The idea of Megaman 11's adopting the look of the Robot Master plus the power gear was something I didn't like but eventually grew up on me. Love the designs here plus the power gear shots, truly resembles the MMX1 charged shots.
Haven't watched the video yet. Here's my approach to Mega Man 1 + P.U. weapons. Rolling Cutter Normal: Work as in original, however, without an arc. Charged: Faster and it homes. Super Arm (Will change to spawn a Small Block if there's no Blocks) Normal, while no blocks: Throws a Random Block at an arc. Charged: Spawns a larger block with less curve Normal, while standing next to block: Pick it up Charged: Punch it to destroy it. Which sends 4 different fragments in different directions Normal, while holding a Block: Throws it as normal Charged: Punch in the air to make fragments which damage all enemies on the screen Ice Slasher Normal: Works as normal Charged: Fires more and master Hyper Bomb Normal: Work the same as in P.U. Charged: Fires a Bigger Bomb Fire Storm Normal: Fires one small fire ball Charged: Same as the normal Fire Storm, but the fireball shot is larger Thunder Beam Normal: Fires one Thunder Beam Charged: Work as normal Time Slow Normal: Fires time arrows Charged: Slows down time Oil Slider Normal: Fires on small blob of Oil Charged: Fires a larger blob of Oil+ can ride it.
Ah yes, I remember you teased this a few months back. I can see why it took a minute, all the spritework is so sugoi! And the suits were also more carefully designed rather than just changing the head and buster. (Also side note, I genuinely really wish we had the PU Hyper bomb in megamaker, I will never use the current one since it might as well be a screen nuke) some of my favorite sprite work in this video has to be the stages and environments megaman is in as he uses these weapons, idk why, the color combos of black and darker hued colors just fits. Also one last thing I would love to somehow contribute to future installments w my art even if it's not pixelated bc I only know 2D stuff lmao. But I'd love to help-

It could be used well actually, you can't know, which is why I like those hypothetical ideas and try to imagine them in action

This is a nice video, but I think that some of the weapon redesigns are a little bit too... complicated I guess? Such as the elec beam. The fire storm power gear seems very situational.
The redesign of thunder beam was to mainly nerf how stupidly it does damage with less to no effort, it still does good damage regardless. And the PG of Fire Storm is situational yeah, but does the job well. I think, not every weapon should be automatically universal, which adds a little to the quirkness
