- A busy weekend with lots of traffic at the helipad and a great variety of helicopter models! Which one is your favourite and which landing did you like the most in this video?
Here are the helicopters featured in this video and theirs specs:
Starting with the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X, this light helicopter is powered by a Safran Arrius 2R engine, providing a maximum takeoff weight of 1,669 kg (3,680 lbs). The Bell 505 reaches a top speed of 125 knots (232 km/h) and has a range of 306 nautical miles (567 km). Known for its advanced Garmin G1000H avionics suite, the Bell 505 offers excellent visibility, intuitive controls, and a sleek design, making it perfect for training, utility, and light transport missions.
Next in line is the Bell 429, a twin-engine helicopter powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW207D1 engines, with a maximum takeoff weight of 3,402 kg (7,500 lbs). The Bell 429 reaches a top speed of 155 knots (287 km/h) and has a range of 412 nautical miles (763 km). Its spacious cabin and advanced avionics make it ideal for medical evacuation, law enforcement, and corporate transport, offering exceptional performance and safety.
Following that, we see the Bell 429 WLG (Wheeled Landing Gear), which adds operational flexibility to the Bell 429’s robust performance. With the same powerful engines and a top speed of 155 knots (287 km/h), the WLG version allows for smoother operations on hard surfaces and provides additional versatility in mission profiles such as VIP transport and corporate aviation.
Next, the Airbus H145 D3 enters the scene. This five-blade rotor system helicopter is powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines, with a maximum takeoff weight of 3,800 kg (8,377 lbs). It reaches a top speed of 145 knots (268 km/h) and has a range of 351 nautical miles (650 km). The new rotor design increases payload capacity and reduces maintenance needs while improving overall stability and reducing vibration, making the H145 D3 perfect for emergency medical services, law enforcement, and corporate transport.
Then comes the Agusta A109, a sleek and high-performance twin-engine helicopter powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW207C engines. The A109 boasts a maximum takeoff weight of 3,175 kg (7,000 lbs) and reaches a top speed of 156 knots (290 km/h) with a range of 432 nautical miles (800 km). Known for its agility, luxurious cabin, and speed, the Agusta A109 is a favorite for VIP transport, medical evacuation, and search and rescue operations, offering advanced avionics and smooth handling.
Next up is the Robinson R44 Raven II, powered by a Lycoming IO-540 engine with a maximum takeoff weight of 1,134 kg (2,500 lbs). It achieves a top speed of 130 knots (240 km/h) and has a range of approximately 300 nautical miles (560 km). The R44 Raven II is popular for personal use, flight training, and aerial photography due to its cost-effectiveness, reliability, and easy maintenance, with great visibility and maneuverability.
Following closely is the Airbus H160B, a state-of-the-art helicopter with cutting-edge technology and superior performance. Powered by two Safran Arrano engines, the H160B has a maximum takeoff weight of 6,050 kg (13,338 lbs). It reaches a top speed of 161 knots (298 km/h) and offers an impressive range of 475 nautical miles (880 km). The H160B stands out with its sleek, quiet design, advanced Helionix avionics, and spacious cabin, making it ideal for VIP transport, offshore operations, and demanding missions.
Lastly, the Airbus H125, also known as the AS350 B3e, makes its landing. This single-engine helicopter is powered by a Safran Arriel 2D turbine engine, with a maximum takeoff weight of 2,370 kg (5,225 lbs). The H125 reaches a top speed of 155 knots (287 km/h) and has a range of 340 nautical miles (630 km). Known for its excellent high-altitude performance, the H125 is a versatile workhorse, perfect for aerial work, search and rescue, and passenger transport.
