Ah, since this was the very first lap with our pretty heavy camera setup, Adrian asked Nathan to stay outside to make sure it does not fall off. Few days later, Nige crashed the Pinderwagen with our camera in it and now we're sure it can handle anything😅

Uhhh .. I'd say.. He was plastered to the back of the Ring record holding car.. Obviously traffic kept him close but that was reaaaaaally impressive!

@@MrEaston00 ya I’m under no illusion that driving it for 25 years in a video game will actually prepare me for the real track.
@@kw2519 Maybe not, but at the very least you know where the track goes. :D And after watching enough video laps, I feel like one can have a reasonable idea of the various bumps and dips and weight shift points. It's on my list too. :)
@@M3rVsT4H I promise you it doesn't (unless you have raced),the real thing is a whole different ball game. If you aren't used to lots of high speed traffic in close proximity,especially cars (all my laps have been on bikes) the first few laps are real eye openers ,in a good way.
This is the PERFECT track car. Didn’t cheap out on anything. You’d never need more than this for the ring in my humble opinion.
Except maybe airbags and latest protection for drivers.
@@ptlg138 Full blown approved roll cage/seats/harnesses/helmets is far better than air bags.
@@robertgallacher7214 I would prefer a chassis with latest standard in material engineering plus airbags, tbh.
@@ptlg138 Airbags are much too heavy for track cars and can degrade performance. Well-made rollcages can keep the cars structure from caving to the driver alongside fire suppression and harnesses, also most track cars in professional series use a HANS Device to keep the drivers head still during a high G crash which essentially acts like a airbag but is much lighter and simpler.
@@ptlg138 there is a reason why everything from Miata cup to GT3 cars don’t have them. To heavy, and it will end up compromising other areas around it.

The dynamic range on that camera makes these onboards look awesome! Sound is fantastic too.
Instant like for the owner being humble enought to mention he has not done a sub 7 yet but others have been faster with 50 hp less.
I don't think the car has 400hp, great driving tho
@@samserious1337 I think it does specially if consider the gap Gt2rs put on him with 320+hp more Ive seen over 400hp e36 all motor out there they sound and perform amazing!!

Man this driving.. Never felt so intense just watching a video. The driver is insane and how he goes/tries to go past his limits makes me super focused.

Gt2 traction out of the corners is insane. M3 sounds awesome and gives amazing corner entry speed, just need to dog leg the gearlever to put it in to a better position and its the ideal ring killer ❤👍👍👍
I rly like when at most parts of the track Misha is also using his feet like he is driving. Nice lap and sound is great gets you involved in it!

crazy how a good driver can make up all that space lost on straights with just a few corners,, and against a gt2 rs mr,, massive difference in driver skills ,, love that hes using an OG
..im just at first section and immediately I'm seeing the RS missing some lines and apexes. The proof again when you have a zillion HP and missing some lines on track, the HP's are instantly "gone" and just an "M3" is there again. and again. and again. lol love this

That man can drive, fun is NOT driving in a straight line, Porsche only gets away on the straights, in the corners it's just holding the BMW up.... epic drive!
What I recommend.... Circuit de la Sarthe (where the 24 hours Le Mans takes place)...I would like to see a lap there

beside the great performance - loved the shaking of the camera which gives more dynamics to the whole video. To many cams have too strong stability functionality which makes the videos look to smooth...
I had a e36 sedan too end of the 90‘ as an daily driver.
Ist was an 320i with Koni, Remus DTM exhaust, M kit, 235/255 P Zeros.
The rust killed the white paint und the metal underneath during the winterseasons here in Southbavaria 😢
Never experienced a more glued to the road car later on.

That was amazing racing proper e36 m3. I love this part of it I did focus on track catching up gt2. He could of past gt2.
This is such great driving, it’s nice when you can trust the driver in front.
The E36 M3 brake discs were pretty worn on the cinematic shot, had many micro cracks. But ovarall, what an amazing beast love it.

The lack of steering wheel activity speaks volumes for the car’s setup. It looks incredibly stable at speed and highly accessible. Well done to the builder.
Hats off to the BMW! Amazing set up, fantastic sound, great driving. Seems the BMW needs the extra final gear. However, as much as exciting and astonishing the BMW is, the GT2 is in another level. With no "strict" racing lines, just a push in the right pedal and takes off easily.
