 😁
