It's strange how I had never noticed the watch Ripley wore in any of the films, I guess my horological tendencies came later. Never be afraid to geek out, your enthusiasm was infectious. You hit all the high notes, the watch just *fits* the film.
Aliens was such an awesome movie. I think that’s a big part of why people like those watches. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I’ll leave it at that.

Playing Alien Isolation last year I got kind of obsessed with Ripley Jr.s watch, inspired by the twin watches Ripley wore in the original alien. It was two Casio F-100's on a black nylon band with a weird orange rubber backing pad. I had an idea to try to copy it, with a couple of Casio CA-53 calculator watches (F-100s are pretty are these days), but I could never work out what to use for the orange rubber backing. Lately another game has had me wanting an old digital, Metal Gear Solid V has an old Seiko Digiborg SG757, which I've nearly snagged off eBay a couple of times, but the price always goes beyond what I think it's worth to me to have one. Hardest of all to find in functional condition is another 1980's classic, the LCD analog watch from Blue Thunder, which I think is a Casio AA-85? I have 3 Casio LCD analogs, but it would ice the cake to have Murphy's watch. Catch ya later!
Sci-fi classic, I always forget how intense the musical score is. Really glad you got your hands on one. And thank you always for putting in so much prep for your videos, even a simple unboxing. I think my favorite Giugiaro "future 80's car would be the BMW M1.
I got mine from Japan also. I never noticed the watch until my gf pointed out it was being released again. I love aliens. I get lots of compliments on it. I took it to the watch shop in town to get it sized and the girls made such a big deal about the design.

As far as watches in movies are concerned, I really liked Jason Bourne's watch from the movies. Those movies came out during my teen years so he's one of the coolest characters in my mind lol. He Wears a Tag Heuer Link Automatic. I do know of all the connotation Tag has these days but I would hope the movies redeem this specific model some lol. Congratulations on the 20K Subs. The hour indicator on the chronograph hour hand subdial needs to be corrected to initial position. Just pull the crown to the date adj. position or to the time adj. position and try one of the chronograph push buttons to control the hour chronograph hand separately. That grey coating seems like titanium, "top notch" 👍😉 My all time movie related watch is the famous Monaco Heuer chronograph which Steve McQueen used on the "Le Mans" movie. Iconic for all "petrolheads" and classic Porsche enthusiasts like I am 😀👌

Good intro about Giugiaro. On the down side, H.R. Giger is not H.P. Lovecraft nor H.G. Wells, but if you mix them together you get something like Alien. and I agree this is one of the greatest movie.

I'm pretty sure if I had Bishop's watch, since that is my favorite character from the movie, I would wear it everyday. Just too cool, love the whole design and function.

looks good quality, the bracelet is much thinner than the original. Shame Seiko didn't use new 7a28/7a38 movements as they were superbly engineered. All you need now is a 7a28-7120, 7a28-7020, H558-5000,H601-5050............... I have about 60 in my collection, they are addictive !

But the watch is stunningly "Eighties-ish", congrats! When it comes to favourite movie watches - the one I can remind right now is Omega DeVille Hour Vision from "Up in the air" George Clooney wore. Don't know why, but I love this one - simple yet refined and really classy with a nice flare thanks to the inner "rings" on the dial.

I have the black variant (SCED037) and it a great conversation starter. I am guessing SCED03x series house the only quartz-chrono movement made by Seiko, ever. Plus the Hollywood heritage makes it a must own piece.

Steve McQueen's Tag Monaco from the 1971 film Le Mans. It's an iconic watch and is instantly recognisable due to its shape and colouring.
Super Cool watch. Have run resizing, those folded links can be a fit fiddly to pop out the first time. Love the coating Seiko put on there.

Nice watch. From the practical side, the buttons appear to be in a great position for those of us who wear their watch on the right arm.
I have the black variant (SCED037) and it a great conversation starter. I am guessing SCED03x series house the only quartz-chrono movement made by Seiko, ever. Plus the Hollywood heritage makes it a must own piece.
