    Great truck, I have a 68 f250 that I put on a 79 4x4 chassis. Restored this past December. 8yrs worth of work. Same color with a white top.

    This is an honest example of an older truck that u know what your getting, no bog job repairs, no rust in body or cab only surface rust and a bit of patina and it looks as though it hasnt had a hard life and its extremely rare to find an example like this truck , as they say there only original once. You could restore this truck easily but all very well but the best thing is to leave it how it is because if you restore it it will loose its originality and wont have the history or story to tell,great original truck bro and keep it that way its only original once.

    I like these older trucks way better then the new ones. I've own a few of them and regret selling them. Axle ratio on the front is a slightly higher so it pulls the back and help the steering, but is not good to stay in 4 wheel drive on pavement for too long. It will wear out everything faster and is hard on gas. Love the video.

    Nice. Just pulled the money out for a lunar green '67 250 just like this, albeit with more rust on the body and bed, none on the hood. Picking it up tomorrow.

    Not sure about 1968, But split rims were on the 16 inch rim later. My dad's cousin bought one new in 1972 and came with 16 inch split rim. My dad bought a new 1970 with 16.5's and they were standard rim. Those large tires help you get up to highway speed because if you had standard 235 85 R16 tires, you would barely make it to 60mph if that has 4:11 gears.

    Do the odometers on these old trucks go up to 99,999.9 or 999,999 I bought one that showed roughly 113000 when I bought it. I'm not too familiar with old trucks yet.

    • @blueovalranch
      @blueovalranch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are only a 5 digit Odometer so only goes up to 99999 then rolls over to 00000, then 00001 etc. This was true I believe in Ford trucks all the way up til the late 80’s.
