I've watched every Patriots game from start to finish. These are my 2 takes:
#1. The offensive line is one of the worst in the league and Mac just doesn't have much time back there.
#2. When Mac does have time to throw, he simply just doesn't have the arm strength to hit those long developing routes and oftentimes goes for the quick easy underneath or checkdowns. So this is not on Bill O'Brien because Mac just doesn't have that arm talent and the offensive line is horrible therefore you have to use a very limited play-calling book.

As a Pats fan, Multiple things are true here: Yes Mac has been playing sub par and deserves some criticism. Yes, the organization has mishandled his growth with the disaster that was last years coaching staff. Yes, he has no TRUE #1 WR and the O-line with the exception of yesterday has been hot garbage and finally YES, he has seen some unfair criticism from the media and the Pats fan base itself. He's not Patrick Mahomes but he is a helluva lot better than he's been playing recently and he showed it yesterday. He's just got nothing to work with and he's not good enough to overcome the shortcomings of the team. None of those things are mutually exclusive. This Pats team has potential but they have a long, long road ahead of them. They need to seriously bolster that offense.

Patriots fan. Stop with the excuses. Mac has not been unfairly treated at all. He's started every game for 3 seasons. He's 18-20 in that time with 43 TDs, 31 INTs, 14 Fumbles (66% competition). Add that he has awful body language, throws tantrums on the sidelines and has not made a single teammate better. This is absolutely his last year in New England.

Overall, Cam was better. Julian Is left Cam by himself & only helped in 6 games, total.

I figured we were gonna hit rock bottom at somepoint this year and those last three games must've been it because the Patriots did an outstanding job steering back into the right direction. Granted, we got a long LOOONNNGGG way back to the top to make it back to Brady-Belichick but this is a key step forward. Now onto Miami.
He has been unfairly criticized and as a Patriots fan its been mostly by our own fan base. I dont care if you want to point out his mistakes. There are plenty of times in which he has made a bad decision trying to do too much. But you cant ignore the multitude of other factors around him whom have absolutely destroyed his mechanics, footwork and confidence. Hard to win games when you are running for your life and your No.1 reciever either cant stay healthy and or cant get open.

Brady in his final year with the Patriots had the worse receiving core in football. But they still went 12-4, and made playoffs / Winning there division as well.

We had the #1 ranked defense in the nfl that year lol. Our defense is always around top 5 but that season it was the highest ranked defense and it definitely carried us to the playoffs lol

Shannon was 100%. If the coach pulled you on more than one occasion, it is not your year. But you can have good moments. In defense though, I do agree that it’s not all his fault.
Bill said in the presser that he was pulled because it was a lost game and he didn’t want Mac Injured. He said that if he left Mac in and he was injured then the media would have dragged him the same way they dragged him for pulling Mac.
Mac played great against Philly and Miami. Gave them chances to win to start the season then their entire team shat the bed taking bad bad losses. Max has 0 help. Juju has no knee. The best receiver he's had was a starting QB in college and never scored 1TD in a Patriots uniform in 4 years. I'm not a huge fan of Mac but let's be serious, they were calling him the next Tom Brady in that system his rookie year and look at the foolishness they put around him.

This team has no talent, Belichick needs to be fired, Jones is not the answer, and this team is still not making the playoffs.

Dude Cams arm was done by then and he lost a lot of his athleticism which made him great. He played 15 games and threw for 8 tds and 3 were in the last game.
Cam had 21 total tds man. He had 3200 total tds. He had 12 TDs rushing tds which was the most by a Quarterback in 2020. They gave Cam hardly no help. Cam was re-signed, too!

I will say the Buffalo Bills have been pretty inconsistent this year. However, there was a key play in the fourth quarter that changed this game, illegal man downfield penalty was called on third down. but the penalty flag was picked up and there was no discussion to why. the replay shows offensive lineman was 10 yards downfield.
That was on 1st down bruh. Also the refs always call some bs on the Pat's so we deserved one back

In his three seasons he’s never had any reliable receiving options other than jakobi meyers who the patriots let go. Three offensive coordinators in three seasons isn’t a recipe for success for a young QB.

Stephen A brought up an excellent point about players drafted by the Patriots that have made a Pro Bowl. That is a red flag within the organization! Drafting, scouting, and development has not looked good in New England.
