@Emmanuel Mensah simply don't upgrade. They aren't forcing anyone. I have an S20 Ultra but doesn't mean I would upgrade to the Note 20 Ultra just for the matte finish and better autofocus and adaptive refresh rate.

YogatamaMV I have an S7. Highly encourage you to get it. But if you don't like using cases much, you might want to choose the silver version. Scratches are really noticeable

I just bought a new coral blue S7 Edge. I'm perfectly happy with it's size, features and performance. The fact that it was only $300 makes the whole thing all that much better.

BlackBullPistol S9/S9+ have automatic motion prediction which makes it infinitely more usable than hit-or-miss solution found on XZ Premium (though I'm expecting the new XZ2 family to have the same feature, with higher resolution).
yes I also excpect from Sony to upgrade it a lil bit, for the automatic motion prediction I would say we will see if it is any good at all ;-)
Yes Amoleds are good but so are also new lcd's, I've had Galaxy flagships and they are realy good phones on the other hand I've also had Xperia flagships and must say those are pretty much the same if not better, more reliable :-) the sound over aux is bad on Xperia devices, that could be better...

Looks good (that is to say, it looks like an S8) but while the upgrades are mighty tempting, I'm just gonna stick with my Note8. It's still very capable.

Good video. I have the S9 plus model and really like it. Can you please do a full video just on Dex pad like you did with Dex dock a year ago.
I like the idea of Dex and want to know if it's going to suit me for light home use. I would mainly use it for web surfing and Microsoft office/365 software. It will be interesting to find out how much the 6Gig of ram could handle on dex.

I'm just saying how demise & decline of NOKIA took backwards our technology by a decade
We could have had more such cameras before only if Nokia accepted Android
The mechanical aperture is a big deal to me. Other than that, it seems to be more of the same. It feels like Apple and Samsung are always competing over who can add the most features and refinements to their cameras. I guess it's a win-win for consumers, but it doesn't seem like these products are going to persuade anyone to buy a competitor's product. I mean, if you dig the new camera on the S9, the next iPhone will undoubtedly have one, and the opposite is true too, so why bother switching if you're happy with the ecosystem of which you're already a part?
We've got so many of these devices which feel so similar to each other that buying a competing product in a different ecosystem than you're used to seems pointless right now.

.@1:20 the pixels per inch are flip flopped. you got it backwards. the s9 plus has to have lower ppi because of its larger screen.
Very good improvement. The dual speakers were way over due.

I hated my Galaxy s6 so upgraded to an S7 a year ago because the design wasn’t different from the previous model and the S6’s problems were ironed out. That’s what I notice, wait until the phone after the trailblazing first design iteration. For example, buy an iPhone 8 not the 7, buy a 6S not a 6, S9 not the S8, and S7 not S6. Just my theory. It could be completely wrong for all I know.

can't say about the rear camera but any decent smartphone beats the crap out of V30's poor-ass front camera

I have the S6 so this is a great upgrade for me! If only I didn't have a crack I could trade it into Samsung, but now I have to sell on ebay/letgo or something lol
Now this will be a better option than Sony RX100IV or even the V one, considering the price, at least for me. 4K, check, 960fps slowmo, check. It's ridiculous comparing a phone to a compact camera, I know.

Small upgrades. If u have s8, don't change it. Only camera is "reimagined" and u can wait till price drop to get that If u really think that ia what u need.

Hello Mr Mobile fantastic video as always I saw you in the Marques video props to you dude.
Gonna trade my Pixel 2 for one. I've gone through 3 Pixel 2 with horrible display issues. Samsung is clearly keeping all the best display for themselves. The other main reason I wanted Pixel 2 was the stereo speakers. Samsung got that and looks to have done it better (much smaller top and bottom bezels). Other Samsung only features I've missed since switching to Pixel. Also really really miss the headphone jack. Adapter is fine but super annoying physically.

Really?.. it's been almost a year....you reviewers still are complaining about bixby?...the bixby button is very distinguishable from the volume rocker... it's much smaller than the volume buttons ...i mean...do you people have really small hands that have even more smaller fingers?....i dont know how you people keep "accidentally keep hitting the bixby button instead of the volume.....

With Dolby FAKE sorrund, than you very much... Surround sounds MUST have all physical channels to be real surround sound. Simulated surround sounds shit and messes with the sound too much.

With the (long awaited) dual speakers, this is the first Samsung phone I would ever consider buying. Took 'em long enough! Hope they sound good. And props for keeping the headphone jack! Thank you, Samsung, for NOT following Apple off a cliff! I'm actually getting a little EXCITED over here! 😉
I'm massively excited and somehow dissappointed at the same time. The camera, stereo speakers, water-resistence and headphone jack sound like an amazing full package. Feature fragmentation sucks (S9+ is too large for my taste) and why is there space for a useless Bixby buttom, but no camera shutter buttom?? Ugh
Like soooo many others on here, I chose to watch your video instead of all the rest (on my Pixel XL 2 with Front Facing Stereo Speakers). I'm not a hater though, just really happy with my Pixel. After all if you're spending around $1000.00 on a phone you should buy the one that suits you.
@1:12 if Samsung ever aligns all those ports and holes to some symmetry ... only then I will consider Samsung phone to be worth anything. This is pure ignorance. Smartphones sales is going down since last year. Its come to a point that smartphone technology advancement has reached the peak. We have experienced the same for PC. Remember in the 90s when we changed CPU / VGA card in our PC every year or two ? S8 and S9 has very little difference to justify an upgrade. Manufacturers have to come up with new things very soon.
Samsung finally did something with the Harman-Kardon/AKG acquisition in late 2016... Although it's more like the configuration on the HTC models after the 10, and all iPhones after the 7, at least there's stereo - sort of... I kind of was expecting something totally front facing like the Pixel 2/2XL, the Moto X Pure from 3 years ago, or even old HTC BoomSound, but this 2-way single speaker (Excuse me, "2-way individually amplified hi-fi speaker system") seems to be becoming the trend (Thanks a lot for starting this one, HTC)... Nice improved camera features on the S9, and the carry-over from the Note 8 on the S9+... Agreed, there is still a lot of "Krufft and Nonsense" on this year's versions, just like last year's S8s, but this is Samsungland, and after all, everyone flocks to get the same thing as their neighbors - unless their neighbor is a long-standing iPhone user!
Samsung needs to either get rid of or completely overhaul TouchWiz. They should keep the apps that Google already includes in Android, but also add other Samsung exclusive apps. Also, they should put the IR blaster back.
Battery swalling chipset and no huge battery? C'mon samsung. Although i'd probably only buy one if it was an active. (Rubber back, recessed screen etc) but actives don't break which is why they don't push them.
YOU CAN DISABLE THE BIXBY BUTTON, NOOB (and yes, you don't need to install a third party app). Its obvious that you need some long-term "BIXBY Button" user to comment on the BIXBY button. Plus you not really mention a the reward programs Samsung is offering to the Bixby users.
My Galaxy 8plus totally sucks for 2 reasons. You need special chargers. unlike other phone that you can grab any old usb laying around and use it. Even with its special chargers it does not charge all the time. I took it back to Verizon. They insisted on giving me a reconditioned phone not a new one, even though I had a protection plan and it was under warrenty. Oh and guess what that phone still had the same issue. Oh and Bixby sucks. They have Cortana but it does not have the full functions, darn I miss Cortana. So when they offer this new S9, I say pass. oh and also pass on Verizon to.
The super slow motion feature by Samsung is late to the party since it's only at 720p resolution while the new XZ 2 now can handle 1080p. Sony finally sold the sensor and tech to Samsung. Is that feature only available on the S9 plus by the way? that's crap if it is.
I'll give Samsung credit with their latest couple of phones. Almost making me wanna switch from iOS to Android. It is just the software which drives me nuts with almost all Android phones. Especially Samsung, have seen my friend's Samsung phone that is just over a year old and it lags like no other.
1:43 Ah yes. As nice as the DeX Station is (but I got mine when I pre-ordered my Note 8 in Singapore), the inaccessible audio jack prompted me to get a HDMI audio extractor, then I found that DeX would only run at 1920×1080, and my monitor I had would only run at 1680×1050, so I bought a new monitor that had better speakers than the old monitor. Oh yeah, and the fact that the DeX Station didn't really work without removing certain 3rd party cases, such as the Spigen "Ultra Hybrid" that I had on mine, prompted me to get a USB 3.1 extender.
They did already moved the fingerprint sensor down on the A8/A8+ ... thought they would have done the same by removing the Bixby button. I hope the Dual SIM feature isn't a hybrid SIM/microSD, but follow suit like the A8/A8+ of having 3 slots for 2 SIMs + 1 microSD.
Currently watching this on my galaxy s8 plus. I have no intention of upgrading to the s9. The upgrades to me are too minor to justify upgrading. I'm gonna hold off until the s10 or whatever Samsung decides to call it.

I tried to switch to the S8 but the fingerprint scanner on the back drove me back to the S7.
The scanner on the back requires me to change how I hold my phone, into something I find uncomfortable. Face unlock required near perfect lighting and retina scanning had me open my eyes to a deer in the headlights look, fine at home but a bit silly when out.
So it looks to me as if I'll be sticking with my S7 for another year. If the S10 has an under the glass fingerprint scanner then I'll be tempted to upgrade.
S8 VS S9: same display, same OS, same memory and storage, same battery. CPU and GPU can be called different if you call fiddling with CPU frequency a next step. Camera is slightly different and they called it revolutionary last month? This is called milking, what Intel was doing prior to Ryzen.
I want a better camera... this may be a better camera physically, that produces same quality pics as note 8. Maybe the beginning of a new tech??? I Don't know.. the guy in wheel chair ..basically said the s9 is the beginning... great stuff in near future.
