I keep a small "in case the market crashes" fund to try and take advantage of the low prices. When the market goes south, I use that money spread out over the following months buying my targeted stocks on low days. on top of my usual DCA, They keep dropping and I keep buying. I'm still in on Renewable Energy, EV, Tech, Health.coins too gotta be greedy when others are fearful. At this point I'm grateful for my FA Susan Kay Mack. Already with a 7 figure portfolio but I have no doubt investing more.
Same. I teetle on the premise that the market can and will crash at some point, as well as the notion that many individuals miss out on gains due to actually NOT being in the market and waiting for the chance of a crash. Perhaps it's wise to do both partially

Don't fight the market. Take what the market gives you. If there's volatility, use it to your advantage. A down day tomorrow is a good opportunity for long term investors to buy quality stocks and ETFs cheap.
Picking quality stocks require a lot of factors and seems daunting for beginners like myself. I would say the ideal thing to do is investing weekly into my Total Market Index Fund.
From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly if you need a good life, made over 600k investing with an advisor in my corner and I believe anyone can do it if you have the the right approach. Index funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term.
That's been the problem I've had.. I bought a week ago set a purchase for a Dip price... I did not know it would trip on a major short attack that would have me on my last nerve... Watching 320k investment drop 110k this past few months has been torture.

Depending on do need you a truck now or can you wait? Used truck prices fell recently in couple months ago. Brand trucks new is still in question, you may get a discount from good dealerships that don't over price their inventory. If you can wait till next year I believe its your best time to buy. This is my opinion, take it with grain of salt.
Id definitely be patient. I personally think itll be a better buying opportunity in 2023

I'm a veteran, and i'm sure you know the magic of va loans. Va Loans require 12 months of occupation before you can rent out the property... Refi and free up your VA loan for another property (one at a time), move. Rent. Repeat. Assuming I follow that $300-400 more rent to mortgage rule, how flawed can this plan be?

CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is a masters level program, you need 2 years management experience in a financial firm and it's one of the hardest certifications to get; 3 of the hardest tests around. It doesn't give you ANY special abilities, all it does is allow you to say you're a CFA. I'm in an MBA-Finance program, that would be infinitely harder than this; but with no added guaranteed benefit. The upside is you can still earn $180k a year once you get that certification and probably $1 million/yr after 10 years, however; that's not as common as it was when I first heard of this 10-14 years ago and I can't be sure of it. Imagine taking the Series 7, Bar exam and Series 23; then doing all this two more times.

Good for you. Welding is aheavily in demand skill and i believe demand will only increase as time goes on. My main income source is working in a custom welding company. Getting quality employees is difficult in this trade. Good welders have a lot of leverage
