ik I'm asking this after a long time after this video is posted.. now, what if we use a pre preg instead of the fiber tape and resin? do we still need to put more resin on top or simply put the pre-preg on the mould and vaccum bag it??

Can we use woven roving with epoxy?

      Hi,
Yes, you can use epoxy with woven roving. It is thicker and more dense that the fabric I use in the video, so it is more effort to wet out and uses more epoxy than than fabric. Chopped Strand Mat is the kind of fiberglass that typically does not work with epoxy.

Expect to go through GALLON after GALLON if you use 24oz woven.

You should place your resin down first. Even when I've saturated the first layer of cloth, I've had pockets of air.

Thats just bad method...the better way would b to have ur layout mold be solid, not a bent sheet...then after u lay down all the epoxy, u use stretch plastic to put HEAVY pressure on the cloth, so any air bubbles and excess epoxy get pushed out, epoxy is just glue, its the fiber doing the work, u want as little epoxy involved as possible!

Tie your hands 🙌 so they don’t move so much.
