  • Let's go for a ride and talk about the Royal Enfield GT 650. Is it any good? Should you purchase this motorcycle or move on to the next bike? Is Yammie Noob wrong in saying this motorcycle is a dumpster fire bike??? Let's find out in a POV ride and first impressions of this motorcycle!

      I went with the aew te 102 exhaust they sound awesome, still keep the classic look, way lighter than stock, and are only $350. They are basically the s&s pipes just half the price.

    FYI. The tyre manufacturer is CEAT Limited (formerly, Cavi Elettrici e Affini Torino) an almost 100 yr old Italian firm now only in India. Kinda keeps in sync with the enfield heritage tag😀

    I've had my 2021 Mr. Clean for two weeks now. Absolutely love it. Mine came with Pirellis, lucky me. One warning about the seat: if you haven't already ordered the single-seater with the cowl, I have read on owner forums that they are less comfy than the two-seater yours and mine came with. My longest ride so far has been around 90 minutes (from the dealer) and it's super comfortable. Plus you can use the pillion to strap down a rain suit or similar gear. I think the single-seater with the cowl looks cooler, but I wouldn't give up the comfort of the 'touring' seat.

    • @johnstanley7442
      @johnstanley7442 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd heard happy comments about a modest improvement attainable in the single seat from Hitchcocks, in the UK. They look similar, except the one I saw had RED stitching. The surface texture is not as smooth, resulting in less-SLIDE-PRONE seating, or "sticky," as the Rodeo Roughstock folks would say. I don't know HOW-MUCH the comfort improves, with that replacement seat, so you might want to see what you find-out, on a Forum.

    When the time comes, I'd heard that Michelin tires improved things, but I don't know WHICH model, sorry. Maybe check the Forums. The tiny bug-screen/mini-cowl/mini-windscreen that RE sells apparently cuts-down upon wind turbulence as air would otherwise be moving-through the instrument clocks, so that may NOT "just" be a styling item. If it cuts-down on avoidable buffeting, at-speed, that's a good thing, and can be less-tiring.

    Are you worried about punctures? As the tyres are not tubeless.

    • @captainmoto206
      @captainmoto206  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not particularly since most spoked wheels require the use of an inner tube so the air doesn’t leak out in the first place. In the US many of the bikes sold today are still sold with spoked wheels although if I had my choice I would prefer to be able to go tubeless as on my ZX10R.

      @@jmadduri7411 I have not personally seen anything that will clean up the rear of the bike like a simple fender eliminator. You can start by removing the plastic fender extension that comes on the bike from the factory. I took mine off within a few days of owning the bike and it does help the looks a bit and it doesn’t cost anything.

    Fuck me!… Don't you have some really boring roads near you?… Were those the best places to go to put it through its paces?
    I've had the Interceptor version of RE's 650 twins for a couple of years and I love its abilities in the twisties. Spent 5 weeks down in the Languedoc (SW France) in 2019, and it's the perfect bike in the mountains, chasing my brother who lives there on his ’06 Thruxton on roads he knows really well. Flexible enough to get away the wrong gear on a hairpin, and a good enough chassis (courtesy of Harris Performance) to handle those times when you brake a little late.
