I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. When I helped my buddy with his outdoor kitchen he just hooked it up to his hose and had it run into a barrel inside the cabinet and he would then either dump it or drain it into an actual sink inside. Depending on what was cleaned in the sink that day. Mostly it was for hand washing so he just dumped it into the yard.

You did a great job! Not criticism, just for future... when using metal lath, you should staple every 2"-4". and it is best practice to use a liquid membrane after the mortar fill because you are puncturing the waterproofing with the nails or staples when you attach the lath to the OSB. But again, love the project man! youre awesome.

So the cost for him at the end was 1,774.00 but it would cost really around 2,500.00 if you want to make it, but if anyone tries this awesome cool project and has hook-ups as well with supplies or you already have the supplies then it will obviously be cheaper, but from scratch, with no hook-ups on supplies it is realistically around 2,500.00 + for this project. It came out looking awesome. I am thinking about doing this project. Love watching these DIY projects that inspire me to do something similar. 😁

Awesome video! It really helped inspire me to hopefully doing something like this at my house. The only thing I would consider doing differently is buying a y adapter for a garden hose outlet and then using a quick disconnect at the hose spigot and then using a whip hose to connect that to the back of the cabinet by drilling a hole where you can put a quick disconnect coupler there. That way it is easier to utilize the faucet and it still remains mobile because of how easy it is to disconnect the hose. Then you only need one bucket for the wastewater.

    1. You’re going to hate that grey water system, I know from experience cuz I build custom rvs😂.
    2. Just buy and electric pump and install a cool lit up switch.
    3. You may be happier just buying 2 30 gallon tanks because the grey is going to fill up quick and you will constantly have to clean it out. But at that point you may as well run extensions and just connect into the homes plumbing system for grey and fresh 😅

TX.... 41 days for continuous 100 degree + days and counting. Only like 8 weeks of this left.... ;-/ In North TX the humidity is pretty medium. Go east or south for the same temps and more humidity. Go west for less humidity. Just nasty hot. Thankfully I work inside!

Real question, but instead of OSB+Membrane+Lath+cement, wouldn't it be way more practical and equally good to simply use a cement board over the 2x4s?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Would certainly be more weather resistant if done that way.

Is just the same like your house is made with 2x4 they are not pressure treated just the ones in the bottom

Just a fireplace guy here. In the process of doing my own backyard over. Couple of concerns. Traeger, who makes the grill ON THE FIRST PAGE of the installation manual, says 20" clearance to combustibles behind the BBQ. Kind of scary. All I'm saying is that I hope you read this. So, that's the first fire hazard I see, and I just don't want people to copy that type of stuff, it hurts the entire industry.
Second Concern, On your initial intro I noticed the direct vent fireplace cap directly under your outdoor TV. The exhaust coming out of the cap is extremely hot 4-600 degrees F at least according to most manufacturers. I am curious if the television has melted yet. Typically you can't have a soffit or overhang anything within 18" of the top of the termination cap because of heat. Electronics and plastic. I can't imagine that made it.
The real reason I bring this up is because as much as I am a DIY guy, over the years I've learned to at least consult a professional with my design. Especially when it comes to anything that can burn down my house. If you don't at least read the entire manual or at the very least the big bold ones that say FIRE HAZARD - Stay safe everyone.
    Owners Manual for reference: traegergrills.a.bigcontent.io/v1/static/2023_Timberline_OM_ENGLISH
Who knows, maybe I just saved a family. So maybe not, just a fireplace guy. 🤔
