Hi I am from India. So basically in India, government colleges are very prestigious.
For engineering, we have 3 main types of Government Colleges IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), NIT (National Institute of Technology) and IIIT (Indian Institute of Information and Technology.
These institutes are quite prestigious by their placements. Every year only 47,000 Indian students (top 5% of students) get a seat in these colleges out of almost 9-10 lac students that appear through exams called JEE Advanced (which you give if you are in the top 25% of students) and JEE Mains.
Even then all the branches in these colleges aren't prestigious. For example, civil and metallurgy aren't prestigious. So real number of seats are 40,000.
The more marks you get, the more is the chance of getting a better branch.
The placements of these colleges are really good.
In CS branch some of the IIITs average a placement of 25 lakhs INR.
There is just too much competition for these. Many study 2 years for these exams after passing Class 10 for about 8-10 hours to get a good rank every day (not a joke). You can research the curriculum.
In medical about 18 lacs give the exam NEET for 90,000 seats.
I got an All India Rank of 6466 out of 9.1 lakh students who sat this year for JEE Mains. Percentile 99.3%. Even at this rank, I won't be getting Computer Science Branch in many NITs, and 2 IIITs. This may give you a sense of competition. At the colleges I am getting at this rank will make me do rigorous hard-work for a good average package. But its worth it if I get a good placement. And so I amn't concerned about the curriculum of the college as much as getting a good college.
I will be giving JEE Advanced in the next 2 weeks.

If you are really keen to know the answer maybe this will help. You are taught to be fearful since the day you are born because of your religion. You are made to take every step with a biased approach and thinking of Islam. It is so deeply ingrained in your DNA, that by the time you grow up, you are fearful and hateful of everything and every one who is different and cannot be defined by Islam. Don't think about Islam and don't identify as a Muslim for a few months and see the difference. Indian Culture on the other hand originated from seeking answers to questions. Even the Dharam that they follow is based on seeking the truth and no answers are provided. Acceptance, probing and learning is a way of life. Education not only by books, is an essential practice. When a Muslim family is teaching their kids the importance of Islam and their religion, a Hindu family is teaching their children various real life lessons and knowledge through stories in their history and mythology, trying to educate them in all fronts. That is the difference.

    • @RDG1877

@@nacpatil That is because there is no such thing as Hinduism. Its a Dharma or a way of life that a sect of people live by, who get categorised as Hindus. Hence free thinking , right to follow what you want to believe in or not believe in and the search for knowledge is critical in this Dharam. Hinduism is not what you see in movies or what you see Karni sena preach. This dharma is beyond peoples understanding as it is so vast and open to so many possibilities.

We Indians were all from middle-class families whereas the Pakistanis were from richer families in the Middle East. All of us Indians went on to higher degrees and got good jobs and settled in America. None of the Pakistanis got any higher degrees and most went back to the Middle East to take on jobs acquired through family connections. Over the years, I've lost touch with most of them but those were some fun college years.

    Dr. Ali,
I am an Indian but in this whole episode or your video - there was something more i saw than your own reading.
    Allow me to elaborate:
"If all the kids were grouped by nationality & the Pakistani students were sitting in groups of different nationalities, then in my personal opinion, they would come out better. Solely because so much 'uniformity' prevalent in Pakistan, the kids were actually going to take many positives from their 'diverse' groups in which they were sitting."
Not sure if you agree or not, but that's what I felt.
    😊

Both country has same culture same language and same history the only difference is that one nation built by a particular ideology and another nation built by multiple ideology, however on broad aspect both country's have almost same problem .
If we collaborate on such issue like energy , education, agriculture, etc we can grow our national economy much faster and better. And it also help to built scientific temper in society
If Pakistan back its own Culture it help them to resolve there local issue ।

I think it’s simple. In India the system is so brutal that people know even a small slip can completely destroy your chances for life. Even 2 points lesser in JEE can reduce your rank by 200 levels and get you thrown out of consideration. People coming from here carry that mentality every where.

Family culture teaches us to be afraid of society whereas self centred attitude teaches us to ignore what others think or say about us. S. Jayshankar says that in world politics India is on India's side whereas Pakistan is fearful of what others think and say and subconsciously doing something unethical. Pakistani people must know that fear is the greatest enemy of man and an obstacle in being ethical and creative. Pakistani students live in confusion which Indian students have discarded to a large extent subconsciously.

Civil Engineering in India & Pakistan :
When Indiana students graduate from university they know 70 to 80 % knowledge about their field but when Pakistani student graduates (70+ % Mark's) he/she knows 80 to 90 % knowledge of other fields, not his/him field. Pakistan education is much better than American 🎉

Why do Indians have so much problem with Islam? This just shows your level of insecurity. Just because you people don't give importance to your religion doesn't mean we have to do the same. Ali is talking about something that has nothing to do with religion and he didn't even said that all Indians were Hindus! They could have been Muslims as well since India has more Muslim population. These hurtful comments make me feel so thankful that I was born as a Pakistani and not Indian where I would have to deal with this discrimination and disrespect towards my religion everyday.

I would rather salute the Pakistani students who took the first step to mingle with other countries, instead if just staying in a comfort zone. And the Pakistani making this video is the one to avoid.

To all the neighbours who assume that Pakistan has zero tolerance level because apparently "india is diverse and pakistan is not". Dude Pakistan is the size of your one province still more than 50 languages are spoken here. So do the math and ratio.... Jitne tolerant aap hn hmen news me pta chlta hi rehta he. Is lye dont assume like you know us better than ourselves. Secular aur tolerant hna synonmous nhi he. Thanks to ishy media which makes us believe secular ppl are also a type of extremist sometimes jo relgion ko hi accept nhi krte. This guy in the video himself says k pakistanis dosre groups me thay jbke indians apes me😅. I see harm in neither of them. Can you guys stop shading others just to prove your point. Jitne tolerant ho wo comment section me hi dikh rha he.

If Kerala Namboodiris Brahman created RIGHT to LEFT Hebrew, then who created Arabic?
The answer is the same Kerala Namboodiris !
Pythagoras and Plato studied in Kodungallur University of Kerala. Same way several Persian scholars studied Math in Kerala before Jesus was born.
Arabic language was created by Kerala Namboodiris. Their numerals are called Hindu-Arabic even today.
The Persian Mathematician Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi studied in Kodungallur University in Kerala.
Fibonacci took his Arabic works to Italy from Bejaya , Algeria.
ALGEBRA is derived from Al-Jabr, one of the two operations he used to solve quadratic equations. Algorism and algorithm stem from Algoritmi, the Latin form of his name.
Al-Biruni was a Sanskrit scholar who learnt Math and astronomy in from Namboodiri professors adept in Sanskrit and Arabic .
While others were killing each other over religious differences, Al-Biruni had a remarkable ability to engage Hindus in peaceful dialogue. Mohammad Yasin puts this dramatically when he says, “The Indica is like a magic island of quiet, impartial research in the midst of a world of clashing swords, burning towns, and burned temples.” (Indica is another name for Al-Biruni’s history of India). (Yasin, 1975, p. 212
ANCIENT ARABS AND GREEKS DO NOT HAVE A SINGLE INVENTION OR DISCOVERY repeat NOT A SINGLE INVENTION OR DISCOVERY , WHICH IS NOT STOLEN FROM INDIA .. . THE GREEK AND ARABIC TRANSLATIONS WERE DONE IN KERALA KODUNGALLUR UNIVERSITY.

There is no Pakistani Group, bcoz historically there were no pakistani people or group or an Identity, Since this identity is Artificial. In a cultural settings, you might see groups of Punjabi, Sindhi Baloch etc bcoz they are historical identities, as such there is No Pakistan Family who can look after their kids....students were confused as their leaders have confused them with Arab identity( riyasat-e-madina) or Turk identity (Ertugral) or even afghan( abdali, gaznavi etc) can't blame students...😆😆😆
