Most enemies in the morbot region are mils. The morbots seemingly disappeared when the mils drilled into the morbot regions. They were meant to be further explained on in the sequels.
I personally think that the Original Halo influenced Metal Arms the most, just watch some gameplay and especially look at stuff like the Hud, vehicles, the way the levels are build and even the weapons a little bit. Also: i've just watched some original Ratched and Clank gameplay and Metal Arms has really not much to do with that other than the fact that Ratchet and Clank is also a Shooter, like dead ass, it's really different.
Ppl who owned an Original Xbox: *PLAYED THE HELL OUT OF HALO 2* Me who owned an orginal xbox: *PLAYED THE HELL OUT OF METAL ARMS GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM, AND WITH SIBLINGS ON MULTIPLAYER* Over all i prefure this game to any halo that ever came out, sad it had no online multiplayer, this games control flippin rocks, so easy to well control ur robot even on 4 player split screen, and just some of the best multiplayer maps, love this game to death and back 😍😍😍
One of the best things about the control tether is that you can shoot it behind an enemy and then when it breaks the enemies will look in that direction. So you can get them to look away (so you can sneak around) even if they are too far away to be tethered directly
Having beaten the game on the hardest diffuliculty, nuts of steel. Maybe took me like 3 or 4 days of playing it after school during high school a year or two ago. Hot damn, it was hard and definitely preferred the hide and poke style gameplay, taking tougher enemies one at a time and cheesing them with grenade spam and ultimately utilizing emp grenades. It was super hard. Your grenades don't one shot grunts on contact, coring charges (the grenades) and rockets deal one whole battery of damage to you. Enemies feel like they have about double the health, and missions with a timer had to be beaten on a dime, which even costed me missing a gun for super late game when you've gotta collect them and race to the finish for a rocket, which I beat after rolling forward to the winning cutscene trigger after the losing cutscene happened. Complete luck that that happened to me. It was fun, but at moments became really frustratingly, especially on side missions as I call them, missions where you are running and gunning, and rather driving or control other bots. Still a 10/10 game and I plan on doing challenges later like no upgrades from shops.
This game was an absolute hidden gem. I have alot of good memories with this game. And also, playing on nuts of steel with auto aim off was my prefered way to play. Its quite a challenge for a game portrayed towards younger audiences but i digress, its an S tier game even to todays standards.
I’m getting a ps4 and I want my old childhood game again! I remember the fun, confusing frustration from playing this game! I had it on the Xbox in the wee old days
I think this era of games was just, hard. Even on easy difficulty. I remember it took me a few weeks to get Star Wars Bounty Hunter done, and that wasn't even on and off. Sometimes I'd die on a section but instead of quitting the game, I'd go back and repeat a level I already did. Because while these 3rd person console games where hard, they were still good. No shame in starting on easy, or "2003 easy"; I think game difficulty is like currency, inflation changes over time :P Also loving the channel, your Starfox series rocks
This game's story really isn't what's important and isn't what the developers were focused on, I think. There's a lot of intrigue regarding Glitch's history and the Morbots which would have been explored in the sequel, but the story really only serves to set the stage and establish what your goal is as the player and not much else. The game's focus is entirely on being fun and challenging, and it more than makes up for the story's lack of depth. I love when the game drops you into a really sketchy situation where the odds seem stacked against you because you can always come up with a new strategy to deal with it.
Good review as always. Also, I understand why you don’t want to review the Ratchet and Clank games just yet. We wouldn’t want subpar reviews that don’t do the series justice, now would we? Looking at you, 2016 Sly Cooper reviews

Should check out the metal arms discord. We've gotten a lot of the dev pipeline, so modding is possible. There's a texture pack I ported to dolphin that brings the graphics to par with the xbox version. We've also ported e1m1, rainbow road, and made some custom maps as well!

There's a commercial for Metal Arms where Glitch throws out the Needler
Fun fact, the Italian xbox version is full of swears because they actually forgot to bleep them.
It's fixed in the PS2 version, just saying.
Plays this first when I was 8, and loved it ever since. Absolutely amazing video game.
I really like the stealth Mission in the Robot factory! It was a little bit relaxing...
