It surely doesn't feel good, but I'm still buying ~60% VTSAX / 40% VTIAX every paycheck. A lot of people are saying "we are headed for a recession, don't buy now" but that may already be priced in and guaranteed losses in cash aren't attractive.

Listen to her podcast in the know. She has actually been really right. She said the fed made a big mistake and they use poor data points. She called the decrease in numerous commodities and talked about the build up of inventories for months prior to it happening. She got oil wrong but that was primarily because the invasion of Ukraine and poor decisions by our government. If we opened up the pipeline and Russia doesn’t invade oil probably plummets and we get out of this 6 months ago.

I'm not sure what's happening on the west coast, but I am sure that in the last 4 months I've seen my grocery bill go from an average of 175 weekly to 225 weekly. Is inflation coming down? Not here in the southeast.

We very well might, but keep in mind what caused a lot of those deflationary pressures a century ago was the work week dropping off significantly from 60-70 hrs to 40-50. Unless we see massive, depressive recession we won't see a drop in labor supply, the work hours and deflationary pressures. Now 5 years from now that can all change with advancing in technology, but for the near mid 0.5-3 year eh..inflation down is probably the safe call.

Monthly fees are the most sustainable and profitable model. Everyone knows subscription services (ex: SAAS) have made the Microsoft and numerous other companies what they are today.
That being said, lifetime access may be better for the consumer if content continues to churn out.

There are two major forces at work in Washington DC that will keep on driving inflation upward - (1) the 1.7 trillion per year margin between receipts and outlays in the CMS agency of the HHS department, (2) interest charges on national debt - also likely to be around 1.7 trillion per year if interest rates stay around where they are at now. With annual total wages of 9.6 trillion these 2 holes of 3.4 trillion can only be filled one of two ways - cut federal spending, keep inflation roaring.

Kevin, inflation will most likely increase in the coming months as commodity prices such as copper have increased over 15% in the last month again and that just takes time before it shows in the producers price index and ultimately cpi. Demand destruction is the only way that this inflation stops
