To enter the Hindu temples, you must walk in bare feet 🐾, no 👟, no 🧦. Leave the 👟 n the 🧦 outside the temple. Don't carry the 👟 inside your 🎒 even. Then you can come inside the temple. The Hindu priest didn't kick u out. U can still enter the temple, but leave your 🧦 n 👟 outside the temple. That's their religious rule. It applies to everybody, no exception. Unless if you walk up to Batu Caves, then you can wear 👟 walking the stairs up the hill. If you're going to the chinese temples, you can wear 👟 inside. If you're going to Muslim mosques or Sikh temples, leave your 👟 outside but u can still wear 🧦 inside. N always wear long pants👖, not 🩳 when you are visiting religious places in 🇲🇾, whether they are muslim mosques, hindu temples, chinese temples and sikh temples. Hope this info helps. Penang is a gold mine of good food if you have a local to bring you around, tourist areas are bad food traps that even locals avoid
