Z-Nation was so damn good for the first 3 seasons. Then they ran out of ideas, and the last season was cringy.
Yeah yeah. It was one of a kind zombie show. A nice one. And they seem to run out of ideas like you said ever since Murphy cravings for brains never seemed to stop
season 3 was certainly the best, but I liked all the seasons. Lucy's death in season 4 is one of the saddest deaths ive ever seen in TV
Jericho (2006) & Under The Dome (2013) would great additions to this list 👍🏻👍🏻
Jericho was great wish they would have made a movie for that Civil War finale and proper ending for the show!
Jericho.... yes
Falling skies (2011) was also good
How could you miss Jericho on of the best TV series ever. Small farming town cut off from rest of US when Nuclear bombs hit key US cities. Information cut off now the town has to survive, pool its resources and deal with after effects includding desperate bigger town next door, espinage & start of a civil war.
I thought I was the only one tmfound this one interesting. Good storyline as well
100%
They put Dark Angel on the list. I'd swear it's not post apocalyptic.
I thought for sure it was going to be #1 on the list. Especially after not making the previous 19.
Awesome show. Have the series on dvd.
The walking dead was the best Apocalyptic series i have ever seen.
And the100
The 100 was good until the final 2 seasons which really disappointed me a lot. But nothing touches the walking dead. Jericho was pretty good and could have been a very good show if they didn't have the writers strike Dearing the second season and caused the show to cancel.
Behave lol that show was a cringe-fest, full of crying gobshites. Ive taken shits with better acting ability than the entire cast, spanish melodrama level talent and writing.
But also the stupidest
Upto season5 good other nahh
I am listening to this and realizing that rather than pay a human narrator who would recognize words and pronounce them correctly, the narration is provided by an algorithm driving a speech synthesizer, producing the most ridiculous pronunciations of some common words, particularly those in the titles of some of the shows.
I'm thinking it's probably because skynet wins
@@Original-Juice, it's not that, just that the content creator is too cheap to hire somebody who can pronounce English words.
@@LeeCarlson - this is definitely an AI and the AI isn’t responding to comments either, so it is a rude computer as well as incompetent at pro noun see a shun…
@@Colin-Fenix, as a purported AI, it cannot be rude, though with proper programming it ought to be able to pronounce words correctly. In this case, the onus falls on the incompetent programmer.
i'm surprised that neither tv shows Jericho or Jeremiah were talked about on this list.
Jericho was a good one. As usual, most decent sci fi gets axed because the average person is more interested in "reality shows" and watching Kim Karcrashian wriggle across the screen.
good selection. we can only regret that some series, which could have become classics, ended up with disgusting final seasons, or worse, premature termination.I would add Jericho to the list - the series was wonderful and definitely ahead of its time.
Jericho was amazing, but if I remember correctly there was only 1 bomb that went off.
i don't speak english well, but i think you think only one bomb went off, right? in fact, many old soviet warheads went off, in many cities. that was the plot: destruction, chaos, and seizure of power .apocalypse, and in stages!
@@InvasionAnimation there were multiple bombs that went off in Jericho.. There was one bomb that didn't
@@enrabahn8003 Oh. I knew I was mistaking.
I LOVED Jericho!
Realistically , Firefly is a PA series. Only 1 season and 1 feature film , well written and excellent portrayal of characters. Funny , dramatic , suspenseful ..... Really worth the time , if you don't mind the frustration of it being cancelled.
if I had to choose, I would Say Firefly is SciFi
Show that got F over by Fox by changing it's time slot and mixing up the episodes.
The Walking Dead… is by far my favorite - I also recommend Cargo, The Last of Us, and The Train to Busan :)
TWD is the best of all post apocalyptic series. Nothing comes closer.

Love the Rain but I’m like you I have to take breaks
Sadly Revolution got cancelled
should watch Survivors on the bbc...
Falling Skies is great and also Helix the series.
How is Jericho not here?
Into The Night nd War of The Worlds. Both intriguing series.
Jeremiah was a decent one as well. Not quite post apocalyptic but 8-Days (German) was a belter as well,
Great! Loved this!
I would highly recommend!

NOBODY wants to read subtitles instead of watching a good movie. Read a book if you want to read a story.
Station Eleven is an amazing one season series. Highly recommend.
I read the book. The series was okay, except for certain decisions to reframe the evil scum as no, really, just a poor sad person who thought he was doing right.
Interesting show. What they didn’t produce in action the plot and character development was amazing.
TWD💪🏼

The Last Train was a British six-part serial, a post-apocalyptic drama first broadcast on the ITV network in 1999. It's difficult to find it anywhere nowadays, luckily I have my own recordings of the series.
Yes I remember watching it.
I tried to find this one too. Any suggestions?
@@delaineymacphearson6850 It's here on the tubes, easy peasy to find. I have watched it several times now on the tube when bored. Just search The Last Train part 1 or just The Last Train full season
I agree. TH-cam has all six episodes of The Last Train. A very good, British-made show.😎
Great list, I would aadd The Strain, The Expanse and Wynonna Earp.
The girl with the gifts, Alone, Bird box, Station 11, World Z, Maggie, I think we're alone, Z for Zechariah, Day Breakers, The Cell, The knowing, Moon Fall, Quiet place, Carrier's, The Crazies,.
The walking dead is the best Post Apocalyptic series because it has the longest story and is actually really well written (some of it)

@@Theydas ?
You're kidding right? The big three TWD, black summer, and that Z one from sci-fi are all jokes. They're basically a how-not-to-do a zombie apocalypse.

War of the Worlds on Disney. Bleak is an understatement but draws you in.
As in the martian invasion?
I actually enjoyed the 12 Monkeys show. Should've had Jericho on here. Great show. Pity they canceled it.
12 Monkey should be among the top few.
12 monkeys wasn’t canceled. It had an ending. But I agree,, great show. I just finished rewatching it.
Check out “fringe”
@@steeleheraud3496 I was referring to Jericho being cancelled, not 12 Monkeys. I'll give Fringe a look. Thanks.
Jericho was a great post apocalyptic show that should of been on this list
It would help if you mentioned which network they were on.
I'm glad you put Zoo on your list and so high up too!!! Loved that show up until the end..... God they could have done so much more with ZOO!
Sweet tooth is the best one of the list!
Soooo many of these were cancelled puts me off starting to watch them knowing there will be no proper ending…..
The 100 was Epic! And Revolution was damn great too! to bad it ended :&
In the UK in the 1970’s there was a great TV series called “Survivors”, which was a virus apocalypse, which Covid seemed to echo 50 years later.
The 2008 UK series Survivors was good too though not a remake but loose interpretation of the book.
I really liked Survivors as well!
Really love all seasons of 12 monkeys and all twd series
Revolution was a good one.
Missed on the list are The Strain which was an interesting take on vampires and War of the Worlds on Epix. Loved so many of these shows but sad to see my favorites Jericho and Jeremiah were missed. Enjoyed Zoo, The 100 and The Last Ship. Have to finish Falling Skies, Van Helsing and The Rain.
Last season was rushed thou
@@deanhunter1753 Still better than Revolution lol
The 100 is so underrated must watch y’all
you should include WAR OF THE WORLD france version
@Screen Rank ...it would of been good, if you catagorized your apocalyptic videos selections.
example
1..Sci fi Apocalyptic videos
2..Zombie & Viruses Apocalyptic videos
3...EMP and man made Apocalyptic videos (War for Resources / nuclear war / )
4...Global shtf apocalyptic videos (asteroid / super volcano / massive earthquakes / etc )
5...Alien invasion Apocalyptic videos
6...Historical SHTF's Apocalyptic Videos
I was going to mention The Strain , but wasn't sure if it really fit in the PA genre. Although a little muddled at times , an above average series.
"The Rain" its amazing! it will not disappoint you. The story and the development of the characters story leave you hooked. It has very good actors. IT IS NOT an ordinary teen series XD so don't be scared for the first five minutes of teen-cliché-movie. :)
Give this poor narrator a power lesson in pronunciation, sentence intonation, and left-out words, please! He has a great voice. How can you not know how to pronounce piercer?
I think it's just an electronic voice.
it's automated. but yes, very annoying.
Computer generated voice. I had a text-to-speech program once that pronounced 'cockatiel' as "Cuh-KATY-ell". Funny... but also irritating.
Survivors, An unknown virus pandemic kills more than 90% of the world's population. Those immune must strive to survive and overcome the difficulties of this new world order, hoping that the virus will not mutate. fantastic series
Very very good list
Great selection of apocalypse themed tv shows. I will add Into The Night, Raised By Wolves and The Expanse since the three have close related to the theme
The walking dead will always be the best ❤️❤️
It is already the real best iconic movie series in his type

Show I have seen and I recomed are into the badland, the 100, the walking dead and falling skies.
Thanks, partner
anything that involves a hybrid star child as the saviour of humanity is utter garbage. Spielberg couldn't even come up with an original idea he had to rip off V.
You could add Jericho basically a bunch of Nations set off nukes and one small town survived that
Snow Pizer? I don't think so. It is pronounced peer-cer. It refers to the train piercing through the snow. Sort out your robot.
Bro XD GO OUTSIDE XD XD Its not that serious
@@alanv3185 Who is saying it is serious?

Best of them was The 100

The best and most realistic post-apocalyptic movie (no fantasy stuff like movies/TV series with zombies) is: The Road! This is what the world will most likely look like after an apocalypse.
A really good zombie(?) movie that didn't become so well known but is incredibly good is: Pandorum!
Ticks me off that most of these were "canceled" before being properly concluded. :(

i can never understand why into the badlands got cancelled. It was very well received as a western apocalyptic show with kingdoms/warlords but has the perfect inclusion of Asian martial arts for their fights. Plus, when they finally added guns, it wasn't horrible either, it fit into the story. I will never forgive that cliffhanger at the end :(
I loved into the badlands.
Damn they cancelled it? Is it still worth watching even tho it doesn't have a proper end to it
@@dish5848 yeah. The last episode obv gave way for a new season. But it was also a "end of an era" type of ending. So if you don't look too hard into it you can accept it as a ending to the series
True. I love the fighting scenes!
It’s one of my favorite shows ever. it’s so good. I guess they canceled it cause AMC wasn’t getting the amount of money they wanted from it.
Jericho (TV Series 2006-2008)
Into the badlands top of everything... cant have better show.. was too short . Hopping it comes back
Right? Have you seen the show See on apple plus? Those are my fave PA shows.

First two seasons of "The Last Ship" are arguably a 10/10, then it goes downhill fast...
the 100 should be much higher on this list, in top 5 with TWD, FTWD and The last man on earth
You should include THE COLONY about a successful alien invasion which kills most of humanity but keeps some humans alive for some mysterious reason.
Its sad that the production stopped
Colony was cancelled on a cliff hanger. A tragedy
@@davidbgreensmith It would also have been interesting for the story to explore more about how they got some humans to “co-operate” with them.
Loved Falling Skies...the fact everyone was trained to fight
THE STRANGEST PRONOUNCIATION OF SNOWPIERCER HAHA
i cringed
The occasional peculiar pauses and incorrect pronunciations make me wonder if the narration for these and other "best of/top 10" videos is a computer generated voice.
Jericho!
How about the one called Cleopatra 2000 or something like that it was a on 43 channel 43 it was us apocalypse show too
Awesome
Containment is another good one
lol snow pie ear sir was the highlight of this video
Dark three seasons from 2017 to 2020 - German Science fiction series on Netflix could be #1 on this list - Time Travel with Apocalypse implications and its effect on human nature and life!
War of Worlds is another alien invasion PA series worth checking out.
There's a couple though - one is only 2 episodes and the other has three seasons
War of the Worlds on MGM+ is far underrated..probably because people were expecting high octane series and it is a little slower and deeper, still with action but more about human connection, etc.
Yesss the 100!! I love that one

Survivors, both series, 1975-77 and 2008-2010. The 4400 2004-2007.
Childhood's End is a mini series made in 2015 by syfy and Survivors was remade in 2008 from the original series from the 70's. I think there are 2 seasons. Oh, and my most favorite PA is A Handmaid's Tale It should be number 1 on this list.
There's only one season, and yeah it was really good. 😁
Rain is worth a watch
Jericho is also a great series for this list.
The rain was a surprising hit for me. Realistic.
I'd like to see a redo and continuation of Jericho.

"FRINGE"

Good job'!!
I love SCI-FI series.
The Rain is really good only downside is US version voices are dubbed over
Or you know, you can watch it in its original audio and read the subtitles. Personally, I find better because sometimes the dubbed versions of movies and TV Shows are not good. So I just stick with whatever language they're speaking.
The walking dead is the best of them … A Must watch for everyone
