***I have done a lot more testing today and there is something I want to add onto this video. If you want to get the most out of the Archetypal ring, you will have to go into the squad battles in order to receive the bonus. Its a small percentage so at the end of the day unless your trying to squeeze every bit of A-exp in each battle you can skip out on it completely. However if you actually jump into a lot of the fights with the stronger enemies that are also in the same dungeon you will see benefits to having it, especially if there isn't a better accessory in your inventory. I also tested on member in and outside of the party and this applies so you can have members who are not a member of the active team farming A-exp for you in squad battles.
@MSenseiHD For the bigger enemies I completely agree, but with smaller ones is it worth the extra time?, and since you are testing, only the people with the ring equipped gest the bonus?, or do you need only MC with it?
the fastest mp regen imo is by using shield blessing passives and battle the monster then run, u can get 10 mp by that, just equip that has skill rakukaja or something.
my mc just unlocked soul hacker then i use it with shield blessing (wizard 11) and revitalise 3 (paladin 20), now my mc have infinite mp glitch lol. I just spam trial of the seeker on every mob i see lol. i'm gonna grind more and give my mc Gift mp (trickster 5?) so he can channel his mp to everyone though for even more mp lol.
In the Coliseum if you complete Bronze Ranked Stage, you get a hand armor that gives Luck +10, Archetypal Exp x 1.5. So combo this armor and the Archetypal Ring.
Just as a side note, it takes 12520 A-exp to max out a base tier Archetype, 29738 A-exp to max out an adept tier Archetype, 42293 A-exp to max out an elite tier Archetype, and 74014 A-exp to max out the "unique" archetypes of each character.
Thatsssssss insane the unique archetypes are way too expensive in my opinion but hey I guess these were meant to grind in a NG+ run or something not sure because I haven’t gotten that far yet
@@MSenseiHD Yeah, if you don't have a good place to grind and patience, maxing them out is a pain. I managed them all on my first playthrough, but not sure I'd recommend it.

@@MSenseiHD The worst part about it? The intermediate classes are worse at rank 1 than the maxed out base classes, and they're just barely better when maxed out. So you start out weaker than you were before.
Another really good farm spot is only available after 9/26 (they also give good money as well): You unlock a dungeon called Disgraced Ruins to the north of Grand Trad when you accept a certain Bounty. Near the boss room are two mimics that respawn which can drop the Root version. Run over to kill them in the overworld or if you can’t, stun them, enter the fight and flee, after run to Plateau to enter Akademia return and repeat. It should take around 35 seconds if you can kill them in the overworld to do one run. To maximise chances, make sure the MC is on Ninja as it can increase the drop rate from a max of 2 to 4. Make sure to go when the weathers bad to increase Aexp and if your not super high level (I’d say above 75) it’s also very good for farming Hero’s Leaf of Light as roughly 3 runs should get a fully mastered archetype one level. The biggest bottleneck will be running out of Magla

Yes you need courage for the later ranks but just to unlock her at the beginning of the game you only need wisdom lvl 2. I have a full video dedicated to the merchant talking about her in more details which is why I was brief here.
Just a heads up, archetypal ring doesn’t stack by giving it to multiple characters. Also, it only works by equipping it on the main character. It also doesn’t work on overworld A-exp only for squad battles.
That's not actually true. The Archetypal Ring doesn't stack with Fortune's Grasp, but having either on each character is a good idea. I've tested it, believe it or not. The victory screen lists the A-exp that the MC earns, not the rest of the party, though it's usually the same. If he has the ring or gloves equipped, he'll get 1.5 times the A-exp that the rest of the party does. If they all have one of the two equipped, they will also get that amount. If you want to test it, it's pretty easy. You just have to note the A-exp needed in the Archetype details before and after a battle, along with the victory screen. Do it with and without the ring equipped and you'll see. You're 100% correct on the overworld part though.

Thank you for sharing, I think they all will. I just use the lower tiers because I think they take less time to level or at least in theory I think they should compare to a tier three archetype like paladin. That thing takes so much experience to level to max it’s actually surprising
@MSenseiHD oh for sure getting a tier 1 archetype to master out of the gate is much faster, but if you're using your hero leafs to go from zero to master in an advanced archetype, then you're still using a mastered archetype. There is so much in here that is good, thank you for this video!
The spire of blind faith has a really good farming spot! Go all the way to the top and kill all of the skeletons (they drop guilded cutlery to sell ) and then once all dead ,go to the save cat and go to Akademia then exit and the respawn the enemies . U get 22k per run plus goodies , plus heroes of light
I get 30k from spire I already know about it and have a video up but thank you! I appreciate everyone coming through and giving good info there’s an even better farm but it’s super late game and I don’t know if I want to cover it or not with two large mimics

The explanatory is a bit scuffed, you don't us dark Knight not because of the amount of xp you need, because that is the same no matter what 1000xp for master level up and a leaf gives you 1000 but because it doesn't have a protagonist passive that would give you additional benefits like alchemy for merchant for the big bucks... or am i misunderstanding something? If it was just the do you could straight up do it with every archetype since you get the same amount from leaf as if your leveling them normally
No that’s not what I meant. So what I was trying to explain was you never want to level up an archetype naturally. Is the way I think I should have put it. Meaning you are the dark knight and you are grinding each rank. A single rank for a unique archetype takes a lot of experience to Rank up. So it’s a lot faster to use a tier one archetype get it to master, farm the hero leaf of lights and use those to level up archetypes in the game. That’s the whole point of the video. Difficulty to explain to be honest but yeah. I don’t think a lot of y’all know because your new but… I’m from Japan 😅 I don’t English irl😂 only on TH-cam but that’s my own personal problem. I’ll get better at explain things because I want my videos to be clear and help everyone. So it’s something I’m working on.
I just started playing and tend to actually be somewhat overpowered when I play through my RPGs, how early can you technically do this? (as in, have access to the ring and both followers?) Thanks for a great guide!
Well the ring is only gonna benefit you if you do squad battles and you will receive the ring at the 3rd main city of the game. As for getting overpowered or leveling early it depends on how much grinding you want to do in the early dungeons. Great areas you might want to farm exp at are gonna be, tradia desert for the bounty, imps den another bounty, the tower in brilehaven has two red crystals that are close together for farming. But most of the main dungeons have pretty good farming spots in them. Take the time out to relax and farm up a bit whenever you see the opportunity in my opinion so you can enjoy the game most at your own pace. Hope that helps? Let me know if you have more questions

Imp den is just amazing farming in general doesn’t need crystal The second city main story dungeon when you go under the castle there is a perfect spot. there is a bridge with a crystal on either side. I actually buy everything and use a variety of items just for role playing fun and learning purposes so for me there’s still value but if your going for the best items only yeah I can see your point. I enjoy stocking up on money. Hopefully there is another 700k almighty igniter in ng+ so I can stack up on those for no reason😅
Got a question for anyone who might know. I just got the Archetypal Ring(s) and finally got to a dungeon to test them out on and decided to make sure they were working and yeah… they’re not working. Not in squad battle or over world(which I didn’t think works anyway) But I tested it on 4 different guys/fights and the 2 that have it got the exact same as the two that don’t. Any ideas? Super bummed and confused.
the archetypal ring does not work on overworked fights. It does work for squad battles and for member in and outside of your party I will continue to test and show results. if something changes I will let you know
I’m not 100% sure I have always had it so I wouldn’t be able to tell you and I’m not about to play the game without Maria to find out😅😅 she is too good for me to ignore plus I like her story. You could actually jump into a fight with all of your enemies and the post battle experience should be higher but that’s just time consuming. Good question tho.
OK let me clarify something. So i am using KNIGHT, it takes to level up at MAX 1000 AXP it turns into hero leaf light which gives 1000 AXP... so why not just run the PALADIN and level that up. Why? would you do extra work of moving the XP from farming to hero leaf light item. To suing the item to new archtepy.. There is no new XP earned, or new lost? its 0-0 sum game. Only thing you do is more work for your self from having to use the item from menus. Execption here being the merchant and tycoon who give MONEY when killing in overwords battle. Am i wrong? seems kinda useless help? unless you run merchant? edit: figured out, its about focusing the AXP...
It's essentailly the same amount of exp. Even the higher archetypes only require 1000 exp to lvl up once mastered. The up side is that you'll be able to redirect all that exp to the single archetype you wanna level up afterwards. But yeah, time-wise, if your aim is to master every single archetype in the game, it's going to be the same
that 1000 axp from the leaf can be used on any archetype, so it's more versatile, i think that's the point. and about the time waste on menu, you will lose just some seconds
i understood it as, some classes level up in under 1000AXP, once those are mastered, you'll basically get a 1000AXP item, after only gaining lets say 800AXP. & you'll earn a shit ton of money if you personally use the merchant. But that may be incorrect.
If you're just playing and levelling normally then you're right it's a waste of time. The value is that you can use those items to focus axp onto a single person, effectively giving them four times the axp gain. So if you realize you need a specific skill at a specific time, this lets you farm the axp needed much faster. Or if you've stored up these items, the moment you unlock a new archetype you're immediately going to get it to 20 on someone you want it on (and keep in mind mastering an archetype gives that character a permanent stat boost).
@@awc_0236using the merchant maxed out your right you get money items and the leaf .. so you gain more then trying to level up a archetype. Merchants give so many bonus!!! Yesterday I went from 40-60 easily and then I maxed out my protagonists archetypes so far… and I am doing the same with the other characters for now. I am in the Spyral temple next to the dragon temple I am loving it

I was really more concerned about the story spoilers but great point. I should have covered that up too. I was trying to be very careful when navigating through menus and everything when editing. Crystals aren't the best way to grind. It's so much slower than just running through a forest area like the snow forest. Or running through the Spire of Faith or Tower of Insolence and just going into Academia or main entrance to respawn the mobs. You YT'ers stuck on them crystals and it's just such a trash way of grinding. Everything else is solid tho. But I'd recommend Thief lineage over Merchant. Merchant is cool to grind money but once you in the millions Assassin is better. You get way more items like the magla pills or sellable items or appraisal items. At one point I had 99 magla pills, accessory items and hero's leaf of light. Burned the leaves and got another stack of 99 in just one hour. Crystals ain't giving that kind of return on investment cause they spawn such weak mobs.
I have no idea what other TH-camrs may be posting about because I play all of my games on my own at my own pace. However all my videos are my personal experience and how I grind in the game. I already have a video on the channel explaining everything about the imps den, the tradia desert and other amazing farming spots. This video was all about grinding for hero leaf of light. If you have a better strategy then feel free to share it with the community because it helps everyone.
@@MSenseiHD the ice forest is a better mid game spot to grind. Arguably, I'd wait til you unluck that to grind at all. However the Spire of Faith or Tower of Insolence are also good grinding spots. But if you go for the tower of Insolence I'd recommend farming it before the sky turns red vs after. Otherwise you'll need to be a MUCH higher level. Tower of Insolence basically is full of sub bosses but as regular mobs. And the ice forest has the tree monsters that drop a lot of a-exp and mag per kill. Merchant is okay if you really need or want the money. But once you get like $500k I'd switch to Thief/Assassin/Ninja for items while grinding. Items like magla pills or medicine, sellable items, rare equipment drops, elemental atk. They'll come in clutch for when you can't beat mobs in the overworld. And you'll still get money either way. Masked Dancer archetype is better than mage because it's recovers both HP and MP when you defeat mobs in the overwatch. But it restores a LOT of health per kill for whatever reason. And the overworld hit it does hits mob extremely hard as well. Once you get María to rank 7 it really won't matter what you do because her rank 7 passive is just that good. I'd recommend getting her leveled up over other followers first. Plus Healer is actually a pretty busted class and makes all the difference for later game fights. At least having access to the skills anyway

You should also mention on bad weather days you get an increase to xp earned, plus there is a thief passive that increases drops on all kills.

Late game? So these monsters are in a specific dungeon that I need to get to? I'm gonna be on the look out thanks a lot. When you say late game what month is it for you?
@@MSenseiHD it's in the Disgraced Ruins which I believe is after the Dragon Temple. I haven't quite made it to it yet myself
Money is useless at the halfway point of the game imo especially as by that point you would of unlocked the thief tree and got the skill lucky find.
I actually buy everything and use a variety of items just for role playing fun and learning purposes so for me there’s still value but if your going for the best items only yeah I can see your point.
I enjoy stocking up on money. Hopefully there is another 700k almighty igniter in ng+ so I can stack up on those for no reason😅
Got a question for anyone who might know.
I just got the Archetypal Ring(s) and finally got to a dungeon to test them out on and decided to make sure they were working and yeah… they’re not working. Not in squad battle or over world(which I didn’t think works anyway)
But I tested it on 4 different guys/fights and the 2 that have it got the exact same as the two that don’t.
Any ideas? Super bummed and confused.
I’m actually testing this right now I’ll will do a couple of farming strategy’s and get back to you
the archetypal ring does not work on overworked fights. It does work for squad battles and for member in and outside of your party I will continue to test and show results. if something changes I will let you know
Does purpose work on overworld mobs?
I’m not 100% sure I have always had it so I wouldn’t be able to tell you and I’m not about to play the game without Maria to find out😅😅 she is too good for me to ignore plus I like her story. You could actually jump into a fight with all of your enemies and the post battle experience should be higher but that’s just time consuming. Good question tho.
OK let me clarify something.
So i am using KNIGHT, it takes to level up at MAX 1000 AXP it turns into hero leaf light which gives 1000 AXP... so why not just run the PALADIN and level that up. Why? would you do extra work of moving the XP from farming to hero leaf light item. To suing the item to new archtepy..
There is no new XP earned, or new lost? its 0-0 sum game. Only thing you do is more work for your self from having to use the item from menus.
Execption here being the merchant and tycoon who give MONEY when killing in overwords battle.
Am i wrong? seems kinda useless help? unless you run merchant?
edit: figured out, its about focusing the AXP...
It's essentailly the same amount of exp. Even the higher archetypes only require 1000 exp to lvl up once mastered. The up side is that you'll be able to redirect all that exp to the single archetype you wanna level up afterwards. But yeah, time-wise, if your aim is to master every single archetype in the game, it's going to be the same
that 1000 axp from the leaf can be used on any archetype, so it's more versatile, i think that's the point.
and about the time waste on menu, you will lose just some seconds
i understood it as, some classes level up in under 1000AXP, once those are mastered, you'll basically get a 1000AXP item, after only gaining lets say 800AXP. & you'll earn a shit ton of money if you personally use the merchant. But that may be incorrect.
If you're just playing and levelling normally then you're right it's a waste of time.
The value is that you can use those items to focus axp onto a single person, effectively giving them four times the axp gain. So if you realize you need a specific skill at a specific time, this lets you farm the axp needed much faster. Or if you've stored up these items, the moment you unlock a new archetype you're immediately going to get it to 20 on someone you want it on (and keep in mind mastering an archetype gives that character a permanent stat boost).
@@awc_0236using the merchant maxed out your right you get money items and the leaf .. so you gain more then trying to level up a archetype. Merchants give so many bonus!!! Yesterday I went from 40-60 easily and then I maxed out my protagonists archetypes so far… and I am doing the same with the other characters for now. I am in the Spyral temple next to the dragon temple I am loving it
Dont forget you need at least Lv3 Courage to unlock the rest of black woman's hangouts (forgot her name)

I should have covered that up too. I was trying to be very careful when navigating through menus and everything when editing. Missed that. I’ll just have to mention that moving forward because a lot of the best information I have to share is gonna be reveal a lot of the new party members 😭
@@MSenseiHD ngl yeah, I was a bit peeved when I saw Junnah in the party bc I just made it to brilehaven after you said there was no spoilers. But the info was good tho.
Crystals aren't the best way to grind. It's so much slower than just running through a forest area like the snow forest. Or running through the Spire of Faith or Tower of Insolence and just going into Academia or main entrance to respawn the mobs. You YT'ers stuck on them crystals and it's just such a trash way of grinding.
Everything else is solid tho. But I'd recommend Thief lineage over Merchant. Merchant is cool to grind money but once you in the millions Assassin is better. You get way more items like the magla pills or sellable items or appraisal items. At one point I had 99 magla pills, accessory items and hero's leaf of light. Burned the leaves and got another stack of 99 in just one hour. Crystals ain't giving that kind of return on investment cause they spawn such weak mobs.
I have no idea what other TH-camrs may be posting about because I play all of my games on my own at my own pace. However all my videos are my personal experience and how I grind in the game.
I already have a video on the channel explaining everything about the imps den, the tradia desert and other amazing farming spots.
This video was all about grinding for hero leaf of light. If you have a better strategy then feel free to share it with the community because it helps everyone.
@@MSenseiHD the ice forest is a better mid game spot to grind. Arguably, I'd wait til you unluck that to grind at all. However the Spire of Faith or Tower of Insolence are also good grinding spots. But if you go for the tower of Insolence I'd recommend farming it before the sky turns red vs after. Otherwise you'll need to be a MUCH higher level. Tower of Insolence basically is full of sub bosses but as regular mobs. And the ice forest has the tree monsters that drop a lot of a-exp and mag per kill.
Merchant is okay if you really need or want the money. But once you get like $500k I'd switch to Thief/Assassin/Ninja for items while grinding. Items like magla pills or medicine, sellable items, rare equipment drops, elemental atk. They'll come in clutch for when you can't beat mobs in the overworld. And you'll still get money either way.
Masked Dancer archetype is better than mage because it's recovers both HP and MP when you defeat mobs in the overwatch. But it restores a LOT of health per kill for whatever reason. And the overworld hit it does hits mob extremely hard as well.
Once you get María to rank 7 it really won't matter what you do because her rank 7 passive is just that good. I'd recommend getting her leveled up over other followers first. Plus Healer is actually a pretty busted class and makes all the difference for later game fights. At least having access to the skills anyway
Lets not forget the item you get that gives you 1000 archetype exp

Another thing is if u max your archtype level if u keep leveling up, the u get a hero consumable which will further help level up your archtype.
