I can’t believe Louis finally saw a comic book movie and it was The Flash 😭 Please see Spiderverse at least, it has women in it!

every superhero movie from the past 5 years has been "guess who else is here..... the actor who played them in 2001 but they are from another dimension/universe.........hold for applause"

I just revisited THE NORTHMAN and agree with LV that Kidman deserved an Oscar nom for her performance. I forgot how incredible she is in the few scenes she's in. Im not sure if Focus Features even did an awards campaign for her. If not, they really did her dirty! Especially considering the weak competition in the supporting category last year, she had a shot!

While there are the obvious choices for best summer blockbusters, for me it's Independence Day, but that's probably a nostalgia factor. As you said, summer blockbusters used to be an event whereas now we get a superhero/Fast movie/Transformers movie every week. But the 80s and especially the 90s really pulled off the great summer blockbuster every year. And I was 11 when Independence Day came out, so I was a kid, school was out, 4th of July was about to happen, and ID4 had aliens and the end of the world and brand new action star Will Smith, I was pumped for this movie. It was the perfect example of what summer blockbusters used to be and what they should be.

Jason Schwartzman ❤ My favourite from the Wes Anderson repertory troupe! Great questions too… loved the little insights

I’m not a DC person but I’ve been paying attention only because I thought like my god how important and huge must this movie be to not just scrap it after all the Ezra shit? Like they shitcanned Batgirl for what seems like no real reason and compared to what y’all are saying about this yawnfest, Batgirl might have been pretty decent! Maybe in the multiverse Batgirl did come out and did fine…

18:40; well judging by its paltry opening weekend numbers (domestic & international) seems like hardly anyone went to see The Flash!

Grant Gustin is a better Flash.

Ezra Miller was fantastic in the movie regardless of how the rest of the movie is. They have always been a terrific talent before they were thrust into big Hollywood movies. People just wanna say Ezra isn’t talented anymore because they can’t just admit they can’t separate art from artist.

It's not separating the "art" from the artist when the issue (s) are new & media & audiences discovered controversy and/or problematic behavior before the decision to either cast or complete production. The issue is that when we learn of something in real time, where a person can face proportionate consequences, get help and be rehabilitated (when possible) so that not only do they not continue to harm others but also don't harm themselves by getting away with behavior non-famous/powerful people don't.
There are some ultra rich "talent" (some had a lot of potential, others who knows) who got away with so much, were a cash cow for production companies...until they weren't. They are now old, sad, and rich or not, not respected and rarely cast. So, if you appreciate the artist, humanize them as much as others are trying to humanize their victims or those they've done harm to. It's selfish & shortsighted to place a young potential talent in a position like that - where they aren't human - good or bad - just entertainment/jesters.

Louis is wrong, there is one celebrity that's openly anti-writer in the writer's strike, and that's Taylor Sheridan.

Yes he is miscast as Flash, but he was very good at the comedy, not humorless.
