That's got to be the longest time between two appearances ever. Incredible how the first one still looks like it's from the early 90s. TV sure has come a long way in a short amount of time.
yesman699 you have to remember, in 2005 (when his show started) he was still fairly unnoticed. It wasn't until his eulogy to his father during a monologue, that people started to take notice. After that more and more started to record, download, and torrent his shows. His was the only late night show that you could regularly find, in full, on TH-cam. It's great that Craig is back with a chat show. It's just a shame it's only on Sirus Radio.
@@thomasluby1754 Damn, Thomas Luby, do you live on a different planet or something? I think Emma Rossum is EXTREMELY attractive, and awesomely talented. I would love to see her perform in an opera, and I've never been to an opera in my life!
Well Letterman was the producer of Ferguson's show. And they still replaced Letterman with Colbert. It's clear Ferguson didn't want to go mainstream late night.
Wow. Emmy’s pretty interesting. Didn’t know she was such a child prodigy. And she’s a total nerd too, which is hilarious to see. That second interview, I think she’s just been through the whole oversexualized in Hollywood thing, so she’s kinda trying to ignore Craig’s bawdiness (although she’s game for a little later on!) and trying to have a conversation on her own merits outside of her looks, as an interesting human, which I think she succeeded at. She thinks cats who look like Hitler are funny, Settlers of Catan is cool, and she makes some funny jokes too. She’s got depth, and she has more fun as she gets the spirit of the interview. Cool watch.
As well as Craig does with female guests - drop-dead gorgeous built like brick sh*t house ones preferred - with Emmy (the hands-down winner of the Julia Roberts Smile look-alike contest), I'm afraid Conan has the go-to Rossum appearance on late-night, with her Puccini aria: th-cam.com/video/gaK2chA79jI/w-d-xo.html Addendum: Many dear thanks for the plethora of Late Late Show uploads. Together with QI, they are often my late-night can't-sleep-a-wink TH-cam clips that brighten the coming day.
When hearing Emmy Rossum mentioned, I always think of her aria on Conan. th-cam.com/video/gaK2chA79jI/w-d-xo.html She can certainly have my hot dog (and no, for once in my life this is NOT a double entendre - far, far from it).
Craig said in an interview that it wasn't until he interviewed Archbishop Desmond Tutu that he was truly happy/comfortable with the show and that the interview changed his life and the show for better.
The Raconteur yeah I didn't see the whole interview with him but I saw him talking about it and you could see it really meant a lot for him that experience. And we are really lucky it happened lol
I am surprised that nobody has pointed out that actually she seems a bit 'I am'...very impressed with herself and it's very obvious. Nice girl overall, but she could tone down the self-importance.
I agree 100%. She comes across as very pretentious and arrogant, as did an actress named Maggie Grace ("Taken") I also just watched. All these comments going on and on about how nice Rossum is and how hot she is. There are soooo many other young actresses that are nicer and hitter looking, that Craig has had on. I grew up in the NYC area and when anyone names drops something like the "Upper East Side", it makes me cringe.
I've been watching a lot of videos on this channel recently with the female guests and until now I didn't think it was possible for one of them to barely have any chemistry with Craig. Rossum was A LOT nicer when she was younger, that's for sure.
its simple. Many of the "theatre" actress's/singers, etc are taught to overact when they do their shows, so often when you watch them when they are on talk shows, etc they seem a bit "off" due to the over exaggeration of movements/speech, etc.
She went from a delightful young "woman" to a commanding Hollywood "xxxxx". You fill in the blank. She sure changed a lot (not in a good way for some reason that I can't quite figure out).
She will always be one of my favorite all time actresses. I am literally in love with her.
Emmy is such an adorable woman, and an absolute amazing singer! I have her "Sentimental Journey album", and I love it! 😍😍😍❤❤❤
That's got to be the longest time between two appearances ever. Incredible how the first one still looks like it's from the early 90s. TV sure has come a long way in a short amount of time.
yeah, about the quality thing, yes we've come far, but mind you I don't have access to the real thing, I'm sure it was much better quality originally.
You are right. But the studio and Craig himself also looked like from a long, long time ago. XD
yesman699 you have to remember, in 2005 (when his show started) he was still fairly unnoticed. It wasn't until his eulogy to his father during a monologue, that people started to take notice. Early 90's indeed, I enjoy seeing how Craig evolved to become even better.
It was the HD revolution around 04-06 or whenever it was. Everything before now looks like 1973 😂
She is really great. Beautiful girl who we rarely see these days.
She's funny, geeky and awesome. Why don't we get more celebs like this?
That broad oozes arrogance and pretentiousness. There are soooo many better looking and nicer young actresses on that show.

Love Emmy!
She's perfect! No other comments.
Holy crap!!! It's hard to believe Emmy was only 19 in the first clip.
Craig should've replaced Leno or David when they left. He's so much funnier than anything out today.
Well Letterman was the producer of Ferguson's show. And they still replaced Letterman with Colbert.
It's clear Ferguson didn't want to go mainstream late night.
I'm willing to bet he had so many jokes lined up at the tip of his tongue at 5:07 but she had already called him out seconds prior 😂😂😅
Thought the exact same thing, I think I had many at that point too, lol
She is so delightful.
"You need 10 victory points for that" hahaha Craig is so fast!!!!!!!!
Omg that woman is so beautiful it's unbelievable...damm
wow a settle of catan fan, i'm in love
17:49 I'm not Russian but I'm a Slav and an alcoholic... This joke is extremely on point :D
Haggis is actually quite delicious, I was surprised. It doesn't taste like something weird and exotic, it just tastes good. I recommend it.
She caught the same salmon 40 times who didn't mind being caught because he was a fan of opera.
She is so beautiful and seems very nice and cool.
She is my dream girl
Good.......I'm glad you find her annoying.......more for me.I find her absolutely enchanting.
Risk?Settlers of Catan?Damn my dream girl.
8:45 = Too soon Craig. Emmy recoils. 14:01 = She starts getting into Craig. Good job Craig. Tamed another one.

She was about 16-17 in the first interview. OH MY GOD.
Mateusz Wojciechowski you sure she wasn’t 18?
she was 19
The drinking age in the US is 21
@@sarahsudheer296 no fkn duh genius
There's a couple interviews missing. I think there's one where she's in black. And I think another after that.
Are you sure? I'm highly skeptical about that. I hope you're right tho and I'm interested in finding out.
I believe you're thinking of Conan. Both Craig and Emmy refer to her prior appearance as the one after "Phantom of the Opera."
Cake or Haggis the game show!
Emmy Possum
Strange to see Craig without gray.
Craig: "I'm on the website: 'Men that look like lesbians.'"
Those _are_ lesbians. 😳
lol...40 salmon in one day, it was all the same salmon..
She called it Sall Mun...the idiot!
That's one dumb salmon
Emmy Rossum is lovely. It's no surprise she gets a lot of bites. 🎣
Very sweet young lady!

What movie are they referring to in the second interview?
She somewhat ensembles lizzy caplan
How did u get thru the first interview?
Or the first 4 years
NOW SHOWING
I'd play Settlers of Catan with her. Or Risk. Or whatever...
Was the show like the others at the beginning?
More so in the early days than later on. It morphed more and more into the kind of show that was unique
Yeah I imagine it took him a while to make the show his very own show
Craig said in an interview that it wasn't until he interviewed Archbishop Desmond Tutu that he was truly happy/comfortable with the show and that the interview changed his life and the show for better.

I don't see it. Maybe you guys need to talk to more women. He made her laugh, he made her flirt. It's was a fun interview.
Super hot:)
Gow rude of her not to take a bite if the haggis.
That was rude to refuse the haggis
She's a lot less sweet in her second appearance.

Hair!!!!!

Somehow i find her really annoying and i don't know why.
It annoyed me right at the start when she mistook him for English when he clearly has a Scottish accent

cause this is basically an improv show and she didnt follow the rule of "yes and"
she just kept fucking up the flow
craig did late late as improv however he frequently broke the rule of yes. he has even said you can do improv without saying yes and
Seems like a feminist. Couldn’t take a light joke when Craig was trying to compliment her.

She would be so perfect if it wasn't for her voice
What is ungentlemanly about a compliment?
She's pretty, Pretty obnoxious and stuck up.
After she walks into a doorknob a couple of times, she won't be.
She did look good in that dress in 2nd interview though... dammm
I am sorry but I think she is pretty boring in these interviews.
He's such a creep

Knock, knock.. Who's there? Emmy.. Emmy who? That's show business
