Been learning this for my A+, I really needed a visual explanation like this. The training videos I've watched are all just text slideshows explaining this stuff, which without a point of reference becomes incomprehensible. Thank you.
I am an old TV/VCR repair tech. I have an interview for a printer repair tech. and I know little about printers. Thanks for the review; you helped me get prepared for the interview.
I've worked on these copiers for over 47 years, there are some service reps still around, some retired, that have seen the early models from before. The old camera lens florescent lamps systems, all xerographic adjustments had to be manually performed. We've seen the problems on those earlier models, and the today's models. We can see the differences from the old generation and new generation, and what needs to be done to these machines to keep them going.

Maybe because only the rollers are that hot but paper isn't, it requires significant time for something to transfer heat to an object so the temperature of source and object become equal, but the paper comes in contact with hot roller just for a moment. And also the ignition temp of paper is about 233°C, slightly higher tham the temp of roller mentioned here 220°C
there's no such thing as a laser "jet" it is a misnomer. it is a laser heat fusing process. inkjet ink "jet" jettisons material (liquid) to a page. this should read "animation of print processes in laser printers"
My Canon ink printer code 1403 in trash F U Canon. Got a $99 Brother laser with auto-duplex and dirt cheap aftermarket toner. 2 for $23 over 1000 pages each.

I'm betting Lexmark likes that their old ad lives on as a training aid. Nice work.
It's amazing that all of this happens in 2 seconds.
It's pretty cool to think that the roller might need several revolutions to complete one sheet of paper
animations are more helpful to understand things.
i always prefer them.
wow....definitely it's saves a lot of reading and confusion. I jut loved it

When I take out the paper from the laser printer, it feels warm.
Because of heater, it is normal.
Printer Lore is wild
So it still requires “toner” “ink”
When I was in school I thought laser printer burns the paper to create black colour LOL

It is a nice and useful video. Starink toner cartridge- start different.
2:00 the line representing the paper is too thin
Oh didnt even notice that was paper at first
why does the paper not burn at 220 degree centigrade
Its too fast for it to burn. E.g: try putting a piece of paper on your stove with a pan
