    Really nice designs. I don't have Maya but I tested the same techniques in SelfCAD and it looks awesome. It's actually a bit easier in SelfCAD because I used the loop selection with custom pattern and that saves a lot of time selecting...

      You are right. It's slightly time consuming in Maya but it's fast in 3ds Max.
      I have also done this tutorial in 3ds Max

      @@SWKTutorials I made a video to show how it's done in SelfCAD th-cam.com/video/vOSzEDRvDZY/w-d-xo.html you're a much better designer than me but as you can see, you can do the same in SelfCAD but much faster...

      I'm not sure about blender. I'm a Maya and 3ds max user.

    hi. when you do collapse in the bottom, doesn't this solution makes problems with the shading? Thank you.

    • @SWKTutorials
      @SWKTutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem in shading.
      Can you tell me exact time you are talking?
      I will answer in more detail.

      @@SWKTutorials yes at 7:40! I say this because i thought that is better to model with quads otherwise the light makes weird things in the shading. Maybe u can give me some advice? Thank you.

    • @SWKTutorials
      @SWKTutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are 2 reasons why I didn't make it quad.
      1) this part is going to touch the floor. So it will not show in renders.
      2) on 7.30 I made an extra edge using extrude face to support shading on applying smooth. So it will appear proper in shading.
      Also note... You can delete 1 Edge and leave the other. After 7.40 collapse command. It will make it quad.

      There are many good tools and techniques to do modeling. All of them are correct. Normally students don't know about collapse. That's why I did this.
