- I gave myself a short haircut and here I show you how i did it. Why I did it? My hairdresser had to cancel our haircutting appointment and I needed content, haha. Call me crazy, but I set a new appointment for this Saturday so I thought why not giving myself a short haircut if my hairstylist is coming anyway, hehe.
Before you try this by yourself, I am not a professional hairstylist! So I'm not taking any responsibility if you *uck up your own hair.
Giving yourself a short haircut can be very risky for your hair and neck, haha. So be careful and aware of what you putting yourself into because once you've started you have to bring it to the end.
I do have a long history of styling, dyeing, bleaching and cutting my own hair for more than 15 years and i followed this hair cutting tutorial by this Vietnamese master hairdresser :

I have to tell you that i love the outcome. Of course, it's not perfect but the main thing i like about my new short hair is that it's giving me an androgynous look which i really admire. It emphasizes my masculine vibes which all of us females have. I promptly wanted to try out more short haircuts and styles i also want a to try out a men's haircut just to see how i will look like it.
I also can't wait to start dyeing my hair again, it`s way less work and easier with short hair :)

To everyone else that's been wanting to get this haircut, go for it ! I got this 4 days ago and have been receiving compliments left and right, even from my mom who was so against me cutting my hair short! I look both pretty and handsome at the same time with this cut now 🤣

i cut my hair yesterday following your instructions and IT TURNED OUT REALLY GOOD!! i've been thinking about it for years but didn't had the courage to do so bc of so many reasons like hairdressers at the salon wouldn't do it the way i wanted it to be and people constantly saying that it wouldn't fit on me and that i'd look like a tomboy, but whatever!! it fits just right to me and i'm loving it!! 😭❤️

when I cut my own hair I really really enjoy it. I feel the freedom of do whatever I want to do with my hair and the process it's very exciting. I really recommend it, after that you will feel better, trust me.

There's two ways this can go: I can do it well and I'll have nice boy hair. Or, I can mess up and my mom will feel obligated to fix my awful hair.

Awesome video! Throughout quarantine I've been the one cutting my own hair, and honestly it's so fun! I've already cut off more than 10 inches (and no worries my hair has turned out good every time!). I'm planning to give myself yet another haircut, my hair currently hangs above my shoulders. After some inspo from IG I now sorta want a pixie cut, but am wondering if I can do this one myself, as the shorter the hair, the harder it is to cut it well (from my experience). I was originally thinking of having my dad give me a pixie cut, but ur video just makes me want to do it right now!

I'm at a point where I just about need a half a bottle of hairspray per "do." Hair is past my shoulders and of course due to the pandemic stylists aren't working. I've been watching a few of these videos and tomorrow morning is the day. It won't be perfect but it will be short. Good thing I own a wig from way back when....I may be using it. LOL.
