It seems very clear CJ was the best QB in the draft.
No exaggeration he throws one of the nicest balls I’ve ever seen from a rookie. He’s made throws I’ve had to re watch 10 times
The only explanation is subterfuge by other teams to make him fall, because it was obvious he was the quickest of the 2023 class at reading through progression.. And the stats back it up.. And all that arm talent.. Not a straight up howitzer, but plenty strong, timing and anticipation, touch..
And size.. No shrimpboats..

I knew CJs family from college with his big Sis. Definitely has a good family backbone & was raised how to be a leader. Hopefully a nice bright career ahead of the kid

It's annoying how every time CJ is mentioned Colin has to say "His comp was Jared Goff" like predraft comps mean anything now, and he says it almost defensively; "look I never said Goff wasn't good" or whatever. I also hate how he says it like it's some immutable characteristic of Stroud that can't be debated. You didn't see Stroud's success coming, who cares...draft evaluation isn't easy it happens, get over it and stop repeating over and over this lazy presupposition

Eberflus definitely hasn't earned his money yet this season. Last season at least we were exciting and fun to watch. Yesterday was a bit better but our defense is awful when our HC is in yr 2 as a defensive HC. As a bears sox fan, im in absolute misery nowadays lol.

Puka gets targeted by Stafford on routes that not a lot of QBs would trust their receiver to make the catch. Puka can make them. Cooper can make them. That’s why they get the targets and the numbers.

I would argue that the defense didn't necessarily bail out Brandon Staley against the Vikings. That was more a product of the Vikings completely mismanaging the last minute.
Had the Vikings just spiked the ball and set up with three downs and 35 seconds left I believe they would have scored. But they ran a disorganized play so it was more about the Vikings choking it then it was about the chargers defense making a play

Surely if the Steelers are trading FOR Caleb Williams, their trade package would have to also include Kenny Pickett in it, wouldn't it? In my mind, it doesn't make any sense as to why you would keep two first-round quarterbacks on their rookie deals on your roster simultaneously. Or am I missing something?

Miami's O is elite speed at every position except QB, but the D is average at best nothing elite. As long as the O keeps scoring no one cares but when they are a little stalled on O and are facing an elite QB they can't stop the other team.
Overrated not elite it's a good offense lots of speed not enough depth on the oline to win against contenders
Really enjoyed TJ's insight and respect for deflecting credit but being proud of the people he's worked with. Need to get TJ and Greg Jennings together on a show rather than the "I'm the loudest and have the hottest takes" that we've devolved into.

Bengals have a must Win against Cardinals otherwise their season is over. If Joseph Burrow is not healthy then play the backup qb. Get the reps in right now with the first team. Cardinals are not good and I do believe their Win over Dallas was Dallas either looking past them or not studying tape properly. That was a very embarrassing loss by Dallas and I'm an Eagles fan. I also think Dallas has a good chance at upsetting the Niners this Sunday. I could see that game going either way with a field goal kick.
