Hi Nicole - That was a fabulous video. Yummy and thrifty. I loved every idea. I have a funny story: for 30 years I made a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It took me 2 weeks to prepare, 6 hrs to make and 15 minutes to eat. (we're fast eaters). And 2 days to clean up. Then on year 31 I'm talking to my hubby and he tells me he doesn't really care for turkey. WHAT! So now I buy two rotisserie chickens from Costco, make or buy some mashed potatoes and focus on dressing which was always our favorite. Dinner is ready in 30 minutes tops, we clean up in 10 and still have some leftovers. Thanks for all the tips and happy Thanksgiving. Love PegEgg
BEST video. Humanitarian, thoughtful. This is how Denise REALLY says, "YOU CAN COOK THIS." Being grateful through food and gathering doesn't need to put your family back. Presentation and fanfare is never what ANY holiday is about. Not being lovingly together is what sets us back.
Nicole,,,,,, you are the best! There is not a video that you make that I don't learn something or you have a great ideas! I can't say enough about you... Thank you! God Bless you again!!🤗💜
Nicole last yr after thanksgiving i bought 2 extra boxes of turkey stove top stuffing for this thanksgiving just incase i couldn't find any. I started using stove top because it's got all the seasoning in it.even though i like to add more sage to my stuffing. And since the beginning of this yr when walmarts canned pumpkin came back on the shelves i bought 6 cans of pumpkin. Thanks for your videos!!!
Even cheaper than your sausage and rice, make dirty rice with cheap ground beef or ground turkey. all you need is bell pepper, celery, onion and rice or just buy the dirty rice mix if you are cooking-challenged. Also, fancy-up stovetop stuffing mix with diced apples and smoked sausage or bacon.
Aldi has turkey for $.88 now. Pumpkin dessert use that jack-o'-lantern you didn't carve. Just bake, process and drain. Has worked for me for years for everything pumpkin.
Thank You for sharing. All of your recipes . And how to save money . We all need . To save on our grocery bills . You And Family. Enjoy your Thanksgiving .
I like what you said about going with the flow. One year, the green beans (for casserole) were looking pretty rough so I substituted chopped asparagus in the same size and it became am even better recipe. We still call it Green Bean casserole but its really asparagus lol
I love all of your videos. You are so good and what you do and informative, but most importantly, you make me laugh because you act silly like I do with my mom, kids and closest friends. I also need to tell you that that green you are wearing in this video is your color. You look beautiful in it!
Great video and excellent ideas. I actually only ever use canned cranberry sauce, and store brands do not mean sacrificing quality as it once did. Walmart, Aldi and most supermarkets do not have their own factories for producing private label goods. They are supplied by the big names or by companies that specialize in producing national brand equivalent products.
SHe is so right. I did buy canned cranberry sauce which we love. But, for the first time ever I made (attempted to make) my own cranberry sauce. I was shocked how easy this actually was. I don't why people make this so complicated. Like it's so hard/impossible to do.
My father's mother the only thing anyone ever asked her to bring was the ritz cracker pie. She was a terrible cook. I remember it was on the Ritz box forever. Thanks for the great tips.
What seasoning do you put on a Turkey? I dont have a huge spice selection at my house. Also I was given a Turkey for my family of 7 we are on a super tight budget
In my family we woulnd't have dreamed of making one person cook the entire dinner. Somebody who lived nearby brought the mashed potatoes. Somebody else brought frozen vegetables which could be popped in the wave. Somebody else brought the pies. Somebody else the cranberry sauce. You get the idea.
It's not what's in the off-brand ingredients, it's how they put it together. I always thought the same as Nicole until I bought a Walmart brand great value and it absolutely made us sick won't ever try great value again.
Don't talk to me about saving I want to spend got things to do please. Told you am stuck in the street. We can't talk like this about things we must meet. 🙂 Nothing new happen to me yet 🔥💪🔥
Fake it till you MAKE IT?.. How about being honest, serving the pie with ingredients you do have & if they want to try it they can. Hard to enjoy the holidays with phoneys
I love her voice and demeanor - and her tips.
Me too!

The Ritz apple pie recipe comes from the Great Depression and is awesome.

@@jdd8826 Sadly, that one isn't linked and I'd like to know the recipe too, it sounds delicious!
@@KzooBeerGirl agreed. I was not able to locate it either.
We did spaghetti one year. It was the best Thanksgiving. It was over 20 years ago. We stil talk about it. It was that memorable.

It kills me the way she can sneak in some wine at any meal ...... She's the best !!!!!
Love this channel love this lady

I sure enjoy you…you are great…make me smile everyday…love the crockpot recipes.
Have a blessed day from snowy BC Canada
Green beans, like almost all vegetables, need to be blanched before freezing - boil for 2-3 minutes, put in ice water, drain, then freeze.

Aldi house brand cereal is an inferior product.
Love watching you! Your recipes, tips and advice are always appreciated.
Love these tips and consider my mind blown. I cannot believe the Ritz crackers pie. Definitely going to try this!

I tried the Salisbury steak dish, great. Keep up the hoid work!
I would like a series of videos that are "one bag five dinners" or something like that. Maybe 20 items 5 dinners?
This is a great video! Can we see more about freezing different veggies? My veggies always stick to the pan. And a good way to freeze broths?
GREAT video!! Very helpful ideas, and the food looks absolutely delicious! Thanks!
Loved this! Please do Christmas dishes next.
Great idea!!
Can't wait to try the "apple" pie! Also what brand/ type of wine do you recommend for your festive mulled wine?
I really enjoy your videos. I've learned a lot😊
Love your food attitude 😂 it's so cute 🥰
Those were allgreat..thanks!
So creative and yum
we eat turkey and tradition on both sides of family so, on thanksgiving. we have pizza/parades/football. bam. new tradition
Canned cranberries have high fructose corn syrup!!! I never looked at the back of the can, and now I have. Such a bummer! :(
Everything is getting ridiculous on prices! Soon will have to pick mortgage over food or gas over food! What the heck is the deal!!!
What seasoning do you put on a Turkey? I dont have a huge spice selection at my house. Also I was given a Turkey for my family of 7 we are on a super tight budget
Poultry Seasoning is traditional but if your family likes things a little spicy you can use Cajon Seasoning too.
@@lisachapman6492 I dont have poultry season , I do have onion powder, garlic powder, and a knock off brand of Mrs dash . Would that be okay?
Thanks for sharing 🙂
What fresh bread is the best for stuffing?
Try a baget something hardy not soft sandwich bread.
Like 20 wow that looks delicious so nice beautiful thanks for sharing my dear friend stay connected 👍👍👍👈👈👈💛💛💛💛🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thanks for the tips looked great.
All fun stuff!!!
Such great tips! Have you tried Aldi's Winking Owl wines? You will be amazed at the quality for around $3.00.....really!!
Excellent tips. I love, love, love the sausage and rice recipe. Sadly, I couldn't find that recipe in the link. : (

What is a good way to season fresh green beans?
I always use salt/ to taste,a little melted unsalted butter, and squeeze of lemon to taste.Enjoy
Where can I find the mock apple pie recipe?
Enjoy u so much😄
