I took my dog for one final walk before she had to be put to sleep the next morning. She couldn't walk so I carried her around the park. It was late and the sky looked like the ending scene of Vanilla Sky. I remembered this song so I played it on my phone while I set her on the grass where I'd let her run all her life. Thanks for uploading this.
I remember taking my Jack Russell called Lola for the longest walk she'd ever had on the night before we had to re- home her, she tried to attack our granddaughter and we couldn't put up with that. I cried my eyes out and i still love her til this day. It was a life lesson i suppose. I couldn't put our dog before our granddaughter. We've got 2 beautiful dogs now and our 2 grandchildren love them. Enjoy Sigur Ros ❤❤🎵🎶👍🏻👍🏻
Across the rainbow Bridge, she is restored in all ways, a beautiful field playing again with many new friends-a future moment she will see your spirit presence for eternal peace the story will continue. Blessings 🐾 🙏
@Monika Szymanowska well vanilla sky is the American adaptation of the film, don’t get me wrong both are great but the adaptation is more solid with cinematography and acting
@@acamelwholikescoke4641 I agrre, both are good, it's just that Cruise is so obviously typecast as the rich&beautiful:-). With the fresh face of the other actor the story seemed to be a little more unpredictable, magic and sophisticated - or because I watched that first?
For years I’ve searched for this song!! For years!!! I finally found it! This song allows me to let it all out and let it all go!!! It’s as if it was made especially for the pain we can’t face inside the pain that runs deep in our souls....
@Hasan....Thank you for that statement....For some, struggling with great disappointments and pain is a lifelong challenge, and struggle. Some people are able to do life so much better than others. How some people are able to get through certain things in life I just do not know.
I feel exactly the same , but I don't understand why. I rented this movie with my girlfriend who's now my wife when it first came out and we laid on the couch together and I even played back this song a couple of time to hear it again. Maybe it just symbolizes youth for me because I never worried about a thing then but I do now.
I travelled through light) (I travelled through light; I am not afraid) (In this lake of souls) (In this lake of souls, I lose all fear) The reiteration makes it both soothing and compelling. It appeals to me. Thank you for sharing the translation, Keith Taggart. It can accompany the state of nirvana.
Hello Nada! Jónsi sang the lyrics of ( ) entirely in "Vonlenska" ("Hopelandic"), a made-up "language" which consists of meaningless words and syllables. So that text is something someone made up and everyone thought it made sense! :)
You travel to Heaven Paradise or you descend to the bottomless pit where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth and screams choose Christ your only Hope
This song represents par excellence the meaning of the last scene of vanilla sky. A sweet calm product of acceptance and resignation, with a hint of sadness paradoxically fused with happiness. Wake up the feeling that all finally over
Seclude yourself for a few hours. Breathe in fresher air. Allow tears to silently flow down your cheeks, letting go of the things that have been building up and don't fit inside you anymore. Close your eyes and listen to your surroundings. Recite a poem, say a prayer. Walk in the rain. Let the wind surround you. Keep breathing; out with the bad, in with the good. Let pain escape, because it isn't meant to be locked away. Listen to this song the whole time.

It kinda had a large effect on my life as well. Heard the song when I first saw the movie during nasty withdrawals from kicking Heroin. This song and the movie helped get me through it.
This is the single most powerful piece of music that I've ever listened to. It's accompanied me to the depths of deep depression and it has lifted me to moments of sheer indescribable joy. This song is what I imagine will be playing when I enter the gates of heaven....

Regretfully, no. All the little, what we think to be insignificant, or ritual, are the most beautiful. The most wonderful of memories. What we once had, that is no longer. I can't wait to see my parents tomorrow, and tell them how much I love them.
I played this music to my plants 😊❤️ 🌱 Love them, the best thing is that this music help me to relax and to my plants being healthy and stronger, I see a big difference. I recomend you 100% 😍

Yes. Sleeping deep and awakening into beautiful sunshine, a life of possibility, not fearing the pain or the memories anymore. Spirits joining from across vast distances, through countless lives. I will find you in dreams.
This song, maybe more than any song I've ever heard, somehow contains within it EVERY SINGLE emotion I've ever felt, including the vast awe I feel toward the terrifying mystery of existence and reality itself. All that.....in one song. Sven-f-englar and Untitled #4 are close contenders. But this track......fucking hell. I'm done.
I've noticed that this song reminds so many of their lost loved ones, and while I have also lost friends and family members, I don't get that feeling from this song ... even with +Keith Taggart's offered translation ... I do get a feeling of traveling between worlds, but not birth and death as we usually relate to it. For me, it's more of a feeling of traveling between states of mind; or different levels of consciousness ... from darkness into light. Whatever it is, I love this so very much; it's so comforting.
This song reminds me time and time again that no matter what we do, no matter who we are, our fate will never change. Fake smiles don't hide the sadness, nor will they ever.
I believe I spelled the word "fate" correctly. I never intended on using the word "faith" - as you say. There's a big difference between the two words....just saying.
