Seems like we're in a similar situation. I eventually reached a compromise with my mom, so I'm getting a pixie bob next month. Definitely longer than what I wanted, but it's what I could get her to agree on. Maybe see if you could get your mom to do the same if you don't mind a longer cut? If not I say you be you and cut your own hair. It's yours, not hers. I'm personally planning to ask for a shorter pixie once I've proven I can pull off and do not regret the longer pixie. @@lucerochicas722 I would suggest starting with a longer bob and just slowly asking for shorter cuts. hopefully your mom warms up to the idea! truthfully I don't have any personal experience with this because my mom always let me do whatever I wanted with my appearance (within reason. she did not let me get multiple blue streaks in my hair when I was 12 and opted for 1 streak, which honestly saved me I think)
Hahaha your feelings towards your hair is exactly mine! But currently I pledged to grow my hair till my butt length, and then donate the hair by chopping till my armpit length, if I'm feeling miserable about the remaining hair I would just chop again to my favourite pixie so I don't wash my hair so infrequently, I no longer need these hair conditioner hair serum leave-on hair cream hair mask blah blah blah to make the hair not too tangle... Literally I'm battling with my heart every day every night over chopping my own hair with purely impulsion and frustration. By the way I'm dyshidrotic eczema prone and living in hot and humid tropical climate country so I guess that's why I constantly urge for pixies LOL
My mom has been telling me that i can’t cut my hair because I’ll look like a boy, but i pestered her into letting me chop it off, I’m gender fluid and my mom doesn’t know that
I typically go for 1/2 inch close to my ears and blend out to 3/4 inch and 1 inch around the sides and back-I have ears that stick out so I can't do much shorter than that 😂
