    I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

      I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

      Nah I Can't say I can relate, Victoria Carmen Santaella charge is one-off and pretty reasonable when compared to what I benefit in returns.

    I'm starting to think about retirement living options, but I'm a bit worried about the costs. I've heard that some retirement communities can be quite expensive, and I'm not sure how I'll afford to live comfortably while also generating some income.

      @V.stones 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's a common concern. Retirement living costs can vary significantly depending on the type of community and the level of care provided. You need to consider factors like entry fees, monthly maintenance charges, and potential healthcare expenses.

      I learned a valuable lesson when I chose my retirement community. I initially focused on the amenities, but I soon realized that the financial aspects were equally important. I chose a community with a strong financial plan, a well-maintained infrastructure, and opportunities to generate income.

      Thanks for sharing your insights! I've been researching different communities, but I'm feeling overwhelmed by the choices. Do you have any recommendations for finding a reputable and financially sound retirement community?

      My financial advisor, a highly regarded CFA named Peter Dewitt Martin, specializes in retirement planning and has extensive knowledge of retirement communities. He can help you analyze your financial situation, explore different living options, and develop a plan to ensure your financial security in retirement. I highly recommend contacting him for a consultation.

    I just ran across this video during my research on the Ocala, Florida area and what might be in my future. A original east girl gal, I currently live in eastern Oregon, and have roots here. My husband recently passed and my family would like to see me back east. I not sure it’s a fit for me (I’m 73) My son lives in and has a business in Ocala, and I have visited there and been to the Villages. I’m pretty active but beat to my own drum. I’m glad to see some information on other 55 plus communities and what they offer. Thank you because a lot of us have different lifestyles and moving is a huge change. I’ve also visited Ocala Preserve (the Salted Brick restaurant) and was impressed but here again, not sure it’s for me. would love to see more of different communities and also how hard it is to get medical care for newcomers.

    THANK YOU for this video! I subscribed!
    We’re looking for a community that will allow us to have our 4 dogs, maybe a pool and some stores nearby.
    Because the villages has a rule of “only two dogs allowed, per home” we don’t qualify there. And we aren’t about to get rid of our babies.
    What communities might fit us around Central Florida? My wife wants to be in central Florida, away from the devastation of hurricanes if possible.

    If you don't play golf you can quickly become an outsider.

    • @billredding2000
      @billredding2000 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don't have to do anything living in The Villages -- even golf -- but if someone is that weak (emotionally/mentally) that being an "outsider" (even if it were true -- it's not) is a typical problem, then I'm guessing other things would bother them about TV as well, so yeah, in that case TV probably isn't for them. Frankly, you can do whatever you want activities-wise: Be active and get involved in lots of clubs/activities, or, stay more to yourself (live a private life and/or with just a few new friends/neighbors) and do pretty much nothing at all. It's up to you what level of "involvement" you do or don't want and MOST Villagers will respect that.
      As for the ones who won't, who needs to be around people with that attitude anyway? But isn't that much the same everywhere one lives?
      As for me, if I were to move there, my biggest dilemma would be do I get a golf-car or just use my truck? Seriously though, I DO have some other concerns, but aside from living somewhere that doesn't have 4-seasons, I wouldn't feel like I HAD to do this or that -- or behave a certain way as a Villages resident. And I'm already fairly well civilized, considerate & friendly, so at least that's covered when it comes to being a Good Neighbor...but my sense of "fashion" might be a tad dated.

      BTW, the amenity fee is close to $200/mo now (meaning 17 months later after this video was posted). But for all you get it seems pretty reasonable. IMO...
