Played 13-2 n lightning returns..probably went through the whole story of 13 through youtube... i like 13 alot... music, gameplay, story as well... but im beginning to see certain points why it doesnt attract pple... the storys between the 3 parts doesnt seem connected... or should i say the flow or char development seemed to be rather forced upon... e.g. lightning falls into another land... saw the goddess, accepts her mission n faces the enemy like any other... the story within each of the game itself is beautiful... but what connects them seem very forced upon...
I feel like she she's someone who doesn't act like a damsel in distress and shows women can do anything a man could and that makes her so interesting and attractive in a way. Even in ff13-3 she got so many outfits and it give more aspects of her feminine side which is something as viewers is interesting bc we really got to know more about how her character off from battle sites. That is my personal opinion.
Also I wish serah hugged lightning if for no other reason she wouldn't know when it would be the next time she would ever get to have that chance again

For the people wondering, Lightning's real name is said in the first game. It's before you fight Barthandelus in Oreba. Dysley disguises himself as Serah and calls Lightening "Claire".
What you all need to understand is that Lightning and them had to stay in Crystal status and wake at whatever time Fang and Vanille wake but Etro intervined and worpt time line by giving Lightning and them to wake earlier then they should that is why the gates came to be Serah knows it early in the game

I have the same thoughts; I honestly do think Lightning knew what would happen. But, I also strongly think that since she changed her fate in XIII, Lightning thought it could happen again; changing fates. Like what Light told Hope in XIII, "Fightning with out hope is just a slow suicide."

Watching Lightning and how brave she is it makes me want to be like her for my family and protect everyone for what's right. But sometimes it's not the best' I think if I try like she does; all i'm doing is hurting people that love me..
But you know neither of them have regrets. Serah knew her fate and Lightning knew the only way to perserve serah's memory. They both died(if you wanna call it that) happy.

Use Noel's arrival to get a message to Serah to enlist some help on their front, reality. Didn't work, Serah dies, Caius wins. con't next comment...

You can recruit her in either of her outfits through the DLC, but she'll kick your ass in the coliseum and the episode DLC is meant to be played after you beat the game. I hear you, but hey, just gotta enjoy FF13-2 for what it is. I guess I adapted to Serah.
If you saw FF13 first ending , you'll see a crystallized Lightning there (ofcourse naked) , and you can see she had them normal size , not massive like DOA girls have, but not flat.
I've been thinking about this as well. The Seen Realm and the Unseen Realm have murged now that the Goddess is dead, but since that happened after Serah died, I'm thinking that her soul is lost forever now that Valhalla is some what destroyed. That, or her soul went to the Void, which is beyond the Seen and Unseen realm... With time destroyed, are paradoxes even possible? I honestly don't want Serah to come back; I love her, I do, but it just doesn't sit right with me...
@WeaponXSigma Yes. We don't know her role in it though. She could be entirely unrelated, or could be a 'dead' god, only left in symbolism in Verses, or she could be entirely alive!, and important to Verses.

i've beat the game twice and after watching this, i still don't completely understand how all this timeline space-time continuum crap happens after they get out of crystal stasis. -_-
They weren't supposed to come out of their crystal state too soon and their fate as a l'cie would still be like that when they reawaken. That's why the time continuum was whacked, even altering the fate of several people would alter time in any direction
**SPOILERS POSSIBLY?** ff13 and ff13versus aren't suppose to be connected at all, but etro is in ffversus and now ff13-2 and the story about etro in this is pretty much the same as versus with the whole "souls going through the gate of etro." and noctis and stella can see these souls....it makes me wonder....
