@@scottlochans4180 NS400R and 2000 R6 probably the best bikes i've had. The NS eat a lot of juice though. I was always pulling into the garage at least twice/.thrice on a sunday trip to Bala in wales. You ride 600 or 1200 bandit? Nice ride.
Hello. The mods are: Mikuni TMX30 carbs, Boyesen reeds, modified stock cylinders: Larger intakte port, the lower part of the transfer ports in the crankcase are adjusted on the upper parts in the cylinders -no egdes anymore-, dividers of the transfer ports are wing-shaped, slightely raised transferport timing, modified exhaust port, shape of the powervalve is fitted on the shape of the exhaust port. Welded stock crankshaft, head changed from standart gasket to O-rings, combustion chamber CNC-modified, squish-gap 0.8mm, primary drive with straight-cut teeth, modified wiseco pistons, exhausts from DN-Performance, programmable ignition- and powervalve-timing from zeeltronic, modified airbox.
Yeah, it works great. The size of the piston-windows (to the intake port and as well to the transfer ports) has a big effect on the flow of this high-rev engine. And the DN-Performance pipes were a big step forwards in torque and powerband, compared with the previously mounted JL-exhausts. I got an other (nude) 350YPVS with 58mm crankshaft, much higher transferport-timing, an extreme flow-optimated engine (nearly everything`s rounded), stock carbs of the 31K-model and stock 1WW-expaust pipes. It´s my 2T-bike for the longer tours. Although the stock-pipes limit rev at 9200 RPM, it only loses 0.5 seconds from 0 to 140Km/h on the high-rev 350YPVS. It has got a lot of torque in the lower revs and in the mid, more a beefy character. The only problem of this characteristics is the tendency to raise it`s frontwheel at early 5000-6000 RPM when you are driving a winding mountain-road upways and you rev up at the exit of a steep corner. Compared with the stock-pipes the DN-pipe`s powerband is more extended to the upper range with less torque in the mid and so the tendency for wheelies is not so strong at my high-rev 350YPVS. But the DN has more torque in the lower regions than the JL-exhausts.
Kicking its backside, nice, half way to the red-line in at 12,000 RPM on my '05 650 BANDIT, close to 85 mph, 2nd gear, before the red-line,, its su h a joy to ride, as would, A RD 250,350,500 LC.
Ridden many a modern 4 stroke sport bikes but not one was as fun as a 2 stroke and the power band hits. Disclosure, I have not ridden h2 super charged missile so maybe it is as fun. Rz 350 is a gas, would kill to ride rz 500 or gamma 500 with jetting and pipes. Now that would be awesome. Hate 2 strokes died out. My dream bike is modern ninja 300 with kx500 single dirt bike motor. Power and light with modern tires suspension and brakes. To 100mph would smoke.most later bikes and.out carve them all.

@@georgecunningham7916 No, not exactly the same: The speedo at the RD 500 LC goes up to 250 Km/h. But the rev counter, temp gauge and control lights are identical.

Are you sure this looks like a rd500 dash?
No, not RD500LC. This bike is a RD350F (YPVS) from 1989 and the dash is stock.
