Was john densmore tuning his drum kit high or medium?

Great question. Hard to tell, I'm thinking medium despite being a jazzy kind of player. He took the bottom heads off and played 20/12/14? 16? so not big sizes. Concert toms always sound lower to my ear unless they are cranked high.
