Thank you for answering my question on another video. About this video, is it the next hatch modification you said earlier? Do you also modify the center deck also? Is there any plan that I can follow? Your Tiki 21 is the most unique modified one I found and very inspiring me. Happy sailing and camping. Million thanks in advance!
Hello there. Yes, in that video you can see the most updated version of our boat. We had modified just the cabins and the hatches. But other project modifications like the center deck were made by the previous owner and the builder. Those mods started with simple sketches and because of that, we have no detailed plans. Thanks for your comments. 🙂
O Bimini ficou legal demais. Colocamos ele recentemente. Ainda não deu pra testar com a vela mestre. Talvez funcione usar enquanto veleja a partir da primeira forra de rizo.
Hello! I'm in Thailand and planning on a boat build. I have been seriously considering the Tiki 26', but it's actually larger than I want. But the 21' is smaller than I want. But your 21' looks to be set up better than the other ones I have seen. Ideally a 24' footer is right where I want to be at for length. Anyway, I love your boat and your videos. I also just want a camper-cruiser but one that can handle short open water passages between islands. It has to have an ultra shallow draft and be beachable, hence the reason for my interest in Wharrams Tiki series. Thank you for your efforts! Fairwinds.
Thanks for your comment. The Tiki 21 it's an amazing project. We just change the headroom to have more comfort during the nights. By the way, she also maintain her seafare qualities and manouverabilitie.
@@tikinomade Did you do the initial build? Or did you buy the boat and then modify it? I'm seriously looking at building one. I was formerly a professional boat builder in America. But never built a wood/composite boat or a Catamaran. I have build plans for about a hundred different boats that I've been collecting for years. It's only now that I actually gave the time and resources to build one. I'm thinking that the Wharram Mana 24' is probably the one I would want to build. But the plans are over 1000 pounds. 1000pounds goes a long way towards materials here in Thailand. Hell, that would just about cover the expense of the marine ply for the build! 6mm Hard wood Marine ply from Indonesia is only $31.00USD per sheet here (4x8). And Teak and other exotics are native species here and pretty cheap. I hate to just throw away $1000 bucks on some paper.
Hi. Yes, We bought the boat and then modified her. Your choice is a great and very capable project (Mana 24'). I wish you luck during this journey. Please, let us know when you start the construction.
That boat was made by other person. But if you want to make one like that consider buy a study plan at the Wharram site. it's the best way to know how much money you'll spend.

Que legal ficou o espaco interno!
E o bimini funcionou bem para a proteção do sol. Da para usar ele com o barco velejando?

@@tikinomade Thank you for your response. Yes, I see that you gave some more height to the cabin tops. How long did it take you to build?
Working some hours per day, five days per week, that modification took us two months.

Hi, nice boat! I own a Tiki21 for myself and I'm curious about your bimini as I'm planning to install one. Can you tell me the dimensions please?
Hi. The arc is 1,80 x 1,22 meters. But I guess you better get your boat measurements to have a bimini that fit perfectly.
@@tikinomade Thanks for your answer! Of course I will measure first before buying one, just wanted to know if yours is not a custom made one.
I love your boat. I love coffee. I love your life. BUT!!! get a travel kettle.
Thanks. We are about to make some improvements to our boat. Maybe it will be a good option for boiling water.
@@tikinomade a travel kettle is basically a thermos with a battery an the cost 30 bucks
Nice. We'll take a look. Sounds good. :)
@@tikinomade How much did it cost to make your little beauty?

Could you give a reference to this support boat?
O barco de apoio é um projeto gratuito chamado 'apple pie'. Fiz esse bote no ano passado.
