Great video, Alyssa, thank you! I’d love to see more like this. I’m a lonely, almost totally plant based person in a fairly carnivore household. It works, but ideas are SO welcome.
Natmari yes I would love to see that as well. I’m the cook for my household I’m vegan, my guy and son are Omni, one teen daughter mostly veggie and the other teen eats whatever I tell her to lol. I try to cook this way but still feels like I’m making several different meals each night.
Great video, I want to eat more plant based but partner isn’t into it. This is a great way to make it feel like you are still eating the same dish and don’t have to spend forever cooking!
MissMustardCouture You should NEVER have to cook 2 separate meals! whoever cooks the meal, that's what's coming on the table, if the partner doesn't like it he can make something different for himself.
This is good, my hubby eats different than I do, but he will eat my way sometimes. I kinda feel overwhelmed sometimes but everything will be ok. Thank you for sharing.
Love these ideas! My boyfriend usually just eats whatever vegan stuff I make but these are great ideas!! Good for a group too...then they can tailor to their liking.
Thanks for this video Allysa! I am vegan and live with my non vegan parents but do a lot of the cooking. I personally don’t feel comfortable cooking non vegan food. Do you feel the same? If so do you have Matt cook his protein or do you guys buy it pre made?
Thanks for your tips! Just like you I have a partner who's not plant-based and it would be very interesting to hear how you deal with that in general. Of course it depends on why you chose this diet. But if it's more than for health reasons like e.g. environmental or ethical reasons, than I would love to hear if there's some inner conflict sometimes. I personally hate to buy meat for my partner, it feels so wrong to me.
xXMarschmallowXx do you have to buy it for him? during the time I didn't eat meat my husband was only eating it at restaurants. If he fancied it, he could always buy it.
surlespasdondine I knew a couple who did this, and it worked just fine for them. On one hand, the meat eater has to be flexible, but on the other, it’s also true that you can just stand your ground. Depends on the personalities involved.
I love this! Because not everyone has the luxury of sharing the same diet with the partner and that’s totally fine. I am vegan but I don’t like to tell people that that’s the way they have to eat as well. I post vegan food videos on my channel as well. Feel free to check it out. 🌼
Are you now 100% vegan? I love your videos bec you said before you’re not and you still eat fish etc. I’m not even vegetarian but want to start eating healthy so you are relatable bec you’re not from my understanding not all vegan
My boyfriend and now my son are not vegan, but I prefer to not have any meat in my house so they have to either eat what I give them ( which they usually do) or go get their own food.
I’m one of the lucky ones everyone in my household is vegan.Great video thank you for sharing.
You have the greatest ideas and menus ..I enjoy adding nuts to my salads and high protein:) Fabulous as ever Many thanks 👍
Love this video idea. So many people I know, including myself, live this way!

This is such a good video! Can you do what I eat in a day style video showing the meals you prepared for flexible proteins?

How could anyone not like beans?!🤪
Some can't digest or have issues with it, more for us! 😊
This is how I have to cook since my husband and son want meat.
