    Great video! Going to get the S21 simply for its size, it's still larger than my current iPhone X. Hopefully in the future, Samsung will have an ultra model in a smaller size the way Apple has a smaller Pro model and then the Pro Max. Either way, I'm still looking forward to being back on Android after a couple years of trying out an iPhone

    Great comparison, thanks. I want to point out another difference between the regular S21 and the S21+ that no reviews mention. The S21 has much worse haptics than the other two. The S21+ and the Ultra both use better motors, but also have a dedicated controller chip that provides strong and crisp haptic feedback. On the other hand, the base S21 has a different motor but more importantly, it does not have a dedicated controller chip. Haptic feedback when typing or using gestures is mushy and buzzy by comparison. This is another noticeable downgrade over the prior S20, which has the same motor as the S21, but also has the same dedicated controller as the S21+ and Ultra.

      Yeah I saw someone else say this too. I must admit that I didn’t really notice during my time with the phones - but good to point out for others so thank you 👌🏼

      S21+ and S21 don't have WQHD+ SCREEN RESOLUTION DISPLAY so suck compared to S20+ but then I have SD Card Slot and NFC too

    • @anthonylawson518
      @anthonylawson518 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why does one like the haptic feedback? When I touch my phone, I don't want to hear any sounds or feel anything. I also don't use the vibration settings for anything. I have always been that way...is there any benefits, or is it just a preference?

    Best review and best comparison i ve seen. I have S21. Highly recommended for its compact size. Very easy to hold and use with single hand. Getting 6-6.30 screen time and its fairly enough for me. Hope there will be a smaller ultra version in future

    I’m 100 percent all for not receiving a charger in the box, because I’ve had a hundred Samsung phones before so I have heaps of chargers laying around and it’s better for the environment. However, I think that if you’re new to android or Samsung phones I feel that you should be given the option to at least buy a charger at half price or some sort of discount. Making someone pay upwards of a $1k for a phone and then saying you need to spend another $50 for a charger is a big fuck you. I don’t like that. It’s cheeky, it’s greedy.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really glad you share that view, the more people that do, the better for the environment! 👊🏼 I think Samsung have discounted the chargers a little bit to try and make up for it. But it's always hard when price comes into it, because companies could argue they made the phones cheaper (e.g. ~$50) and therefore the price of the charger is already accounted for. There's no way for us to really say whether they have or not because they can set the price at whatever they like!
      I guess we should just remember you can buy any third party charger you like if you still need one, of which there are many high quality and cheaper options!

    After seeing many TH-cam reviews, this is one of the BEST to compare the 3 S21 cameras and also the prior versions. Well Done 👍 I was in a predicament where our S7 cpus fried itself and then having to decide between the S20s and the S21s and in the end, we ended up with the S21+ - mainly for the larger battery and larger screen without going $$$ for the Ultra. We had to get 2 phones so the $$$ adds up so that was a major consideration. Our S7s match up with the smaller S21 so it was also time for something slightly bigger than what we had as long as it still fits in our pockets - S21+
    The S21+ is definitely a step up from the S7s. Now, I just need to figure out the camera resolution especially with the panoramic (use FULL or 16:9) that I often do. My old S7 has different resolutions with the 16:9 mode so I need adjust for this in the new S21+. Lastly, the lack of micro SD has had me to rethink my storage but I am getting a USB-C SD card reader as I had a nice 126 Gb SD in my S7. So far, the S21+ is a delight to use. Thanks again for this great review!

    I just got the s21 and after coming off s7 edge for 5.5 yrs, it's good enough for me. I'm not much of a phone user anyways. I watch videos on my laptop in the living room and on my tablet in bed. I take my tablet with me on the go, too. I don't think most people will notice much between cameras. And you can tweak what you need in editing. Then again, I grew up with the Kodac Instamatic, lol. I like the size of the s21 because the size is similar to the s7.

    Great review. T-mobile had a recent promo offering $800 trade in credit on the S21. I traded my sons old Pixel 3a & received the full $800 credit which I applied to the S21 which was $799 so I got it for free! I looked at the Ultra but the extra features that I would never use wasn't worth the extra $400. I really like the Plus but I moved away from large phones a few years ago with my LG G8 that was the perfect size for me & my use. The S21 is physically the same size as my G8 with a little bit bigger screen. I love the weight & size of the S21. I hate glass back phones anyway so the plastic was perfect for me since the phone feels lighter. I put a Spiegen case on it within a couple days so the fact that it's plastic is undetectable anyway. The phone so far had been awesome! How Samsung got such big sound with Dolby Atmos out of such a little device is AMAZING! Both of the S21s are great so you can't go wrong with either...pick the right size for you and you'll be extremely happy 😁

    Beautiful video my friend!!! All the way from Nepal... Very pleasing voice and great video...i was sad why S21+ is not great as ultra...but now after i saw this video i think i will be more happy to buy S21+ rather than ultra...it's too much big, heavy, costly, curve edge, doesn't even look like a phone and S21+ camera's are extremely close to ultra's cameras, that's great! For a month or so ultra might give us a premium feeling but due to its so big and heavy we might sometimes feel irritated and if we put cover on it then it's a monster....i shall happily buy S21+, what do you say?? and thanks bro ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I really don't have a problem with them getting rid of the chargers and headphones. Almost everybody has too many chargers, and if not... They're easy to get. On the headphones side, nobody's gonna use ones that come with a phone. I understand that a charger is actually required to use a phone though. Also they have no excuse for throwing apple under the bus for this and then doing it themselves.

    Stupid question but I have the S7 and came across a good deal from one of the carriers yesterday plus my wife got a cheaper galaxy that year in 2016 and has wanted to get a nicer phone for years lol.
    I am only concerned /asking about the resolution and colors which I love on mine. I only am on the internet on mine. No movies/games
    After researching the last two days it seems like their would be minimal/ if any difference in the picture quality of the S21 ( not ultra) and my S7 BECAUSE of the screen size.
    Plus ( here comes the dumb part) I read that the S7's came set at FHD not QHD so I looked at that setting for the 1st time in 4 years and it was true.
    I set it to QHD and bounced around different websites, read text but couldn't see the difference( people on reviews are claiming even text is not as high quality) .
    So going up 1.2 inches ( to 6.2) would that make a difference in picture quality ?
    My S7 has 576 ppi . The S21 has 421ppi.
    Does the ppi matter anyway as I never had mine on QHD anyway ?
    Has anybody ever" really " tested the colors of previous years.
    Why would Samsung have less ppi in the S21 plus than in the cheaper S21.
    Sorry and thanks .
    I am confined to home after a major knee surgery and cannot look at phone in person.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a stupid question! It's essentially just a case of the resolution not being the only factor (so ppi isn't everything). The quality of the display can vary, the colour reproduction can, the chipset changes things, brightness...
      It's like having a camera and only looking at the megapixel count - many other factors play into the final image quality! So in short: the display of the S21 is much better in overall quality. However, the S7 has a technically higher resolution screen because it's 1440p rather than 1080p (S21) and that's why the ppi is higher.
      Like you said though, not everyone will notice this! But you may notice other improvements (like the brightness and high refresh rate) by getting the S21!

    A BIG thanks to Samsung for scrapping the glass back on the S21 for a far superior plastic back! Plastic is lighter, much more flexible, more damage proof and much less expensive to repair or replace than glass. Plastic also feels more premium to the touch. It resists fingerprints better too. For the few who have been brainwashed into thinking that glass is somehow better than plastic - just put a case on your phone!

    "Durability difference"? I would say that the polycarbonate back on the S21 will over time be MORE durable than a glass back (i.e. no cracking) WAY too much focus on the plastic back - I might even call it an upgrade.

    Great content, thank you! I honestly cannot see any difference between the Note 10+ 's 1440p display and the S21+'s 1080p display in terms of sharpness. I own them both. I believe the Note's display is also 1080p and the 1440p is a software enhancement. On the Note (and the S21 Ultra), you cannot really shut down pixels to go to a 720p display or lit up some more pixels to get a 1440p starting from the base 1080p the phone is set out of the box. Otherwise, the S21+ has a better display. Brighter, better color calibrated and with no reddish tint on the whites.

    As much of a Samsung fan I am, and don't get me wrong I absolutely love my S21 plus, but my issue is if I'm paying a $1,000 for a phone you should at least provide a charger and headphones. Phone companies just want to make a profit wherever they can these days.

      I do understand this completely, and no doubt that every smartphone company is saving money from this choice. But I personally think it’s great we’re all cutting down on e waste - that’s something I’d be happy to pay a bit extra for if needed!

      @@insidetechltd there is no saving on the waste by not including a charger with the phone..by the time you buy a charger you have twice the packaging waste compared to the charger being included within the phones packaging box..Samsung is not including a charger because they are cheap..it's certainly not to save on packaging waste.

    • @insidetechltd

      True…if every single person went and bought an extra charger after buying the phone. But people don’t. They’re using their existing chargers. Not all, but enough are. So it does still help the environment.

      a dozen chargers in my drawer, but still I bought new charger and another longer cord and headset....all of which was in its own separate box..so I had 4 boxes with the packings to throw away with my new phone purchase. I bought a new charger with my new phone because the new ones charge faster and older chargers seem to degrade and lose charging speed over time...had to buy headsets because Samsung doesnt include them anymore like they did with my S7.
