Since I was in 2nd grade steven tyler was my idol, the stage presence and of course his unbelievable voice. He's In his seventies but it's still so sad about his voice finally given out. He couldn't even finish their farewell tour. God bless steven and Aerosmith yall got me through some rough times.
Steven and the rest of the band did a great cover of this song, I live the original as well too but I like it when the covering band or artist puts its own stuff into the song and make it their own, it is not about emulating the original astist, I think thats the best rendition you can do, aerosmith is so great in everything they did and still do.

Best way to cover a song is by adding your own style to it… Hey Joe is a perfect example, Jimi Hendrix covered it & never was the original creator of the song. I'd say instrumentally it's decent. Vocally quite questionable. Straight off the bat Tyler sees to go too high in his singing and I think that ruins the atmosphere of the song. The only real singing part should come at the end in the crescendo.

I didn't feel that way at all when the Doors sang it, but when Aerosmith covered it, it sounded like Psycho's obsession.
