There are many reasons for disliking a video. It's not hard to conceive if you open your mind to possibilities and look for ways that a video could be different or better. Maybe the person wanted more before/after photos. Maybe they felt the video focused too much on something, or was too long, or didn't show enough of something they wanted to see, or the creator didn't explain something or provide enough information. These may all be immaterial for you, but you are not these people. I don't conceive of a world where 100% of people agree with me, and it's really troubling how many times people leave these kind of comments. "I can't believe some people in the world disagree with me." Just say that out loud.

I did a similar job on my old house years ago, the only difference was I dug it by hand and I left it bare for 3 months and sprayed twice to kill all the weeds that grew back, it was full of prickles and burs so had to be done. I then put down compost and hand planted a buffalo lawn made from cuttings I took from my neighbours yard with their permission. After 3 years of careful tending and weeding regularly by hand it was easily the best lawn in town with zero weeds, I used to get compliments about it all the time. 10 years later and I live in a new house but my old lawn is still very impressive and Ive started to create a new one
I did something similar to my old lawn and now when i drive past the old house i feel like i'm stalking! Thinking to myself, '' I see you enjoying that beautiful lawn i put in, perhaps you could give your dog a bit of brewers yeast to rid your lawn of burn spots''.
I've always believed that hard work is its own reward, but this has taken that to a new level. Other than the videos of little guys in the Amazon building swimming pools by hand, I have never seen such labor intensive activity.
I just did a similar job in my son's yard. I did so with a rake, small pruning shears & twine. I raked the leaves & debris out of the way. I then pruned raspberry bushes gone wild & I tied them up to train them to stay up after years of being flattened & entwined in the rubble. We've had some steady rain in the days since this project was started & I'm hopeful we will have a beautiful area this summer!
Thank you for explaining why you don't need poisons and anti-weed chemicals. The consistent mowing helps control the weeds and unwanted growth. Amazing!
As the Aretha F. song goes, R E S P E C T. I have done this before and it's not easy work. However it's relaxing to watch someone else do it. Now that I'm getting older 52, I'll stick to the heavy machinery performing these back breaking task.

Thank you! This helped a lot but when you said you wasn’t worried about the roots for this project…… that’s my main issue to remove then I can do everything else you taught me. Thanks for the great details!
This is exactly what I was looking for. We have some sloped areas overrun by thistle and I want to get it into more usable shape. So many of the videos I found were about seeding lawns in subdivisions. I wasn’t sure how to go about taming the bushland. Thank you!
Brought here at 1am and love what I saw buying a few acres this week and want to level the clear area of it without heavy equipment. Loved the constant environmental consern in this video!
Brilliant! I especially love your eco-friendly efforts - you re-use materials, use the compost to fertilize nature nearby and improve animal habitats! These small consumption reductions can really help reduce the strain we are putting on our world!! Excellent! Subscribed!

Oh my god! At first I thought you were doubling your yard, but than I realized you more than TRIPPLED it! You're lucky to have all that land! Your yard looks beautiful. Makes me want to get some grass seed for all the dirt patches in my tiny front yard.

omg if I succeed in my venture to get a house in a few years this is the video I need! Though instead of grass I'll be doing a thick layer of local clover.
I used to do this every year, on my beach home. When I left after summer season and coming back the next summer season, I found the big yard almost like this, until I decided to go full into it and making it a nice carpet green grass. And plent some trees. 👊🏻😁

the grass definitely made house worth more. good job.
A lot more
He sounds like he would narrate How Its Made or a BBC documentary.
Yeah. I think he will do better narrating How Its Made
Yeah it’s really peacefull to watch. Just watched every second of the video quietly staring at my screen
I would suggest watching Lemino, he sounds similar and does some amazing videos
its the music as well
Or "How To Basic".
After watching this, I just want to drop everything I'm doing and start a landscaping business.
I love how well thought out and detailed this guy's process is. I would have simply thrown the cut brush into the garbage.

This makes me want to become a gardener - Designing and re-shaping yards is very satisfying, and you’re also able to use creativity to some extent!
