Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I'm 27 and have been practicing Eckharts teachings for 5 years, one of the best parts is how I can see my interaction with my family, when your present and drop all the drama/ past, the friendship can come through, and when death arrives you can help deal with that as well. @@_itsholly Girl same here, but look, all that suffering allowed us to come look for this, and in a sense the suffering lead to something greater, anxiety is a tough one, never completely gone, for me it's mastering recovery time, like how long you feel effected after the moment, making it shorter helps. Also herbs from natural grocers, like kava, ashwagandha, and others make it so much better. I wish I could meet more peers that like this,
I think it’s pretty sad that society still treats spirituality as something unreliable and something „religious“. @@AM23. I am religious and the thing is I believe that we have to distinguish between the religion itself and the people following this path. All of them, as humans do, will have behavior not matching the ideal of the religion, including me. Yet religion is for me the pathway for spiritual awakening and growth and I believe the teachings of Eckhart are corresponding to that. Then the practices come to dis identify with the ego and become more present and live a better life, in service. So you can choose to see rules as an obstacle or the pathway (guidance) for reaching a state of awakening.
My journey of transformation started exactly one year ago. Until then, my sleep was getting worse each month and i ended up not being able to sleep more than 2 or 3 hours per night. At night, i was often walking around my city, trying to walk away the feeling of fear inside of me, while looking at the windows, where hardly any light was on. In the day i tried to do get my work done despite the immense tiredness. I started reading the power of now and immediately recognized that hostile thoughts, running around my mind, knowing: that cannot be me. bartolo mike: My aha moment was to discover that I was the owner of my mind and thoughts just as my legs being parts/organs of my body. But I was acting as if I was my mind and thoughts and they were mostly negative. It was liberating and through learning and spiritual growth I took charge and now I do know how to use my brain/mind the right way to live in the present in harmony and in peace fully, and gratefully. I owe it to Eckhart Tolle's book The Power of Now and learning more by practice to enjoy a good life adopting a good and healthy style of life. You had an amazing transformation. Congrats, friend!

I was at this talk, and one of the people who prayed for her to ask the question. The woman talking was lovely, a YOGINI> Eckhart is the REAL DEAL, I am so grateful I experienced a HUGE shift when I was there. The happiest time of my life. I just experienced a situation where someone was shouting at me very intensely, and although it made me a little sad to see them in that state, I managed for it to not affect me. I didn't react and I stayed quiet with a normal voice tone. The other person eventually also resorted to a normal tone. :/ I think it is a positive step towards this not happening so often, the calmer I would stay, the more enraged the other person was as if they wanted to take me on a rage trip with them. And when they couldn't, they stopped. But it was almost as if this 'force' wasn't even them.
Exactly ! Experienced it too not long ago, I found my self really present when that happened as I recognized the pain body that took over that person completely. Sometimes they will even tell you: "Why are you so cold !?". And I will just sit there.

It is true that, only if and when one is ready, learning and eventual growth can happen in the spiritual domain. It started with me with me when I read his book "The Power of Now". I read it several times and turned the book one the manual for life among few other books. It transformed me and it came at an important juncture of my life. I really resonated with the lady who said she went to bed with him every night! Eckhart is such a wonderfully gentle and endearing man with such a lovely sense of humour. I also understand the 'doing nothing' bit. I used to be the sort of person who always had to be 'on the go' and, yet, I was always most at peace when communing with nature. Out in the garden at dawn listening to the song of the birds. Before the rest of the world woke up - away from man's mindless chorus. Now, at 74 years old, I am content to do nothing. I feel that I am in a meditative state a lot of the time without needing to adopt the accepted posture. A lot of us go to bed with Eckhart at night 😂 And wake up to him in the morning. Thank you for this video. I'm in the stage where I've made a lot of progress but the ego says "come and suffer" and I still give into it some of the time. Much less than before. It's like an old pattern playing out and sometimes I forget that I don't have to engage with it. And sometimes it frankly does feel good, or familiar, to suffer. Which is odd, but now I can see what's happening when awareness arises again. But now it's like a ghost of suffering instead of me and bodying the suffering, and I can see that the more I refuse it, it continues to dissipate. Listening to Eckhart and other teachers each day, sometimes throughout the day, helps me create new patterns. So grateful for his teachings and all of his followers for their insight.
Awakening doesn't remove the emotions & feelings, it changes the ways they are perceived. If there is no separate self to feel them, who should get mad after all? =)
If we can go through any and all emotions towards ourselves, the 'no separate self' concept must not actually be of much value, since little has changed internally.

When I first came to that inner standing of "Do Nothing" it was first very difficult to accept fully since it was the complete opposite of the way I had lived my life previously. I have always put 110% effort into everything I encountered, or I didn't see the point in doing it. I had to come to terms that I had No Control over my awakening in the beginning, and suffering seemed meaningless. The only logical solution was to simply let go and "Do Nothing", which was rather liberating. Everyday will get easier and more delightful, if one trusts the process through ascension onto enlightenment.
What a lovely description of what many of us humans call "channeling..." Bringing through us wisdom, the 'truth' of Love/Light/Consciousness shining as us, my being a conduit, a vessel, and stirring the memory of this state in others, i.e. transforming our facility in Being Present Now. And I appreciated his sense of Presence as ever available to us, foreground, background, as our attention/focus shifts.
Wow... We can all strive to live like this...AS presence. I'm so grateful that I have achieved living longer and longer periods of my life as presence. But i do still have the pain body trying to mess with me and I feel it separate to my true presence now..so with Eckharts help I am learning so much and so fast. Thankyou for confirming my ”higher knowing” i often connect to a deeper state of consciousness when i am standing infront of my students. That is my place to be...For now My way to explain this connection i achieve with deepend consciousness is -"a connection to the universal Wi-Fi/net” my "bluetooth" is situated slightly 15-20 cm behind my head and a bit up above, "my channel tune in and the reciver is in my hearts feeling of hamony and honnest love"and the messsages/information comes to me as feelings who wants to be translatet into words. I have to "stand back within my self" to give room for this to happen. Echarts words about "being a window frame where the light shines trough" is also a confirmation of what i experience. The insanity and chaos of the world also lives within me. I am exhausted from the struggle/fight. How to shine the light of loving kindness in the middle of the madness? There is a sense of great lonliness with underlying anxiety as one tries to break free from the ego. I just experienced a situation where someone was shouting at me very intensely, and although it made me a little sad to see them in that state, I managed for it to not affect me. I didn't react and I stayed quiet with a normal voice tone. The other person eventually also resorted to a normal tone. :/ I think it is a positive step towards this not happening so often, the calmer I would stay, the more enraged the other person was as if they wanted to take me on a rage trip with them. And when they couldn't, they stopped. But it was almost as if this 'force' wasn't even them.

Exactly ! Experienced it too not long ago, I found my self really present when that happened as I recognized the pain body that took over that person completely. Sometimes they will even tell you: "Why are you so cold !?". And I will just sit there.

It is true that, only if and when one is ready, learning and eventual growth can happen in the spiritual domain. It started with me with me when I read his book "The Power of Now". I read it several times and turned the book one the manual for life among few other books. It transformed me and it came at an important juncture of my life. Without the spiritual growth that followed with other complementary books, I wouldn't be even alive! I was searching and ready to learn the knowledge and became aware and awakened. Thank you Eckhart Tolle and I owe it to you.
Eckhart, in a way, helped me in understanding the spiritual tradition, called Sanatan Dharma, followed by me and many others in India.

I really resonated with the lady who said she went to bed with him every night! Eckhart is such a wonderfully gentle and endearing man with such a lovely sense of humour.
I also understand the 'doing nothing' bit. I used to be the sort of person who always had to be 'on the go' and, yet, I was always most at peace when communing with nature. Out in the garden at dawn listening to the song of the birds. Before the rest of the world woke up - away from man's mindless chorus. Now, at 74 years old, I am content to do nothing. I feel that I am in a meditative state a lot of the time without needing to adopt the accepted posture. I remember David Icke saying, many moons ago, that he didn't meditate anymore he just sat and thought!

A lot of us go to bed with Eckhart at night 😂 And wake up to him in the morning.
Thank you for this video. I'm in the stage where I've made a lot of progress but the ego says "come and suffer" and I still give into it some of the time. Much less than before. It's like an old pattern playing out and sometimes I forget that I don't have to engage with it. And sometimes it frankly does feel good, or familiar, to suffer. Which is odd, but now I can see what's happening when awareness arises again. But now it's like a ghost of suffering instead of me and bodying the suffering, and I can see that the more I refuse it, it continues to dissipate. Listening to Eckhart and other teachers each day, sometimes throughout the day, helps me create new patterns. So grateful for his teachings and all of his followers for their insight.
Awakening doesn't remove the emotions & feelings, it changes the ways they are perceived. If there is no separate self to feel them, who should get mad after all? =)
If we can go through any and all emotions towards ourselves, the 'no separate self' concept must not actually be of much value, since little has changed internally.

When I first came to that inner standing of "Do Nothing" it was first very difficult to accept fully since it was the complete opposite of the way I had lived my life previously. I have always put 110% effort into everything I encountered, or I didn't see the point in doing it. I had to come to terms that I had No Control over my awakening in the beginning, and suffering seemed meaningless. The only logical solution was to simply let go and "Do Nothing", which was rather liberating. Everyday will get easier and more delightful, if one trusts the process through ascension onto enlightenment.

Wow... We can all strive to live like this...AS presence. I'm so grateful that I have achieved living longer and longer periods of my life as presence. But i do still have the pain body trying to mess with me and I feel it separate to my true presence now..so with Eckharts help I am learning so much and so fast. It's funny when my brain says things and I know it's my mind/thought form and not ME presence. Its a matter of habit as well..practicing staying in presence. Especially as a sensitive/empath. Thankyou for confirming my ”higher knowing” i often connect to a deeper state of consciousness when i am standing infront of my students. That is my place to be...For now
My way to explain this connection i achieve with deepend consciousness is -"a connection to the universal Wi-Fi/net” my "bluetooth" is situated slightly 15-20 cm behind my head and a bit up above, "my channel tune in and the reciver is in my hearts feeling of hamony and honnest love"and the messsages/information comes to me as feelings who wants to be translatet into words. I have to "stand back within my self" to give room for this to happen. Echarts words about "being a window frame where the light shines trough" is also a confirmation of what i experience. The insanity and chaos of the world also lives within me. I am exhausted from the struggle/fight. How to shine the light of loving kindness in the middle of the madness? There is a sense of great lonliness with underlying anxiety as one tries to break free from the ego. Tonglan - to lessen the importance of self and increase the importance of others seems the only worthy path. So hard to do, but it seems that true freedom resides in service to others. Blessings.
