      I never heard about her. I don't even know how I fell on those videos. But the only thing I see is a bunch of fanatic freaks praising a music that sounds total crap.
      Now.. she might have started modular in the 50's or traveled to the moon nevertheless anywhere I clic on her videos I hear terrible boring basic music that nobody would release without beeing embrassed. I'm happy to change my mind, please take a moment to explain why this is so good.

    Amazing how she starts with the same sequences and every performance is different. She's having a conversation with electricity each time and the result of that conversation is different each time.

      Use any sequencer with analog characteristics or cv in or probability and you will also find this is the case!

      And they are still the same seqeunces she played in 1975 for the Buchla Concerts.... amazing

    Feels like a brain message, and by a gentle hand. Just delight after delightfully different sounds, attacks, decays, mixtures, rhythms, textures, timbres and on and on. Not the easiest instrument to master, but she seems to be there. Thanks for posting, it was most enjoyable. 👏👏🎶😊

    Buchla sinth is a living being. No one can predict what is going to be next. And she knows that. Her performance is the consequence of that knowledge. Myth.

    I think she uses the MARF to address voltages in one the 200e sequencers, in a performative way. I wish I knew how exactly she does this

    • @Atomicunderware
      @Atomicunderware 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are four cv inputs on the MARF, which correspond to positions on the sliders of each stage. You can set each stage to read from one of the four inputs, and then as long as any sequences being sent to the inputs are in key with each other you can randomly mix between them in whichever way you desire. The same functionality can be found on the 250e.

    Spooky and impressing same time...it seems like magic,when she connects the cables,adjust the pitches and start looping them,mixed with other cables,slots and combine them in a new way...its in the nature of the analog electronic instruments that they evoke any time new surprising patterns of sounds ! Maybe the most psychedelic instruments human mind ever built...played by a real scientist/artist of that genre :)

    Hello, student interested in electronic music composition here. Does anyone know what software she's using on each of her Ipads? I would love to try it out.

    • @krismenn29
      @krismenn29 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s the H9 pedal software (it controls the pedal)

    • @stefanvombruch5649
      @stefanvombruch5649 ปีที่แล้ว

      As said, the control app for the H9 Pedal (via Bluetooth) and the synth app "Animoog Z" on the other ipad.

    ok for 1970s maybe, but even then people were doing much deeper explorations of synthesis (Charles Cohen etc.). when you add up 40+ years of experience on the instrument, you really start to wonder why the hype.
