More people will become poor and the cost of living for others will rise and quality of life for others will go down. St Pete is an overpriced shit hole and it is too crowded. As far as the projects, I think they pretty much tore them all down.

Good video, but you should talk to people. You will truly never get to know a city until you talk to its people. As for people being conscientious of you driving around with the camera and you calling people from Saint Pete the most “camera aggressive”. Doesn’t surprise me, most are just aware of their surroundings.

Grew up in St. Pete. The Old NE is a nice area. Lots of pricey homes there. Azalea/Tyrone are more middle class. Maxixmo's Point area and even Gulfport waterfront are worth considering. Then there's Boca Ciega Bay. If you live around the Azalea/Tyrone/Park Street neighborhoods, you are w/in minutes of John's Pass/Madeira, St. Pete Beach or Treasure Island. Stay away from Pinellas Park or South of 34th Street and MLK. For the most part where I lived was pretty safe. And when I left in 2002-2003, I was living in the Coachman area. A five minute drive from downtown. The main park downtown can be a little sketchy at night.

It's the ONLY normality in my life having a small Facebook. I DO TRY to reply to AS MANY comments as i can on the YOU-TUBE. The G friendly places are also the worst traffic and crime for some reason not sure the exact cause. ORLANDO TAMPA very G friendly but.. umm also very high crime. I don't think people REALLY CARE what other people are in most of Florida. Perhaps avoid NORTH RURAL Florida?? not sure. I think people in Florida are not hostile to anyone. I think most G areas are EXPENSIVE and CRIME .. do.. if you want safe and affordable.. you may not end up in the most "friendly" area. But, like I said I dont see why anyone would NOT be friendly? People dont really discriminate I mean i dont so i dont know why others?? Florida is diverse all over. I think overall your orientation should NOT be an issue anywhere.. why would it be? if you want to be in a community for G than thats NOT CHEAP.. they are ALL expensive areas.. Melbourne is NICE so is PALM BAY.

Pauline, you should be fine finding a house for 250. I bought a 2/2 for 210k last year. If you are concerned about crime, just use a crime map along with your search and stay east of 275 and north of downtown. Other areas are safe too, I have just found that to be the trend for safety, but I know plenty of others who live elsewhere and haven't had any issues. It looks like what you are describing is Gulfport, which is not in the area I mentioned. You will hear a variety of things from different people. Your best bet is to try and meet some of the neighbors and they can give you the low-down on the neighborhood. It has a very nice little downtown district on its own (very quaint) with many gay people.

it's not a "hood mentality" it's systemic racism and segregation. google the lawsuit against pinellas county schools where they found that black and brown kids were being removed from classes. big school to prison pipeline issues here.

I have grand children, I don’t want some guy filming the streets where they are. It’s an infringement on peoples privacy and compromising the safety and welfare of the homes. It’s not real estate, they don’t know your not a couple of child snatchers or casing properties. You should have a licence to film private homes, you can’t do that with a drone!

Tell the whole truth about us. You drove through a district with history and relevance beyond your imagination with black excellence worthy of a movie. I get the feeling you do that a lot. Don't sleep on The Deuces!!! Find out about us, then put some RESPECT on our name❤
