im not an expert by any means but i also like tinkering with my scooter and i think that your engine isnt getting enough fuel so try installing a bigger main jet in your carb
If you take the flywheel cover off, there are little marks on the flywheel. one has a T next to it, you line that up with the arrow on the case and check to see if your timing chain circle is lined up with the top and you will know it's in top dead center.
Also I always mark the chain to the cam with paint so when you reassemble there is no question you are dead on tooth for tooth on your timing. Even if you change your cam you can transfer the mark to your new cam.
I've done the 100cc bore kit on my ICEBEAR Maddog and I set the intake at .003 and the exhaust at .004 and it started right away. I first set it at .004 both top and bottom wouldn't start. As I said before I went to .003 on intake and it fired right up
I also noticed if you push the cylinder down onto the new piston , you may move the timing , so supporting the piston from below is a must when forcing the new cylinder onto the new piston.
I got a question i did a 100cc big bore kit and 150cc carb with it idk if thats ok. What jets would i need cause i got a low throttle bog. Qmb139 engin. Also what size in diameter is the jet. Right now 103 main jet. And i think 31 or 33 idle jet.
was wondering if after that you changed the displacement of 50cc to 100cc of the scooter if the connecting rod did it withstand the pot? because the pressure will be well may.
When doing a 100cc big bore kit on a 50cc scooter you should always upgrade your carb. Clutch spring. And variator. Also upgrade to a stroker Crankshaft. You can go on eBay and get a stroker Crankshaft for $189.99. Strongly recommend doing this.
its better of course but theres no need, i have done this but then 80cc.. left everything stock even the main jet.. airfilter and exaust.. and it started right up after kicking 5 times
TDC is on the flywheel behind the shroud (plastic cover) it's marked just behind the magneto with a line that lines up with a spot on your block...never seen the screwdriver trick. Also you can check the valves.. .if they're loose just a CH chances are your TDC.
The issue might be you moved your timing off with your chain check that one tooth may be off. The second issue is the amount of gas you are feeding it. Look at the Air Fuel Mixture Screw and adjust it for the sweet spot.
The piston wrist pin clips actually have an outside and inside. The middle portion you grab with your pliers should be installed so the circle of the clip is the only part that comes in contact with the pin. The middle portion actually is bent to one side, and that side should face outward or it will come in contact with the wrist pin first and can actually dislodge the clip if installed backwards!!! Got this info from a TH-cam Harley mechanic.
When putting a big bore kit...you have to give it a break in a break-in period of at least 300 to 500 miles of no more then half throttle . If not going back and forth doing it over is what you will be doing. This also equal to 3 to 4 full tanks of fuel used .
@@96cr well that just shows how much you know about doing mechanic. And that's 0 percent. You need to stick to what you know, go back up on the porch and have a set.

Hey brother, a question, I have a 50cc scooter and I plan to put the 100cc kit on it, I would have to change the cylinder head-cylinder head, or I could use the same one.
You can used the same head make sure you used the gaskets that come with the kit... a good set up is 47mm A9 cam #88 jet NCY coil and CDI rollers light weight parson 7.5g heavy parson go with 5.5 or 6.5g rollers intake .004 ex .005 Clutch stock works good with out over heat in the motor... get you about 49mph next to a car

Adjust the idle by hand while it's getting kicked, I had this problem. Once started, attempt to let off. Remember, your compression is going to be intense. I killed my starter.
Would this still count as 50cc on paper? Im buying a scooter with an upgraded kit for my lil cuz and he only has a permit. Nys allows people to drive scooters up to 50cc with a permit.
