I think the bikes handle pretty much the same. Neither of them are canyon carvers but they handle and steer very well. They are both styling exercises. One is a British standard the other a cafe racer. I chose the interceptor because I preferred the styling, wanted something good for commuting around town but could still go for longer rides down a twisty road.

I chose the Continental GT but like both, but it’s amazing how different handlebars, tank, seat and footrest position can transform a bike, the two really do have completely different characters and looks.

Excellent video! Right to the point, no stupid music, just beautiful engine sounds, answered all my questions. Well done!

Just came across your video- spring of '24. Bought a Rocket Red GT 6 weeks ago. Only 200 miles on clock but love it. My traveling bike is my R1250RS.,sport tourer. Being 6' 1" with long arms, the leaned over position is not terrible. They say no pain- no gain. LOL. By the way, I'm almost 71... going on 25. 👍👍5🏍🙋‍♂️

Good to finally catch up the other weekend, love the look of both, if I was young again I'd definitely go the GT, but I'm older now so ended up with the interceptor. Can't wait until you get that 2 into 1 Tec exhaust system on the GT. It's going to be awesome. Only seen them on the interceptor so far.

Very nice video and great comparison of these two both absolutely great bikes. Basically documents exactly my thoughts too, had a slight tendency more to the GT and got one recently.

I just bought a 650 INT 3 days ago. I need to make a few changes to get me to a more upright position and maybe a more comfortable seat but other than that the Interceptor is a great bike.

I like both bikes but would have to be the Int for me. Love the looks especially with the chrome tank. Hopefully getting one early next year, can't wait. Enjoyed your video another good one.. 👍

A good video and explained the differences well - thank you! As someone who used to ride Triumph, BSA, Norton back in the dark days of the reign of Brit bikes in NZ during the 1970's, a couple of observations about ergonomics. Triumph, BSA and Norton all had home market models, and export models destined for the lucrative US market.

I appreciate your review and thoughts. I didn’t realize the GT foot pegs were raised. After a knee injury, that leg only bends to 90 degrees. Thanks again.

Really enjoyed your video, thanks Vinnie! I own an Interceptor and absolutely love it. I just love Royal Enfield and I also have a Classic 500 and an iron barrel Bullet. Keep up the good work 🙂

I choose to purchase the Continental GT 650. I own a 1980 CSR-650 Kawasaki inline four, that my wife and I made into a Cafe style bike. My new Conti GT, outshines my Kawi in aesthetics dept. My Kawi has clubman bars, a custom style Cafe Racer seat, that my wife and I created from the existing metal swing up seat pan, also a MAC 4INT 1 EXHAUST. I fabricated the cowl, whilst my wife covered the cowl in marine grade fabric, machine sewn by her to follow the lines of the cowl. I used expandable foam I shaped into a cowl. This bike really does tip in amazingly well, but is very uncomfortable for extended rides. In contrast My Conti-650 seems perfect for extended rides with my height and weight, and I notice very little discomfort at all. Coming from a motorcycle background, began riding and racing at the age of 13, I am now 66, and digging my new Conti-650 thoroughly. Only 166 miles on the clock so far, so no where broken in yet. Seems Royal Enfield did a superb job designing the Cafe Style Continental-G.T. Wouldn't trade this bike for any other bike or money, a "TRUE MODERN" Classic in every since of the words!

Howdy mate like your work. Interceptor and I love it. Had a bit of a fiddle with it, different cans, bar end mirrors, front fork preload and clean out of header pipes. Maybe I'll drop rear end a bit and love a nice low lumpy idle.

This was definitely a good description of the two and their differences. I own an INT650, similar to yours but chrome and red tank and I have the same exhausts. I got it two days ago and I really enjoy it!

  • @winark66

Thanks for the review mate. I'm going for the GT. Cheers from Taranaki, churr bro
