With offense magic he can trace the path of mana until the end result. With healing all the important stuff happens outside the casters body

It makes sense to the anime didn't try harder to keep Fitz mystery from the audience. It works in the novel and maybe the manga because it's just text/images. But anime has sound and motion and people would recognize the voice immediately and pick up on other things along that line. Maybe that's why they didn't really work at keeping Fitz identity from the audience. (and personally I think it was a good idea to cut this aspect from the anime. It wouldn't have worked I think)

With Mushoku tensei, where within the chapters do you believe the anime is currently at? Should I read it from the beginning? The only reason I'd consider this, is if there are key things that were left out. I've watched many recounts between the differences but, most of them are small interactions between characters.
@@UndefinedStasis The anime is at chapter 09 - Sylphiette chapter. I personally recommend reading the WN/LN because I think the author is an amazing world builder and there's just too much detail for the studio to put into an anime. That said, I think they've done a masterful job this season.

They also skipped the attempt before this, where Fitz said there was an accident in the girl's dorm and he had to crash in Rudy's room for a night. She was supposed to have Rudy walking on her changing. And when that failed she was supposed to crawl into his bed in the middle of the night. It's when she fails this that Arial gets fed up and forces this last scenario.

That was really something hearing Kayano san give that speech (what Sylphie wants). You could just guess that at a future live event they might force her to say it again.

They showed the scar on her hand in the anime, but I didn't get it because I haven't read the LN. I figured it was a reference to something that they must have left out.
I was wondering this whole season how they would handle the silfey being striped down because it was relatively tramatic for her especially with for awhile with rudy thinking that she was a guy so its relatively simmler to the past but turning past trama into silfys kink and it being consensual this time probably helped was a interesting way of going about it.

Rudy is not part of boreas especially considering all the boreas are considered to be dead and even Eris was pronounced dead to protect her. If anything Rudy would have been known as Rudeus Notos Greyrat since his father was first in line for the position and had that name. This is also why Luke is his first cousin. Eris was some form of a cousin removed once or twice I think. So he cut his ties the same way his father had.

In the Novel..Rudy was super happy and in love with her. But also stunned, and upset with himself for not realizing it was her.. drown in all those emotions made his face look numb.
If the director doesn’t skip over this part it should be in next episode when Rudy & Sylphy talk in the cave. Bit of background which wouldn’t be mentioned since its from a POV from Lillia when she provided the necklace to Rudeus in a box with Roxie’s holy relic, Lilia did not mention the necklace was from Sylphy for fear that it may upset Rudeus since Lillia believed Sylphy had died during the teleportation event.

This is the second time this scene made me cry. Once with the LN and then this in the anime. Man I still remember myself talking in my mind that I could not imagine myself crying while a S scene is running on the screen.
We still need to get through the wedding arc, which although I don't mind at all it's still a huge snoozefest. After that the plot finally gets better.
The thought of opposition schools always makes me wonder about toki and how that might fall in the same category of magic affinity. Rudeus was a bookwork super early which might have stunted his affinity to toki (battle aura) Sopilers !!!!!!!!! LN explains the laplace effect was the cause of his stunted growth but i saw that more as a correlation not causation scenario because of the dust thing from the flying fortress.

@Otaku Spirit so I rewatched the episode again and you said that Sylphie has a scar on her hand from when she burned herself when she was 3, so when you go to the timestamp 14:17 when she's going to use the ring, I'm very sure you can see the scar that you're talking about and I'm real sure that's not suppose to be shading on her hand. They still have the scar on her just didn't mention it when Rudy took her gloves off
Sylphie did look amazing in that jacket - the perfect combination of powerful and cute. This is such a wonderful love story - Sylphie deserved happiness after all of her misery and all of her dedication to self-improvement, as well a such a single-minded pursuit of love. They make such a wonderful couple.
Funny how LN Silphy sound like a cute pure girl who's a closet-pervert while Manga and Anime silphy is more innocent but still shows a bit of being a closet pervert.
He was officially king tear when he learned the sandstorm spell. Not sure if they spied it in the anime or not but it was from a cuple of episodes ago. Also badigadi said his stone cannon was of emperor level of strength (as a result of Rudy’s silent spell casting he is able to transfer more mana into spells even if they are basic ones like stone cannon that’s why badigadi said his stone cannon had the same effect as a emperor level spell so I guess you could also call home a emperor level magicia)
One thing, I believe that Rudeus is part of the Notos Greyrats, not Boreas. Luke is actually Rudeus' cousin, though Paul was disowned from the Notos Family.
Seems unlikely we will see anything of Eris until the end of Season 3. Maybe an OVA between part 1 and part 2 of season 3. I just got to the part in the LN where she comes back to the story, I really want a figure of her older. She is still best girl.
I think it’s under rated or not talked about enough about how powerful Fitz/sylphy is. Literally nobody in the school besides, Rudius can beat them. Take away, Rudius, huge mana pool and his intelligence from his previous life and I feel fitz is a better mage.
Im getting a sense that season 2 is getting worse. Maybe thats because i read the LN but i actually didnt think the first season was that bad compared to the LN. There was a lot more of inner perspective moments in the first season like rudeus' inner monologues which seems to happen a lot less in season 2. Another thing that I notice is the removal of the more perverted parts from the LN like the staff joke during the badi fight or again a lot of rudeus' inner monologue. Im getting a lot more basic anime protagonist vibes from rudeus lately. Its a shame they aren't including these more fleshed out character points. I dunno but we'll see where it goes.
I'm guessing it has to do with the novels they're adapting. For volumes 1-6 there was a lot of stuff that could be skipped without causing trouble down the line. That's not the case for 7-12 however. Nearly every scene needs to get screentime and since they stuck to 4 episodes per volume they have to rush things more. I really hope they don't try to adapt volumes 13-15 at 4 episodes per volumes because that's pretty much impossible.
One thing that confused me a bit is that the anime showed that Rudeus was wearing Sylphie's necklace she gave him on his 10th birthday, no? I was surprised that this wasn't pointed out. You would think that Sylphie would notice.
I'm genuinely curious as someone who only has heard of some spoilers/read manga/watched anime. Did the LN have a deeper insight on the potential forgetfulness part? In the manga there's the sense that a part of why Sylphy doesn't reveal who she is immediately is because she suffered memory loss for a while after the teleportation incident, and maybe there was a chance that happened to Rudy as well (outside of the other reasons he wouldn't recognize her). Once I saw that this was left out of the anime I was sad as it was in my opinion a very interesting motivator that made the "well maybe he just doesn't remember me" line of thinking make a lot more sense. However I also haven't heard it brought up in these videos that i've been watching every week and so now i'm wondering if that was even a thing in the LN.
It was mentioned in Season 1. So most of us had time to 'digest' that information. It was either the episode where Lilla said she was pregnant or the one after. Would take a bit to find the exact time.

One interesting thing is that Ariel('s CV) didn't use the charismatic voice acting but a more plain and friendly voice when talking to Sylphy. Also Fitz didn't appear in this episode, there's only Sylphy.
Maybe this is a place to mention what I think was a mistake with the "Fitz" design. Her male uniform is missing one simple thing that would have made her look more manly, and would have made this disrobing more effective: Shoulder pads. If Fitz had big wide fake man shoulders - "his manliness" would have been just a little more believable.

You get her perspective and how she was feeling throughout all of season 1 pretty much. As much as we don't condone pirating it's definitely worth uhhhh doing a quick google like "read Mushoku Tensei Volume 6" and finding an online copy I would say it's worth reading them all but I know not everyone likes to read. For what it's worth, it's a fantastic series. It's even better than the Anime imho because you get characters inner monologues and their thought process

I didn't love this arc. Humans are inherently pattern seeking and often look for the qualities of the ones they love most in others around them. Rudy would have to be insanely dense not to even suspect Fitz to be Sylphiette at all up until this point. Also, the whole situation is a call back to something that happened in the span of two episodes just the previous season. And now the same situation is being played out in worse animation over the course of ten episodes in season two. I love Mushoku Tensei, but I can't wait for this arc to be over with >.

Maybe it's just me but I felt like this episode was incredibly underwhelming 😥 I was looking forward to this moment so much and the awkward pacing, off kilter music, bland dialogue, and weird animations really broke the immersion for me. It may sound dramatic to say this, but this episode felt emotionless.

She recognized the necklace in one of the ln chapters. Problem is Lilia never told him who made the necklace.
They showed the scar on her hand in the anime, but I didn't get it because I haven't read the LN. I figured it was a reference to something that they must have left out.
I was wondering this whole season how they would handle the silfey being striped down because it was relatively tramatic for her especially with for awhile with rudy thinking that she was a guy so its relatively simmler to the past but turning past trama into silfys kink and it being consensual this time probably helped was a interesting way of going about it.

@@nathankeel6667 I guess, but it's a little weird, as someone who read the light novel from where the first season of the anime left off, I've gotten the impression that Sylphy is, for lack of a better word, submissive when it comes to sexual things unless she's intoxicated or in a private space, like she's ok with Rudy's antics but doesn't particularly encourage, or, to any extent copy it
@captaink8093 I mean the way she blushed talking about and somewhat happiness in her voice when talking about the incident and in the cave gave me the impression she enjoyed it but you have more context then me so maybe I'm misinterpreting it I'm not one to praise Mt to high heaven but it's charchter writting tends to be its best parts and it felt a little strange that even if the 2 of them got over it that silfey wouldn't feel at least a little uncomfortable especially with how shy she is so it being a kink seemed to be the best explanation
@@nathankeel6667 As much as I love Mushoku Tensei (I don't think I've enjoyed a book as much as I did for MT), I'll admit there are some pretty questionable choices in its writing, but for the most part it has great writing in its characters, that, as the unofficial grandfather of Isekai, people need to look at on how to write instead of pumping out shit like "I was sent to another world with my phone" and other crap like that

Rudy is not part of boreas especially considering all the boreas are considered to be dead and even Eris was pronounced dead to protect her. If anything Rudy would have been known as Rudeus Notos Greyrat since his father was first in line for the position and had that name. This is also why Luke is his first cousin. Eris was some form of a cousin removed once or twice I think. So he cut his ties the same way his father had.
The affinities part might be why rudy can't do a battle aura. He was a timid, not extremely active child

Did i miss something 🤔 . Has rudy ever showed Fitz the necklace slyphie made for him. At the end of the ep i was expecting a line about the necklaces esp when his shirt is off. And why wasnt rudy happier at the end
I was thinking the same thing. I thought once she had seen the necklace, she would know he didn't forget about her.
In the Novel..Rudy was super happy and in love with her. But also stunned, and upset with himself for not realizing it was her.. drown in all those emotions made his face look numb.
If the director doesn’t skip over this part it should be in next episode when Rudy & Sylphy talk in the cave. Bit of background which wouldn’t be mentioned since its from a POV from Lillia when she provided the necklace to Rudeus in a box with Roxie’s holy relic, Lilia did not mention the necklace was from Sylphy for fear that it may upset Rudeus since Lillia believed Sylphy had died during the teleportation event.

The thought of opposition schools always makes me wonder about toki and how that might fall in the same category of magic affinity. Rudeus was a bookwork super early which might have stunted his affinity to toki (battle aura)

@Otaku Spirit so I rewatched the episode again and you said that Sylphie has a scar on her hand from when she burned herself when she was 3, so when you go to the timestamp 14:17 when she's going to use the ring, I'm very sure you can see the scar that you're talking about and I'm real sure that's not suppose to be shading on her hand. They still have the scar on her just didn't mention it when Rudy took her gloves off

He heard that line from either Sylphy or Paul when they were younger after the incident i think.
Sylphie did look amazing in that jacket - the perfect combination of powerful and cute. This is such a wonderful love story - Sylphie deserved happiness after all of her misery and all of her dedication to self-improvement, as well a such a single-minded pursuit of love. They make such a wonderful couple.
The schools and the previous adversion idea could be connected to why rudeus can't do barrier or battle aura? In the previous life trauma idea.

He was officially king tear when he learned the sandstorm spell. Not sure if they spied it in the anime or not but it was from a cuple of episodes ago.
Also badigadi said his stone cannon was of emperor level of strength (as a result of Rudy’s silent spell casting he is able to transfer more mana into spells even if they are basic ones like stone cannon that’s why badigadi said his stone cannon had the same effect as a emperor level spell so I guess you could also call home a emperor level magicia)

I think it’s under rated or not talked about enough about how powerful Fitz/sylphy is. Literally nobody in the school besides, Rudius can beat them. Take away, Rudius, huge mana pool and his intelligence from his previous life and I feel fitz is a better mage.

Im getting a sense that season 2 is getting worse. Maybe thats because i read the LN but i actually didnt think the first season was that bad compared to the LN. There was a lot more of inner perspective moments in the first season like rudeus' inner monologues which seems to happen a lot less in season 2. Another thing that I notice is the removal of the more perverted parts from the LN like the staff joke during the badi fight or again a lot of rudeus' inner monologue. Im getting a lot more basic anime protagonist vibes from rudeus lately. Its a shame they aren't including these more fleshed out character points. I dunno but we'll see where it goes.
I'm guessing it has to do with the novels they're adapting. For volumes 1-6 there was a lot of stuff that could be skipped without causing trouble down the line.
That's not the case for 7-12 however. Nearly every scene needs to get screentime and since they stuck to 4 episodes per volume they have to rush things more.
I really hope they don't try to adapt volumes 13-15 at 4 episodes per volumes because that's pretty much impossible.

The girl had to suffer from being soaked and thirsty throughout the entire journey, then it rained.
One thing that confused me a bit is that the anime showed that Rudeus was wearing Sylphie's necklace she gave him on his 10th birthday, no? I was surprised that this wasn't pointed out. You would think that Sylphie would notice.
I wonder if they will skip the scene with a special potions bottle next week and just go do a time skip...
I'm genuinely curious as someone who only has heard of some spoilers/read manga/watched anime. Did the LN have a deeper insight on the potential forgetfulness part? In the manga there's the sense that a part of why Sylphy doesn't reveal who she is immediately is because she suffered memory loss for a while after the teleportation incident, and maybe there was a chance that happened to Rudy as well (outside of the other reasons he wouldn't recognize her). Once I saw that this was left out of the anime I was sad as it was in my opinion a very interesting motivator that made the "well maybe he just doesn't remember me" line of thinking make a lot more sense. However I also haven't heard it brought up in these videos that i've been watching every week and so now i'm wondering if that was even a thing in the LN.

funny, that ending scene, or atleast the following scenes in that event is what the webtoon i read of ended on before i picked up the LN XD so was half wondering how it would turn out in the anime
One interesting thing is that Ariel('s CV) didn't use the charismatic voice acting but a more plain and friendly voice when talking to Sylphy. Also Fitz didn't appear in this episode, there's only Sylphy.
Maybe this is a place to mention what I think was a mistake with the "Fitz" design. Her male uniform is missing one simple thing that would have made her look more manly, and would have made this disrobing more effective: Shoulder pads. If Fitz had big wide fake man shoulders - "his manliness" would have been just a little more believable.

You get her perspective and how she was feeling throughout all of season 1 pretty much. As much as we don't condone pirating it's definitely worth uhhhh doing a quick google like "read Mushoku Tensei Volume 6" and finding an online copy
I would say it's worth reading them all but I know not everyone likes to read. For what it's worth, it's a fantastic series. It's even better than the Anime imho because you get characters inner monologues and their thought process

Why do we always put real life problems into anime, we watch anime to entertain us and escape the real world not to reflect it or our views. Watch it for what it is, if you don’t like it or feel uncomfortable what you’re seeing just don’t watch it. So many people complain about the contents of the anime and even sent death treats to the creator, don’t see anyone going this hard on Baku no pico. 😂

She did not force him. She gave him every opportunity to say no. He did not. Besides, at that point he knew exactly what was goimg on even if he didnt know her identity. People with this take are just straight up stupid and clearly dont understand the thing that theyre watching.
I really hope they're saving money for future episodes so they can go off during action scenes beause this episode looked extremely cheap.
I didn't love this arc. Humans are inherently pattern seeking and often look for the qualities of the ones they love most in others around them. Rudy would have to be insanely dense not to even suspect Fitz to be Sylphiette at all up until this point. Also, the whole situation is a call back to something that happened in the span of two episodes just the previous season. And now the same situation is being played out in worse animation over the course of ten episodes in season two. I love Mushoku Tensei, but I can't wait for this arc to be over with >.
I appreciate these videos. It's a lot easier than reading these long-ass chapters that I skipped in the Light Novel. And no, no one here is going to convince me to go back and read these chapters. I'm fine where I'm at.

I think calling her making Rudy undress her s_ harassment is really lame. Its for medical reasons.
Maybe it's just me but I felt like this episode was incredibly underwhelming 😥 I was looking forward to this moment so much and the awkward pacing, off kilter music, bland dialogue, and weird animations really broke the immersion for me. It may sound dramatic to say this, but this episode felt emotionless.
