How about i record an entire playthrough of the game and supercut it? Took 3 full days of recording and editing so please excuse the strong title. 34,5 GB of footage compressed into a 7,63 GB video, enjoy.

When i discovered it was a peacewalker reboot i actually initially didn't play it for a month. peacewalker was like building some huge lego castle and phantom pain is like some bully comes by, kicks it all down and says "do it again".

So I picked this game up again, and remembered a ridiculously good explanation for Cipher sending a full platoon, choppers, and armored vehicles to kill Big Boss when he woke up. Think about it... They sent in their best assassin to kill a man that just woke up from a decade-long coma. And after a short period of radio silence, she tumbles out of a fifth story window, screaming and on fire. I'm guessing the rest of Cipher's forces had an "Oh, SHIT" moment, realizing they really were going up against the world's greatest soldier.

Side note, while disappointing that Venom isn't the OG Big Boss, there's something to be said for this dude becoming a legend simply because he believes he IS the legend.

@@TheMasterUnity I'm such a Metal Gear Simp because of this. I legit played the first metal gear on ps one and fell in love with it. Metal Gear 3 is arguably the best metal gear but mgsv is such a masterpiece for the lore alone, and the fact it is kind of a tribute to the fans. My only complaint is it feels like half a game, but all the realizations mgsv does for the metal gear lore alone is amazing.
The way Salonikh plays these games is the way I imagine the way Snake actually does his missions; like this impossibly good soldier who can adapt to any situation in a matter of seconds. Truly a spectacle to be hold.

I snuck through mission 30 and it took me 28 minutes, no kills, not getting spotted, no reflex etc. You took a car and needed about 2. I got a B rank and you got an S rank.

I got through that mission in 20 minutes traceless on my second time and got S rank
Tbh if you really didnt do even one of the things you mentioned you should get a no traces bonus and that's pretty much a guaranteed s rank so something is wrong
boyman no traces is basically perfect stealth except you didn’t hit the attach button at all. That means no cqc, no knocking out guards, not throwing mags, and no tranqs. Pretty difficult but this mission is fucking easy if you figure out the right path.

MGSV is the last part of a 60+ year story... if we're to include the incredible history (only told not shown) of the philosphers legacy then we're getting into super murky waters if you miss little things like members of the wisemens comittee, offspring of them, recruited/stolen children... the Metal Gear world is NOT something you can compare to reality. the only really real things in these games are references to warzones and battles.

i'm not even at the time stamp provided, but i know what "heaven" refers to and i know where BB ends up. even 30+ years after that, Heaven is rebranded and changed into a Haven.

i know one thing about Lord of the Rings. and it's the final moments of the main story (as i can tell) and what i'm about to say is the same retardation we should actively belittle and shame... Frodo is a dumbass, why didn't these people just fly to the mountain, drop the ring, and be done with it... makes no sense.
now... like all lengthy stories, there's likely a reason, but not knowing means i'm going to conclude something dumb as fuck where simply absorbing the information would provide a sense of reason... until then, they can fly and spent 9+ hours of movie time doing absolutely nothing, wasting each second cos they forgot birds/eagles/whatever, exist. and that is some dumb shit that should be called out. shame me for not knowing... but i'm ahead of you. i already know what i don't know, so i don't find comment sections where i can say idiotic shit and just pretend for a second that my lack of knowing is enough for people to be nice to me about it when most responses should be "read the books, at least watch the films... talk to people about it... ask questions.". and that's the polite thing to do... but good manners are for people who are reasonable.

i embody "the golden rule" and i try my best to be reasonable. if you was right infront of me and we could talk, then i'd spend a few days telling you everything that took me and other fanatics of Kojima/MG 25+ years to learn. since 1998, i've been waiting for the Solid Snake story to end, and the legacy of BB to be concluded. this is the best we have for some missing time that was once unaccounted for.
if you can't ask "what does he mean when he refers to "outside Heaven" ?cos i just don't get it." and instead just say dumb shit, you can bet i'll respond when i see it. i'll make the same analogies and i'll be just as brash. the internet has made people mentally inefficient and lazy. MGS players spent the first decade playing all these single player games alone, with no internet, no guides, no hints or tips and tricks, we spent REAL time learning how these things fit together. you've got the internet now, with ALL of our knowledge available to you. ignoring it is insulting and degrading. so learn it for yourself or enquire. stop being a twat and admit you're dumb to this subject. there's no shame in wanting to know. but there's certainly shame when you just say stuff and expect everybody to be nice about something they've worked hard at learning.
these days, someone who creates a world filled with lore and history, is just as important to learn as maths and science. people like me, crave knowledge, we desire interaction and deep thought. what's worse, is anybody who wants to join in (anywhere for anything) MUST admit they're ignorant and want to know more.

if i was stood next to Hideo Kojima and we started talking about Metal Gear... i'd seem just as ignorant to Kojima as newbies seem to me. why? cos what's in his head, isn't what is in the minds of the fans. when you hear a song, you're not listening to the same thing the musician is listening to. a painter, a photographer... unless you're in it with them.... it's not the same. all we have is what we can share and expand upon.
go play Metal Gear and Metal Gear:Solid Snake. --- Zanzibarland is what you need to hear. Zanzibarland is the sequel story to MGSV:TPP and it was made in the 1980's and released in the 1980's... the sequel in 1990 which marks the beginning of the MGS series. Metal Gear is the story.... SOLID is the subtitle for the latest MGS1, 2, 3, PW, 4, 5, games.
there's so much to know and all of it connects in one way or another... way too much to be nice about it when someone new pretend that "outside heaven" makes no sense or isn't understood.

also... don't spread information like you're the ambassador for it. share what you think you know and encourage whoever to find out for themselves. i might sound confident about something, but when the time comes, i'll always refer to the source and let them know that quoting me or using me as the arbiter of that information, is a stupid thing to do. play the games man. or at least watch full playthroughs. no skipping, no leaving the room. take every second into your head. the gameplay is just as important. MGS was made as movies are made. Hideo Kojima is a movie fanatic, if there's anything to take from his games... it's the story. Metal Gear isn't just a game. it's a whole world and how everything develops into the next.
