You asked and we did. This video is a short slideshow about the modification that we did in our sailboat (Tiki 21 catamaran). The project was to improve the cabin to be more comfortable not just for sailing but also for enjoying/sleeping inside the cabin. Sim, altas aventuras. Estava na região entre paraty e Ilha Grande. Atualmente to procurando um Cruiser 18, também existe um tiki 21 que to namorando rsrs enfim, viver a bordo pra mim é a melhor vida, viver em terra é sofrer.
O marreco 16 é um ótimo veleiro. Fique a vontade para deixar cometários e responderei assim que possível.
Sensacional! Uma pergunta, o Nômade tem motor de popa?
Usamos um mercury 5hp. Pra o Nômade (Tiki 21) esse motor dá conta tranquilamente.

Hi, nice boat! I own a Tiki21 for myself and I'm curious about your bimini as I'm planning to install one. Can you tell me the dimensions please?
Hi. The arc is 1,80 x 1,22 meters. But I guess you better get your boat measurements to have a bimini that fit perfectly.

I should have done that modification on my tiki21. Great sailer, but no room in the cabins. I sold the boat instead and always regretted that decision.
Yeah. That mod gave us much more comfort.
not sure mr wharram would approve, but a good deve[opment of his design.

Algumas vezes usamos um esquema com cabos e elásticos também. Mas esse piloto serve muito bem pra algumas ocasiões.

Yeah! The autopilot may be better for our sailing place sometimes. But we think about windvane for long passages. =)
Couldn’t you have just hooked it up to the arm of the tiller?
I'd like it if could be as simple as that. But to work properly, the autopilot have a correct distance between the rudder stock center line and the tiller connection point.

Awesome, being able to comfortably sit up inside it’s a game changer. Especially when the weather’s bad or you’re out for several days/weeks in a row.

@@tikinomade I'm not much of a videographer, but I am taking lots of pictures of the various stages of work. Right now I'm building a Gothic arch boat shed to work in, it's winter here, so it's been cold and snowy, and I have a full time job. But I'm working on trying to do some basic video work now.

How’s the tiki 21 compared to this one
It's hard to compare. They are quite different vessels and we used to sail this 16ft monohull at the lake. But, long story short, I feel safer at Tiki 21 in all conditions, and we can beach her (is an amazing advantage). Thanks for your comments.

Beautiful videos. But what about sailing abilities of yiur modifications? Does the increased center of gravity and windage due to increased height of cabins, affect negatively sailing?
The changes are too small to make a significant difference.

Do you trailer the tiki 21 when not using it?
We have a mooring ball. It's easier to handle.
Every time I see a Catamaran I think of Kevin Costner in Waterworld.
Same here. It´s a big reference of our imaginary. Nômade had some modifications, but nothing even close to that trimaran.
