Thank you so much!! You made it looks extremely easy but that scared me at the same time 😞. I am a beginner and still getting familiar with the interface, If someone showed me this model 20 minutes ago I would have no clue how to do it. 3ds max is not easy at all am not sure whether I would be able to master it or not.
the tutorial is very well done, but when i try to do it i can`t complete the scaling on 2:32, it goes just on z axe but not x or y, can someone help me?
it's happening because your scaling icon is set to "Select and squash". by default it is "Select and Uniform Scale" but if you press "R" key multiple times it is changed to "Select and squash"
I can't follow the step on 6:45 . When I delete the TurboSmooth my vase turns to the previous shape whithout the FFD effect. How can I delete it and keep the shape?
There are 2 ways to solve this issue: 1) Make sure "Show end result on/off toggle" is on. It is the 2nd button just below your modifier list. You can see it is on in my video. 2) Don't worry if your shape is changed from mine. Simply click on the "FFD modifier" and it will be back to the original shape. Then apply a new Edit Poly modifier. ************************ Concept: Suppose you have 5 modifiers naming 1,2,3,4,5. With 5 being the highest. if you click on modifier 3 then 3dsmax will show you the result of modifier 3 and ignore the top two modifiers 4 and 5. But if you want to work on modifier 3 and see the result of modifier 5 at the same time then you have to click on "Show end result on/off toggle"
@@SWKTutorials thanks for your fast response. Unfortunately, even with the "Show end result toggle" on, when I delete the turbosmooth modifier, the shape turns into a cilinder again. I tried clicking on the FFD Modfier again, but the object simply loses its shape for good.
zk271115@gmail.com. screen capture how you are doing at 6:45 and share the video at this address and plus send me the max file. I'll make a video tell you the solution.
There are 2 things you need to watch very carefully. 1 - Make sure your "Show end result on/off toggle" button is ON. You can see a blue icon on just below my modifier list. 2 - If you click on FFD 3*3*3 you will see the whole object. Let me know that about the issue is solved or not?
