Improvisation is a core part of Ciani’s practice. Since she started touring in the '70s, the producer has used four 16-stage sequences as the foundation for most of her live performances, including her "Improvisation on Four Sequences".

Respect to a prolific artist, and the sound is flowing/beautiful signature Ciani, but who can explain the patch or what the thrree dimensions of control are?
With the second row, she's randomly jumping between MARF stages with every rhythmic pulse - this is "strobing" in Buchla terminology and "random access" in Eurorack sequencer manuals. Each stage can be set to add octave transpositions to the incoming signal. The result is she can get quasi-random octave transpositions of notes in the second sequence. I have no idea what the three dimensions are.
