I mean, my father is far from a god & like Percy, my father wasn't there for my mother and me. I didn't only grow up bitter because of it, I grew up angry towards him, so it's much easier for me to get Percy's behavior/feelings or Luke's... or every demigod especially when they see from the point of knowing a God can visit them and say HI to their children if they also come down to... you know, sex (🤔😅). Like literally they bend every rule made by Zeus, saying "hello" a couple of times per year isn't that difficult.
I think its gonna be really interesting... Percy also really disliking the treatment from the gods but choosing not to go down the same path as Luke. It also is setting up even more for Percy's choice at the end of the last book.
@@ILoveManCity.No I get your circumstances and Luke’s but in the books Percy WASN’T completely like that in book 1. Notably at the end of this episode in book one he asks his dad for help. Not a kid who would lash out on purpose at his uncle and aunt and cousin or dictate how the gods should act. Sure it makes sense for some (it’s not how I act. That’s irrelevant here). It also makes for a more drama centric arc. But I didn’t read him this way AT ALL, and I read the books a lot so it’s been taking me a while to get used to. It is Percy's understanding of Luke's reasons that make him force the gods to claim their kids and do the bare minimum which is to notice them at least once.
