I do not remember the name of the series but it starred Peter Weller on a space mission with other people when the Earth is destroyed and an alien being sends the humans back in time to save everyone. I loved that show. Hated to see it canceled.
War of the Worlds on MGM+ is far underrated..probably because people were expecting high octane series and it is a little slower and deeper, still with action but more about human connection, etc.
"The Walking Dead" at 13 and "Fear the Walking Dead" at 12? I believe you missed the mark. FTWD was awful, nearly unwatchable until the season 4 reboot. None of the shows you ranked between 11 and 1 are better than "The Walking Dead." And how did you miss "Black Summer?" The second season is particularly brilliant.
I hear that Beyond The Walking Dead tells you how it started. But I'm not willing to pay $3 an episode to watch it on Amazon Prime so they can kiss my butt! I already paid for the subscription to Amazon Prime. I should be able to watch ALL of the shows on it!
You have some great ones, and some stinkers on that list for "Top 20"... You could have added a few better. THEY are worthy of another video. Survivors (Both of them) Jericho Jeremiah War of The Worlds (Both of them) Colony Aftermath Dominion Revolution Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles The Last Train Terra Nova
I Watched "Between" season 1 but grew tired of it. Too much kid/teen drama. Lord Of The Flies type drama, rather than post-apocalyptic. Maybe I should watch season 2 due to the lack of anything good to watch. Could be interesting when they finally travel around outside their small town and at least get a more global armageddon feel to it. I also started watching "Salvation" but it was too much about now and not so much about post-apocalyptic which I prefer. the rest I've already watched. Kind of fun how attached I got to Van Helsing and Z Nation, since I thought they were quite silly in the beginning. Maybe just because of the lack of good TV-Shows in my taste so that I have lowered my standard, or maybe they turned better over time. I so miss acctual sci-fi and post-apocalyptic movies and series. Nowdays sci-fi like 9 out 10 movies are superhero movies and not acctual sci-fi and most so called post-apocalyptic movies or series are more or less just catastrophy movies. More like a Towering Inferno feel (just on a global scale) than an acctual post-apocalyptic feel. I so miss the days of Mad Max, Threads, BBC's The Survivors (from the 70's), The Last Train miniseries (from 1999), The Road, The Book of Eli etc.
@@davidbgreensmith The movie I really liked when it came out. The TV-Series was ok'ish at times. It felt a bit dragged out and many filler episodes. Being starved of the kind of movies and series I like, so of course I watched it, but I prefer post-apocalyptic movies/series when they move around in the ruined world (not just watch it being a frozen landscape through a window). Like in the ruins of former cities and such. Some good examples are "The Road", the British mini-series "The Last Train", the few underwater scenes in "Waterworld". The first season of "The Walking Dead" when Rick Grimes enters that city and crawls into that Abrams tank, well those kind of scenes. Many post-apocalypitic movies/series simply save budget by finding some abandoned farm house and shoots a lot of scenes in some wood, or some abandoned little house out in nowhere. The intro scenes in "Z for Zachariah" was also ok when she moves around outside the valley in some abandoned town. However the rest of the movie was boring and could just be some generic drama on some farm somewhere. "The Last Man On Earth" with Vincent Price and the re-makes "The Omega Man" and "I Am Legend" have the right feel to them and shot in ruined cities. The "live action" movie version of the Manga series "Doragon Heddo/Dragon Head" from 2003 was also ok'ish. A bit too much teenage drama, but once they got out of the train and tunnel I liked it. The HBO mini-series "DMZ" could have been so good, but instead they made it more feel like some drama/soap opera with way too much virtue signaling. "Station Eleven" on HBO had a nice setting, but also turned too much into some soap drama. Although I did appreciate it's original approach to the post-apocalyptic theme, even if not 100% in my taste. "The Last Ship" just felt like any generic action/war series and lost it's apocalyptic feel pretty fast. "Y The Last Man" had it's moments, but also way too much virtue signaling and social politics woven into it. "Black Summer" is cool though. Especially season 1. Season 2 is ok'ish, but again just mostly shot around some random house out in nowherer. "The 100" started out good, but then I don't know what happened? It just lost it's way like "Lost" did and turned into something else. "Into The Night" is ok'ish. Well, I hope you get the "picture" as to what style I am reffering to. :)
The occasional peculiar pauses and incorrect pronunciations make me wonder if the narration for these and other "best of/top 10" videos is a computer generated voice.

SNOW PIERCER
THE WALKING DEAD
FEAR THE WAKING DEAD

For sure “See” & “Jericho” is missing.
As well would to see Salvation continued!
See socks.
You suck. See was epic. Cut short way too soon.

It would help if you mentioned which network they were on.
Great selection of apocalypse themed tv shows. I will add Into The Night, Raised By Wolves and The Expanse since the three have close related to the theme
Into the badlands top of everything... cant have better show.. was too short . Hopping it comes back
Right? Have you seen the show See on apple plus? Those are my fave PA shows.
you should include WAR OF THE WORLD france version
Snow Pizer? I don't think so. It is pronounced peer-cer. It refers to the train piercing through the snow. Sort out your robot.
Bro XD GO OUTSIDE XD XD Its not that serious
@@alanv3185 Who is saying it is serious?
Sort out your robot😂😂
Really love all seasons of 12 monkeys and all twd series
The Rain is really good only downside is US version voices are dubbed over
Or you know, you can watch it in its original audio and read the subtitles. Personally, I find better because sometimes the dubbed versions of movies and TV Shows are not good. So I just stick with whatever language they're speaking.
TWD💪🏼
The walking dead is the best of them … A Must watch for everyone

You missed the strain that was also a good show.

Try to watch it..
Good job'!!
I love SCI-FI series.
Where is See? That is the absolute BEST post apocalyptic series.
Right? Idk who wrote this list but they missed a few good ones. Have t finished the video but if Into the Badlands didn't make the cut this list is bogus as hell.
I applaud your effort on the video but i wish you put a little more into your work. So i did it for you. Enjoy.

The Leftovers is absolutely the best. If you don't have the time to binge the whole thing, watch the first and last episode, the last has all the answers.
Thankyou I was looking for something to watch that I haven't seen yet. I'm just about to start binge watching now.
Sweet tooth is the best one of the list!
I would not have considered BSG post-apocalyptic.
I do not remember the name of the series but it starred Peter Weller on a space mission with other people when the Earth is destroyed and an alien being sends the humans back in time to save everyone. I loved that show. Hated to see it canceled.
I'd like to see a redo and continuation of Jericho.
Jericho (TV Series 2006-2008)
You left Jericho out it was definitely cancelled to soon
War of Worlds is another alien invasion PA series worth checking out.
There's a couple though - one is only 2 episodes and the other has three seasons
War of the Worlds on MGM+ is far underrated..probably because people were expecting high octane series and it is a little slower and deeper, still with action but more about human connection, etc.
“The tribe” - all the adults die from a virus and the young ones are left, a silly show for teenagers BUT worth a try
Z nation in my opinion is top of this list then walking dead then fear the walking deadthen I love the 28 days and 28 weeks later ugh so good
Yesss the 100!! I love that one
I got bored of this and stopped watching it by season 7

Jericho/ tera nova are two good ones that never got carried on
Tera Nova just became too expensive for the Network. As do many SF series.
the 100 should be much higher on this list, in top 5 with TWD, FTWD and The last man on earth
Containment is another good one
"The Walking Dead" at 13 and "Fear the Walking Dead" at 12? I believe you missed the mark. FTWD was awful, nearly unwatchable until the season 4 reboot. None of the shows you ranked between 11 and 1 are better than "The Walking Dead." And how did you miss "Black Summer?" The second season is particularly brilliant.
you missed the daddy of them all, BBC Survivors from the 1970's.
Fear of the walking dead didn't explain the zombie virus.
I hear that Beyond The Walking Dead tells you how it started. But I'm not willing to pay $3 an episode to watch it on Amazon Prime so they can kiss my butt! I already paid for the subscription to Amazon Prime. I should be able to watch ALL of the shows on it!
@@ashleysanford8645 well you can always pirate it🤷🏻♂️
You have some great ones, and some stinkers on that list for "Top 20"...
You could have added a few better. THEY are worthy of another video.
Survivors (Both of them)
Jericho
Jeremiah
War of The Worlds (Both of them)
Colony
Aftermath
Dominion
Revolution
Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles
The Last Train
Terra Nova
Thought The Last Train started really well, but it was like they spent all the good money and ideas on the first couple of episodes....
i wish they didn't cancelled Terra Nova and Colony.
LEFTOVERS is your #1 so your list must be awesome 👍
Rain is worth a watch
Wait we dont count Raised by wolves as post apocalyptic? Cause for me it checks all the boxes and could easily be on the top here.
I got 4 episodes in and found it boring af
I guess more of SciFi?
It's post-apoc back story but almost the whole series takes place on another planet.
You need to add "all of us are dead" "sweet home" they are Korean series and so good !!!!
Snow Pie erser.
Black Summer is awesome. A synopsis wont do it justice. The 1st episode is enough.
Jericho and colony should have made at least honorable mentions
Jericho was my favorite
So am I the only one who really loved "see"??? Neither mentioned in this list, nor in the comments....
Only the queen’s acting destroyed that series but I’ll give 9/10.
THE STRANGEST PRONOUNCIATION OF SNOWPIERCER HAHA
i cringed
The occasional peculiar pauses and incorrect pronunciations make me wonder if the narration for these and other "best of/top 10" videos is a computer generated voice.
Defiance and the expanse are both excellent to watch.
Expanse isnt considered post apocalyptic.
@@dirkz.duggitz1567 until they start dropping rocks on Earth.
@@brandynmckibben6174 did that happen? I havent seen it it a long time. It doesnt take place on earth so that in itself makes it more sci to than post apocolyptic. Be like star trek being in the same category kinda.
@@dirkz.duggitz1567 There was a story arc with Clarissa "Peaches" Mao and Amos trying to escape Earth as Marco Inaros' stealth meteors start raining on the planet. Season 5 episode 4-6 or so. You're right though, it's 90% scifi off earth.
The 100 was okay until the final season, then it became incredibly stupid.
