I've been a fan of Emmy's for more than 10 years and everytime I watch her I fall even more in love with her acting. I'm so glad she's doing interviews again!
Looking past her obvious physical appeal, Emmy Rossum is incredibly articulate and well informed and quite the analytical thinker. When given a chance to speak on non shlock stupid interview stuff, she can really touch on the some pretty complex matters with some deep contemplation.
@Kenefv2 Without judging TS (don't really stay abreast of her qualities), I'd say the dude that has Emmy as a partner. ER seems quite refined and sophisticated and well informed. I need intellectual engagement from a partner. TBH the physical really becomes quite boring quickly absent substantive exchanges when NOT physically entangled.
I can see how Angeline's fashion of hot pink roared in the'80s hot pink and black, large polka dots and neon colors. I liked Emmy's description of her as a provocateur.
She is a very unique person, and with it comes a whole unique issues, I'm sure the production at shameless couldn't handle such unique talent. But damn it , she was needed for the last season . She will do amazing things for the years to come as talent and unique personalities like her are hard to come by , such a beautiful person physically and mentally ,I wish I knew her more in depth ...and be amazed and scared and intrigued and be in awe of her.

Would do small gestures to show her appreciation and never came off as diva-ish. Just wanted people to know that.

I hope the series and renewed interest in her inspires a reality series about. I think that's what she has always wanted, to be understood on her own terms.
Angelyne said she wouldn't be happy with anyone playing her to be fair. I think she liked it, but I think she tells other people she doesn't to play up her character.

I first saw her on Phantom of the Opera. That was stunning. Didn't give a rat's behind that it didn't do well with the reviewers, I liked it well enough for her performance and that of Patrick Wilson.
Such an original and technically outstanding production. A funny but multi-layered commentary on the Hyper Artifice that is Hollywood and the naked pursuit of celebrity. The writing, editing and casting is outstanding. Better, more entertaining than most theatrical releases out there, right now.
Never got into shameless but me and her share the same exact “beauty mark” on the same cheek. I only know about her because of close friends/family saying how I remind them of her. And I took that as a compliment bc I love what she stands for and her work, plus she’s a beaut 💕

That's fantastic that they've made a series about Angelyne - I always found those billboards so mysterious and inexplicable, back in the pre-Internet days. And unlike with most clips they show on talk shows, this one was a great excerpt, and the show looks really good. I wasn't familiar with Emmy Rossum before this, but holy cow, is she yummy! Oh, uh, and seems very talented too!! 😅
So apparently the real angelyne doesn't like how they potray her in this series. She even said emmy has long face. But she still took the money tho lol

Am I the only person who feels she is not the best casting choice--despite her talent? I feel like I'm watching someone impersonate Ang (granted that's truth) as opposed believing I'm watching the person. Even the voice is off. Seems the character is more a caricature. Maybe I was biased though as I read Angelyne's comments on Emmy as her and she felt it was not close to how she presents in real life. She seemed to feel it was condescending. I see that. Casting agents, I'd have thought, would go for Scarlett Johannson or Chloe Sevigny maybe Elizabeth Moss... or a host of others... but this is wayyy to much of a stretch for me.

Angelyne introduced me then married me to my husband from Switzerland and I love her for this. Emmy nails her character... just spot on.
